Data transmission method and data transmission system
A data transmission method for a data transmission system including a host and a peripheral device is disclosed, including: setting at least one identification number to at least one packet stored in the host; transmitting the at least one packet from the host to the peripheral device; allocating the at least one packet to plural temporary blocks of a memory of the peripheral device corresponding to the at least one identification number according to the at least one identification number of the at least one packet. Each of the temporary blocks includes a threshold value, and the threshold value of each of at least two of the temporary blocks are different; and transmitting part of the at least one packet stored in one of the temporary blocks when the one of the temporary blocks reaches the threshold value of the one of the temporary blocks.

Apparatus and method for using multiple multi-drop buses
Apparatuses, methods and storage media associated with multiple multi-drop buses in a switch are provided herein. In some embodiments, the switch may include a multi-drop row bus to transmit a plurality of frames in a row dimension of the matrix switch and a multi-drop column bus to transmit the plurality of frames in a column dimension of the matrix switch. The switch may further include an input port to receive the plurality of frames and an output port to output the plurality of frames from the matrix switch. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Dynamic protection of shared memory used by output queues in a network device
A network switch includes a buffer to store network packets linked to queues to feed the packets to output ports of the switch associated with the queues. The buffer is shared dynamically among multiple traffic pools. The network switch determines per-pool dynamic thresholds each based on an amount of unused buffer space, and per-queue dynamic thresholds based on amounts of unused buffer space available in the pools with which the queues are associated. The network switch receives packets, and for each received packet, the network switch admits the packet to the pool with which the packet is associated and the queue for which the packet is destined if (i) occupancy of the associated pool is less than the corresponding per-pool dynamic threshold, and (ii) occupancy of the queue for which the packet is destined is less than the corresponding per-queue dynamic threshold, and otherwise drops the packet.
RDMA Data Transmission System, RDMA Data Transmission Method, and Network Device
A remote direct memory access (RDMA) data transmission system includes a first network device in a first host and a second network device in a second host. The first network device may create a shared send queue (SSQ) used by a plurality of processes run by the first host, obtain an RDMA data transmission message of a first process from the SSQ, and encapsulate a first identifier corresponding to the first process into a first packet in which the RDMA data transmission message is encapsulated. The second network device is configured to encapsulate the first identifier into a second packet in which a feedback message is encapsulated.
