Handling dynamic command execution in hybrid cloud environments
Various embodiments disclosed herein are related to a non-transitory computer readable storage medium. In some embodiments, the medium includes instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to detect, on a cloud server, an indication to collect additional data from a cluster on an edge network coupled to the cloud server, send, to the cluster, a command to receive a command output, indicate, to the cluster, to send the command output as a type of data including at least one of raw data or parsed data, receive the command output in accordance with the command and the type of command output, and troubleshoot an issue of the cluster based on the command output.
Centralized platform management for computing environments
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable storage media, for centralized platform management for multiple environments. In some implementations, a management system obtains configuration information for each of multiple computing environments. The management system stores the configuration information for the multiple computing environments in a repository and monitors actions that change configurations of the multiple computing environments. The management system provides an interface configured to provide information about the configurations of the multiple computing environments and to adjust the configurations of the multiple computing environments in response to input received through the interface.
CONTINUOUS DELIVERY OF MANAGEMENT CONFIGURATIONS
Disclosed are various implementations of approaches for continuous delivery of management configurations. In some examples, a management configuration delivery workflow is retrieved from a source environment. The management configuration is transmitted to a destination environment specified in the management configuration delivery workflow. The destination environment us updated to apply the management configuration.
RECOMMENDATION ENGINE BASED ON CLASSIFICATION OF VIRTUALIZED WORKLOAD
Various embodiments disclosed herein are related to a non-transitory computer readable storage medium. In some embodiments, the medium includes instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to classify, on a cloud server, a plurality of clusters of an edge network based on one or more classification parameters, detect that a first cluster in a first datacenter of the edge network has an issue, determine a classification parameter value of the first cluster, determine that a second cluster in a second datacenter of the edge network has a second classification parameter value within a predetermined amount of the classification parameter value, and send an instruction to the second cluster to perform a remediation action.
CONFIGURATION ROLLBACK BASED ON THE FAILURE TO SATISFY PREDEFINED CONDITIONS
The present invention relates to a method for determining a configuration operable by a configurable electronic device. The device receives a second configuration and a predefined parameter. The device archives a first configuration in the non-transitory computer readable storage medium. The device applies the second configuration and then determine whether the predefined parameter is satisfied. When the predefined parameters are satisfied, the device maintains to apply the second configuration. When the predefined parameter is not satisfied, the device retrieves the first configuration and applies the first configuration.
Determining the status of a node based on a distributed system
A computing device configured for determining a node status is described. The computing device includes a processor and instructions in memory. The computing device determines a representative node corresponding to a network group with multiple nodes. The computing device also sends a status retrieval directive to the representative node. The status retrieval directive includes a directive for retrieval of the node status of a target node. The computing device also receives the node status of the target node from the representative node and stores the node status on a database.
RULES DRIVEN SOFTWARE DEPLOYMENT AGENT
The disclosed embodiments provide for rules-based deployment of software installations. In some aspects, operational parameters for a computer system are monitored over time to generate a historical database of values for the operational parameters. The computer system may include multiple instances of a software installation. A portion of the multiple instances is updated with a new version of software. The operational parameters are then monitored to quantify whether the new version results in an improvement or degradation of performance of the computer system. The improvement or degradation is based on comparing values of the operational parameters after deployment to their historical values. Depending on the evaluation of the operational parameters after the installation, the installation may be rolled back if a degradation is indicated. Otherwise, the new software version may be propagated to additional installation instances.
MICROSERVICES APPLICATION NETWORK CONTROL PLANE
Disclosed embodiments are directed at systems, methods, and architecture for operating a control plan of a microservices application. The control plane corresponds with data plane proxies associated with each of a plurality of APIs that make up the microservices application. The communication between the data plane proxies and the control plane enables automatic detection of service groups of APIs and automatic repair of application performance in real-time in response to degrading service node conditions.
Distributed backup and restoration in virtualized computing environments
Example methods and systems to perform a distributed backup operation or a distributed restoration operation in a virtualized computing environment including a plurality of components and a plurality of policies are disclosed. One method may include identifying a component or a policy of the plurality of components or policies in response to receiving a first task associated with the distributed backup operation or the distributed restoration operation. In response to the first task associated with the distributed backup operation, the method include generating a backup file having a configuration of the component, but not any configuration of other components of the plurality of components, or a configuration of the policy, but not any configuration of other policies of the plurality of policies; and storing the backup file on a remote server.
