Stateful IGMP fastleave
Methods, systems, and computer readable media described herein can be operable to facilitate an IGMP fastleave using a listener reference count. A gateway proxy saves each listener for every specific multicast group, thus the gateway knows if a listener is the last one in the group when it receives a leave report from a listener. The gateway leaves the group immediately without sending specific query if the leave report comes from the last listener of the current group, thereby significantly reducing the leave latency. Otherwise, the standard procedure wins, and the gateway sends out a specific query when the leave report is not from the last listener.
System and method for enabling call originations using SMS and hotline capabilities
A method for handling call originations is provided. The method includes sending origination information from a mobile device to an application server in an enterprise network using Short Message Service (SMS) and determining whether a hotline feature is present in a subscriber profile associated with the mobile device. Data is then routed from the mobile device to a predetermined destination based on the hotline feature.
SECONDARY AUTHENTICATION FOR WWAN VPN
Systems and methods of providing secondary authentication credentials for an external network are described. The credentials are provided from the UE to the GGSN via the SGSN during establishment of a PDN connection for the UE in a NAS message. The SGSN receives an Activate PDP Context Request from the UE and sends to the GGSN a Create PDP Context Request. The Requests include a PCO IE with the credentials. The GGSN determines a RADIUS and/or DHCP server to be used for IP address allocation, a protocol to be used with the server, and security features to use to dialogue with the server. The GGSN obtains the IP address from the server and provides the IP address to the UE via the SGSN via Create PDP Context Response.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENABLING USE OF A SINGLE USER IDENTIFIER ACROSS INCOMPATIBLE NETWORKS FOR UCC FUNCTIONALITY
A method and system for supporting a cross-domain communication session between communication platforms using a bridge server are provided. In one example, the method includes registering the bridge server with multiple platforms using a user identifier. A request is received from one of the platforms to establish a communication session with a user corresponding to the user identifier. A communication leg is created for each of the platforms. The leg from which the request was received is an incoming leg and the other legs are outgoing legs. The request is sent over the outgoing legs. An acceptance is received from one of the outgoing legs. A cancel message is sent over the outgoing legs from which the acceptance was not received. The acceptance is sent over the incoming leg. The incoming leg and the outgoing leg from which the acceptance was received are bridged to establish the session.
Device, System, and Process for Wireless Call Hunting
A configuration to provide wireless call hunting includes a system configured to receive an incoming call to a wireless number, the system further configured to implement a plurality of lines that are associated with the wireless number, the system further configured to determine if one or more of the plurality of lines of the wireless number are busy, and the system further configured to determine if one or more of the plurality of lines of the wireless number are available. The system further configured to prevent connecting to one or more of the plurality of lines of the wireless number that are busy, and the system further configured to connect to one of the plurality of lines of the wireless number that is not busy, where the system includes one of the following: a soft switch and mobile telephone switching office. A process is disclosed as well.
Multi-cell coordination for multimedia broadcast multicast services in a wireless communication system
The present invention is related to a method and system for multi-cell coordination for multimedia broadcast multicast services (MBMS) in a wireless communication system. An MBMS multi-cell coordination unit is provided to coordinate a plurality of evolved Node-Bs (eNodeBs) for transmission of MBMS data synchronously in multiple cells of the same single frequency network (SFN). The MBMS multi-cell coordination unit may be located in an access gateway or in an eNodeB. An MBMS multi-cell scheduling scheme may be preconfigured for the eNodeBs for synchronization. Alternatively, the eNodeBs may be synchronized dynamically.
Gateway device, system, and communication method
A gateway device includes a communication unit communicating a frame signal conforming to an IuUP (Iu User Plane) protocol with a wireless base station controller connected to a circuit switching network; a determination unit determining whether the frame signal received by the communication unit satisfies a predetermined condition or not; a conversion unit converting information included in the frame signal to information to be set in a flow control signal of an IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) when the frame signal satisfies the predetermined condition; and a flow control signal transmission unit transmitting the flow control signal to a communication device in the IMS.
Ethernet AVB for time-sensitive networks
Embodiments are disclosed for a device for handling communications from AVB and non-AVB networks. In some embodiments, a device includes a gateway interface communicatively connectable to one or more devices and configured to transmit and receive data from an AVB network and at least one other, non-AVB network, a processor, and a storage device that stores instructions executable by the processor to receive first data from a first device in the at least one other network, and receive second data from a second device in the AVB network. The instructions are further executable to process one or more of the first data and the second data according to one or more of an AVB protocol and a protocol associated with the at least one other network, and transmit one or more commands to one or more of the first device and the second device.
Systems and methods for storing digital content
An overlay content distribution network provides a consistent interface to enable the storage and retrieval of digital content at multiple storage providers (210). An allocator component (140) instantiates and destroys location and/or provider specific agent processes (240) which transfer digital content to and from the storage providers (210). Encoding agent processes (250) are geographically located near the storage providers (210) at which the content is to be stored. Content may be stored in a manner which guarantees content availability, each storage provider (210) being periodically probed by a Quality of Service (QoS) probes distributed within the network.
Communications adaptor for use with internet telephony system
A communications adaptor comprising an adaptor first port; an adaptor second port; an adaptor third port; and a processor. The adaptor first port is configured to connect to an analog communications line. The adaptor second port is configured to connect to a data network. The adaptor third port is configured to connect to an analog telephony device. The processor is configured to determine that a first call setup request signal has been received at the adaptor first port. The processor is further configured, subsequent to such determination: (1) to transmit a second call setup request signal over the adaptor second port to an Internet Protocol (IP) telephony system over the data network; and (2) to transmit a third call setup request signal over the adaptor third port.
