Method and system for handling service requests

A system and a method for facilitating a processing of a service request is provided. The method includes: accessing a plurality of previously received service requests; receiving a first new service request; determining a handling protocol for the first new service request; adding the received first new service request to the plurality of previously received service requests to generate an updated list of open service requests; and displaying a listing of a least a subset of the updated list of open service requests. The handling protocol includes a priority ranking of the first new service request and an identification of a proposed technician for resolving the corresponding problem. The determination of the handling protocol is performed by assigning weights to each of a set of predefined parameters and algorithmically combining the assigned weights to obtain an overall priority score.

A slice manager associated with a network access point of a telecommunication network can manage combinations of network slices and bandwidth parts for user equipment (UE). The bandwidth parts can have independently set numerologies, such as subcarrier spacing values. The UE can be configured to use one or more active bandwidth parts at a time, such that the slice manager can instruct the UE to use multiple active bandwidth parts simultaneously with respect to the same network slice or multiple network slices.

PARALLEL SERVICE INVOCATION IN A NETWORK

Techniques and mechanisms for managing a set of data network nodes in a Network Management System (NMS). In some examples, a network orchestrator receives a first service request to trigger a first service transaction to re-configure the set of data nodes in the data network, and trigger, the first service transaction to re-configure the set of data nodes. In some examples, the network orchestrator receives a second service request to trigger a second service transaction to re-configure the set of data nodes. The orchestrator determines whether the second service transaction conflicts with the first service transaction that is currently running. If the second service transaction does not conflict with the first service, it triggers processing the second service. If the second service transaction does conflict with the first service transaction, it delays from processing the second service transaction.

Method and apparatus for adjusting network flow

A method and apparatus for adjusting network flow are provided. An embodiment of the method may include: in response to the server meeting a network flow adjustment condition, acquiring network flow-related information of the server; determining network flow adjustment operations based on the network flow-related information, wherein the network flow adjustment operations indicate to determine at least one level of downlink flow from a plurality of levels of downlink flows according to an ascending order of the plurality of levels of downlink flows, to perform network flow downregulation on the determined at least one level of downlink flow, the at least one level not comprising a highest level in the plurality of levels, and in any two levels of downlink flows, a value of a downlink flow of a higher level being greater than a value of a downlink flow of a lower lever; and performing, according to a sequential order of operations in the network flow adjustment operations, at least one operation in the network flow adjustment operations.

Detecting network anomalies for robust segments of network infrastructure items in accordance with segment filters associated via frequent itemset mining

A processing system may generate segments of network infrastructure items deployed in a communication network, each segment comprising network infrastructure items grouped in accordance with segment filters and a segment size sparsity threshold, and identify anomalous segments comprising at least a subset of the segments having anomalies of an anomaly type regarding a performance indicator. The processing system may next determine segments from the subset that are defined by sets of segment filter values that are different for less than a threshold number of segment filters, merge the segments from the subset that are different for less than the threshold number to create at least one aggregate segment, and generate a ranking of the subset having the anomalies of the anomaly type, wherein the ranking includes the at least one aggregate segment. The processing system may then perform at least one action in the communication network responsive to the ranking.

The present application provides a channel type used to support user QoE expectations, which is, in particular, a QoS and QoE guaranteed channel (QQGC). Also provided is a related method and system for providing a QQGC. Effective bit rate (EBR), average bit rate, and maximum bit rate, are determined and used to support the channel. The EBR can be determined based on QoE reports. An application function, such as a network data analytics function provides the indication of effective bit rate. One or more portions of the application function can be provided in potentially different locations of a communications network and operatively coupled. Alternatively, application function portions can be co-located. The EBR is provided to and used by devices in the network to reserve user plane resources to support data flows at the EBR. The EBR can also be used for admission or rejection of requests for a QQGC channel.
