MODEL DRIVEN PROCESS FOR AUTOMATED DEPLOYMENT OF DOMAIN 2.0 VIRTUALIZED SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS ON CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE

A model-driven system automatically deploys a virtualized service, including multiple service components, on a distributed cloud infrastructure. A master service orchestrator causes a cloud platform orchestrator to retrieve a cloud services archive file, extract a cloud resource configuration template and create cloud resources at appropriate data centers as specified. The master service orchestrator also causes a software defined network controller to retrieve the cloud services archive file, to extract a cloud network configuration template and to configure layer 1 through layer 3 virtual network functions and to set up routes between them. Additionally, the master service orchestrator causes an application controller to retrieve the cloud services archive file, to extract a deployment orchestration plan and to configure and start layer 4 through layer 7 application components and bring them to a state of operational readiness.

Accelerated network reconnect using previous connection parameters

A Wi-Fi device includes a controller coupled to a writeable memory implementing a MAC and PHY layer and to a transceiver. Connection data stored in the writeable memory includes Wi-Fi connection parameters including≥1 router MAC level information or a most recently utilized (MRU) channel used, and IP addresses including≥1 of an IP address of the Wi-Fi device, IP address of the MRU router, an IP address of a MRU target server, and an IP address of a network connected device. An accelerated reconnecting to a Wi-Fi network algorithm is implemented by the processor is for starting from being in a network disconnected state, establishing current connection parameters for a current Wi-Fi network connection using the Wi-Fi connection parameters for at least one MAC layer parameter for the MAC layer.

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for coordinating modifications to a network device configuration (config) are provided. A system, according to one implementation, includes a processing device and a memory device configured to store a computer program having instructions that, when executed, enable the processing device to create a collaboration group including a plurality of contributing members. Each contributing member is adapted to provide proposed changes to a configuration for defining operating parameters of a Network Element (NE) in a network. The contributing members are adapted to provide the proposed changes within a predetermined timeframe. The instructions further enable the processing device to consolidate the proposed changes from the plurality of contributing members into a batched transaction and commit the batched transaction as a unitary transaction to encode modifications associated with the proposed changes from the plurality of contributing members into the configuration.

System and method of dynamic system resource allocation for primary storage systems with virtualized embedded data protection

Embodiments provide for a primary storage array having multiple storage tiers. The multiple storage tiers include one or more performance tiers and at least one deduplicated storage tier storing deduplicated data. One embodiment provides for a data storage system including the storage array and an I/O engine to manage I/O requests for the storage array. The data storage system additionally includes a virtual execution environment to execute a virtual backup engine, the virtual backup engine to generate backup data for the one or more storage tiers of primary storage and deduplicate the backup data and a resource manager to manage a resource allocation to the virtual backup engine based on a hint received from the virtual backup engine, the hint associated with a backup operation that has a characterization selected from a set including computationally intensive and I/O intensive.

Embodiments relate to creating a backup configuration page for a modem. The backup configuration page can be accessed while the modem is experiencing a service problem to facilitate restoring the configuration settings of the modem to those associated with the backup configuration page. In some embodiments, a configuration diagnostic test can be performed before saving the configuration settings as the backup configuration page so as to assure a user that the configuration settings of the backup configuration page do not or will not create a service problem.

Computing infrastructure standards assay

Systems and techniques for computing infrastructure standards assay are described herein. A set of existing configurations may be obtained of an existing software application executing on a set of computing systems operating in the computing infrastructure. The set of existing configurations may be evaluated using artificial intelligence to identify the standard configuration. The standard configuration may include a set of configuration options that appear most often in the set of existing configurations. A score may be generated for each existing configuration of the set of existing configurations based on deviation between the existing configuration and the standard configuration. A notification may be transmitted to an administrator based on the score. The notification may include an indication of options of the standard configuration that differ from options of the existing configuration.

Device lifecycle management via a central identity service

Managing devices in an IoT environment. A method includes, as a result of a device being provisioned by a special-purpose solution, storing at a central unified registry a correlation of the device and the given special purpose solution. The method further includes correlating the device to a different special-purpose solution at the unified registry. As a result, the method further includes causing subsequent configuration of the device to be performed by the different special-purpose solution.

An information processing apparatus is configured to manage, in a storage, device information about a plurality of management target devices. The information processing apparatus includes an acceptance unit configured to, in a case where a device search on a network is to be set, accept settings including a first specification about a search range for finding a management target device and a second specification about information for identifying a non-management target device, an identification unit configured to identify device information about the non-management target device corresponding to the second specification included in the accepted settings from the device information managed in the storage, and a deletion unit configured to delete the identified device information from the device information managed in the storage.

Unidirectional link detection misconfiguration auto-detection

The disclosure provides a method for determining a configuration mismatch between a first device and a second device. During operation, a first device receives a plurality of Unidirectional Link Detection (UDLD) protocol messages from a second device. The first device is configured with a first interval configuration value corresponding to a frequency which the first device sends the UDLD protocol messages to the second device. The first device determines a second interval configuration value of the second device, which corresponds to a frequency which the second device sends the UDLD protocol messages to the first device. The first device determines that there is a configuration mismatch between the first device and the second device, and creates a log entry for the configuration mismatch, the log entry including the first and second interval configuration values.

SHARING CONFIGURATION RESOURCES FOR NETWORK DEVICES AMONG APPLICATIONS

In an example, a method includes receiving, by a network management system (NMS), a configuration request comprising first configuration data for a network device, the first configuration data defining a data structure comprising a first property/value pair; generating, by the NMS from the first configuration data, a corresponding first path/value pair for the first property/value pair, wherein a path of the first path/value pair uniquely identifies the first path/value pair in an associative data structure; modifying, by the NMS, the associative data structure based on the first path/value pair; generating, by the NMS, from the associative data structure, a configuration resource comprising second configuration data for the network device, the second configuration data comprising a second property/value pair that corresponds to the first path/value pair; and sending, by the NMS, the second configuration data to the network device to modify a configuration of the network device.
