Network controller for multi-site logical network
Some embodiments provide a method for a first network controller executing at a first site of multiple sites spanned by a logical network. Network controllers execute at each site. The method generates logical network state data for the first site based on (i) data received from computing devices that implement the logical network at the first site and (ii) logical network configuration data from a network manager at the first site. The method provides the logical network state data for the first site to a second network controller executing at a second site. The method provides logical network state data received from the second site to the computing devices that implement the logical network at the first site.
Method for primary-backup server switching, and control server
A method for primary-backup server switching. A control server monitors whether a primary server fails. The control server is in communication connection with the primary server and a backup server. The primary server is provided with a primary memory database. The primary memory database is configured to save in real time state information of the primary server each time after an operation is executed, and the state information is read and saved in real time by a backup memory database in a backup server. In response to a failure of the primary server, the control server sends a primary-backup switching command to the backup server. The primary-backup switching command is configured to instruct the backup server to upgrade itself to become a new primary server according to the state information saved in the backup memory database.
Migration of profiles between virtual connect domains
Migration of profiles between virtual connect domains is described. In an example, a plurality of validations are performed on a profile from a first virtual connect domain virtualizing devices using a first configuration. The profile is updated based on a second virtual connect domain virtualizing devices using a second configuration. The profile is moved for use by a device in the second virtual connect domain.
Preconfigured device representations
Technology is described for providing preconfigured device representations in a service provider environment. A plurality of device representation parameters may be received for a device via a user account. A preconfigured device representation may be created for the device using the plurality of device representation parameters. The preconfigured device representation may be associated with the user account. The device may be registered with the service provider environment. A registration of the device may be performed when the device initially connects to the service provider environment. The registration may assign a device identifier to the device and may associate the user account with the device. The preconfigured device representation may be provided to the device after the registration of the device is completed.
Cross-client sensor user interface in an integrated security network
An integrated system includes a system user interface (SUI) that provides an iconic, at-a-glance representation of integrated security system status. The SUI is for use across all client devices including mobile or cellular telephones, a mobile portal, a web portal, and a touchscreen device. The SUI includes a number of display elements presented across all types of client devices for monitoring status of the integrated security system. The display elements of the SUI include an orb icon, text summary, security button, device warnings, system warnings, interesting sensors, and quiet sensors. The SUI thus provides system status summary information agnostically across all clients. Additionally, the SUI provides consistent iconography, terminology, and display rules across all clients as well as consistent sensor and system detail across clients.
Dynamic cloning of application infrastructures
Techniques for dynamically cloning application infrastructures are provided. In one embodiment, a computer system can monitor one or more metrics pertaining to an infrastructure for an application at a first site. If the one or more metrics exceed or fall below one or more corresponding thresholds, the computer system can clone the infrastructure at a second site distinct from the first site, thereby enabling the application to be hosted at the second site.
Forwarding Data Packets In Software Defined Networks
A software defined network (SDN) controller may configure a Layer-three gateway for a network segment in a hybrid network device within a SDN network, receive a Packet-in message encapsulated with a Layer-three data packet from a SDN network device, calculate an optimum path from source media access control (MAC) address of the data packet to destination MAC address of the data packet, and issue a flow entry to each network device in the optimum path. Subsequently, each network device may forward the data packet based on the flow entry.
METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR SYNCHRONIZING USER CONFIGURATION BETWEEN DIFFERENT DEVICES
A method for synchronizing at least one device setting between a first gateway device and a second gateway device includes accessing a graphical user interface (GUI) for the first gateway device on a client device, establishing a network connection between the first gateway device and the second gateway device, obtaining a prior user configuration of device settings from the second gateway device, parsing the device settings of the second gateway device, selecting, via the GUI for the first gateway device, at least one of the device settings of the second gateway device to obtain a new user configuration, and transmitting the new user configuration to the first gateway device for implementation.
DISK DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
Problem to be Solved
Providing a new disk distribution system, assuming “local-boot”, that is capable of efficiently executing an update or a generation management of OS image data.
Solution
A disk distribution system comprising at least one master server that is connected with a plurality of terminals through the network,
wherein an OS image data, or the OS image data including an operating system for the terminals is processed as the master data, the OS image data being managed by the master server, a copy of the data or a copy of the data converted into a predetermined format is deployed as a boot image for the terminals,
when the master data is updated, the terminals receive the copy of the differential data relative to the master data before update through the network from the master server while the terminals are operating, and the boot images of the terminals are updated by rebooting the terminals.
AUTOMATICALLY REPLICATING CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS FROM SECURELY IDENTIFIED CONNECTED SYSTEMS
Methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for automatically replicating configuration parameters from securely identified connected systems are provided herein. An example computer-implemented method includes discovering a set of one or more systems connected via at least one network; identifying at least one of the one or more systems of the discovered set by processing cryptographic data associated with at least a portion of the one or more systems; establishing a communication session with the at least one identified system by securing at least one application programming interface; replicating one or more configuration parameters from at least a portion of the at least one identified system in connection with the established communication session; and performing one or more automated actions based at least in part on the one or more replicated configuration parameters.
