In some embodiments, there is provided a method that includes: sending a container image to a second cloud platform hosting a production system, wherein the container image includes configuration instructions to configure monitoring of an application at the production system hosted at the second cloud platform and at least one value to be monitored at the application at the production system hosted at the second cloud platform; receiving at least one message including the at least one value indicative of a current state of the application and/or the cloud platform; comparing the at least one value to at least one threshold; and in response to the at least one value exceeding the at least one threshold, sending an alert message.

A method includes automatically configuring a cluster using pre-defined templates of one or more servers positioned in an edge location. The method also includes creating a plurality of configuration profile templates. The method also includes obtaining one or more parameter values. The method also includes defining a plurality of parameters in each of the plurality of configuration profile templates based upon the one or more parameter values obtained. The method also includes creating a master template based on the plurality of configuration profile templates. The method also includes storing the master template in a repository. The method also includes automatically creating a planned inventory file based on the master template. The method also includes configuring the cluster of the one or more servers based on the planned inventory.

NETWORK SERVICE ACTIVATION SYSTEM

Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for a service activation system in a telecommunications network that utilizes one or more generic container files for building the configuration file to instantiate the service on the network. A request for service from a network may be received from an order entry system that includes specific information about the requested service. A collection of generic configuration files may be selected based on the information included in the service order and arranged to build a configuration file to be executed on the network. The service activation system may also include a component or group of components to verify a received service order and alter the service order with default information or data where applicable. The configuration file may also be executed on the network through one or more drivers communicating with the affected devices to configure the one or more network devices.

VIRTUAL NETWORK FUNCTION UPGRADE TOOL

Techniques are described for upgrading a virtualized network function (VNF) implemented in a virtualized computing environment configured in a user-specific configuration. The virtualized network function is implemented by a plurality of VNF components (VNFCs) executing in a plurality of virtual machines managed by a virtualized infrastructure manager (VIM). An upgrade component is configured to execute as a virtual resource and execute a series of operations that coordinate an upgrade of the VNFCs implementing the VNF and interact with the VIM and the virtual machines to effect the upgrade. A configuration file pertaining to a new software version defining the upgrade and a set of upgrade instructions. Based on the configuration file, the upgrade instructions are translated to a series of operations on the virtual machines and interactions with the VIM to effect the upgrade.

An example method includes, at a server associated with a cloud management platform, receiving a configuration file associated with a cloud infrastructure tool describing a desired state of a cloud infrastructure; creating a hybrid cloud template by incorporating content from the configuration file into a native cloud template within the cloud management platform; determining whether one or more updates for achieving the desired state of the cloud infrastructure based on the hybrid cloud template are valid; upon determining that the one or more updates are valid: creating the cloud infrastructure to achieve the desired state of the cloud infrastructure in accordance with the hybrid cloud template using the cloud infrastructure tool; and storing state information of the cloud infrastructure after the cloud infrastructure is created.

A method includes identifying a master template from a repository corresponding to one or more servers in a preconfigured cluster positioned at an edge location. The identifying also includes receiving an input from a user defining a new configuration set by the user. The identifying also includes changing one or more parameter values in at least one configuration profile references. The identifying also includes creating a new master template based on the one or more parameter values. The identifying also includes creating a new planned inventory file based on the new master template. The identifying also includes changing an existing configuration of the one or more servers in the preconfigured cluster during runtime, based on the new planned inventory file.
