Deploying a network management controller in an existing data center fabric
Some organizations have a deployed and functional “controllerless” EVPN VxLAN Fabric in their data centers. Eventually, however, the organization may deploy a controller within the network. In one example, this disclosure describes a method that includes configuring a controller to communicate with each of a plurality of elements in a network; determining, by the controller, an initial operational state of the network; translating, by the controller, the initial operational state of the network to an intent-based configuration; pushing, by the controller, the intent-based configuration to the network to reconfigure each of the plurality of elements in the network in a manner consistent with the intent-based configuration; determining, by the controller and after pushing the intent-based configuration, an updated operational state of the network; and comparing, by the controller, the initial operational state of the network with the updated operational state of the network.
MULTIMODE NETWORK MANAGEMENT CONFIGURATION MODEL UPGRADE METHOD AND DEVICE
A multimode network management configuration model upgrade method and apparatus are disclosed. The method includes: expanding a configuration directory of all systems supported by a serving end and a client; conducting secondary development and deployment of a configuration model in the configuration directory; and issuing a configuration to a base station side.
HCI distributed ledger management system
An HCI distributed ledger management system includes a first HCI node in an HCI system that uses its first HCI node data to generate a first hash value that it stores in a distributed ledger and broadcasts to other HCI nodes in the HCI system. In response to a first modification performed on the first HCI node, the first HCI node uses its second HCI node data to generate a second hash value that it stores along with the first hash value in the distributed ledger, and broadcasts to the other HCI nodes in the HCI system. A management system may then determine that an issue exists in the HCI system and, in response, identify a cause of the issue based on the first hash value and the second hash value stored in the distributed ledger.
Configuring a generic computing device utilizing specific computing device operation information
A method for execution, when a generic computing device is paired with a specific computing device (SCD) token, begins with the SCD token sending distributed storage network (DSN) access request to DSN memory via the generic computing device, wherein the DSN access request identifies SCD operation information that is stored as one or more of sets of encoded data slices in the DSN memory and wherein the SCD operation information was encoded using a dispersed storage error encoding function to produce the plurality of sets of encoded data slices. Then, the SCD token receives the one or more of sets of encoded data slices from the DSN memory via the generic computing device and decodes the one or more of sets of encoded data slices to retrieve the SCD operation information and enables the generic computing device to function as an SCD in accordance with the SCD operation information.
Centralized device management system for monitoring and controlling various application specific network components across data centers
A centralized device management system for monitoring and controlling a device on granular object level in a plurality of datacenters is provided. The system includes a memory unit, a display unit, and a processor. The memory unit stores a database and a set of modules. The processor executes the set of modules. The set of modules includes a discover module, and a backup and restore module. The discover module is configured to discover a device to the device to the centralized device management system. The backup and restore module includes a backup module, a compare module, and a restore module. The backup module is configured to create backups for a configuration of the device. The compare module is configured to compare the backed up configuration with existing configuration of the device. The restore module is configured to restore the backed up configuration of the device.
Distributed data processing system
To coordinate distributed processing of the data files specified for the run by the set of analysis computers, the analysis computers and an analysis management computer are each configured to follow a convention regarding how the run is specified and performed. The convention includes the timing of when each run begins and ends, and the specification of the data files to be included in the run, and the identification of the analysis computers available for the run. The analysis management computer provides a mechanism through which the set of data files to be processed, and a state of processing of those files, can be communicated with available analysis computers. The analysis computers communicate their availability to participate in the run through the analysis management computer and receive information enabling each analysis computer to determine its own partitions of the set of data files to process.
Adjusting virtual machine migration plans based on alert conditions related to future migrations
Migration of virtual machines within a computing environment is facilitated. A processor obtains a current virtual machine to host mapping in the computing environment, as well as a plurality of future virtual machine to host mappings. A current migration plan to migrate from a current state of the computing environment to another state of the computing environment is also obtained. Based on the current virtual machine to host mapping and one or more future virtual machine to host mappings of the plurality of future virtual machine to host mappings a determination is made that one or more potential alert conditions exist in the current migration plan. The current migration plan and/or one or more future virtual machine to host mappings are displayed. The current migration plan is adjusted to address at least one potential alert condition of the one or more potential alert conditions to improve processing within the computing environment.
Providing backup and restore services to network attached appliances in a network
Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for providing backup and restore services to network attached appliances in a network. Configuration settings comprising configuration settings used in a network attached appliance are gathered and a unique identifier for the network attached appliance is determined. A backup request is generated including the configuration settings, the unique identifier, and a backup operation code. The backup request is broadcasted on the network to be received by the backup servers to store the configuration settings for the unique identifier.
Communication apparatus and wireless communication control method
An interface accesses a server for managing usage of a plurality of frequency resources allocated to a first wireless system and acquires information indicating the usage. Based on the acquired information, a control unit selects, amongst the frequency resources, a frequency resource to be used by a second wireless system. The control unit determines whether, after the information is acquired at a first time point, reacquisition of the information at a second time point is successful, which second time point is scheduled to reacquire the information from the server. If the reacquisition is unsuccessful, the control unit allows a frequency resource for the second wireless system to be selected based on the information acquired at the first time point even from the second time point onward.
Management apparatus, control method thereof, and storage medium
A management server is provided that manages a plurality of image forming apparatuses including an image forming apparatus compliant with a setting management function that enables an operation of security information, and an image forming apparatus non-compliant with the setting management function. The management server receives security information from the image forming apparatus, and determines whether the security information includes a change. When the image forming apparatus that is a transmission source of the security information including the change is non-compliant with the setting management function, the management server outputs a notice indicating that the security information including the change as a notice, whereas when the image forming apparatus is compliant with the setting management function, the management server outputs a notice indicating that the security information including the change as a warning.
