SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RULE-BASED USER CONTROL OF AUDIO RENDERING

A sound processing system includes a sound input device for providing a sound input, a sound output device for providing a sound output, and processing electronics including a processor and a memory, wherein the processing electronics is configured to receive a target sound input identifying a target sound, receive a rule input establishing a sound processing rule that references the target sound, receive a sound input from the sound input device, analyze the sound input for the target sound, process the sound input according to the sound processing rule in view of the analysis of the sound input, and provide a processed sound output to the sound output device.

Method for registering at least one public address in an IMS network, and corresponding application

The invention relates, in particular, to a method for registering at least one public address in an IMS network including a terminal that interacts with a security element. According to the invention, the security element includes an application that invites the user of the terminal, upon the occurrence of an event, to enter a public address, selected by the user, via the man/machine interface of the terminal, the application transmitting the public address, accompanied by at least one identifier of the security element, to a remote network via the terminal such that the remote network associates the public address with the identifier.

Using secondary channel information to provide for gateway recording

Systems and methods for using secondary communication channel information, such as RTCP information to facilitate correlating business information to allow gateway recording. Using information in this secondary communication channel the recording system can correlate the business metadata either directly (e.g., using a phone extension) or through one or more indirect operations (e.g., a call ID-to-universal call id-to-phone extension). Additionally, information in the primary communication channel may be used to perform an indirect operation to correlate auxiliary business information (e.g., using the CALLID or UCID in SIP signaling to resolve the agent's phone extension and thereby access auxiliary business information.)

Use of alternate VoIP call-placement service in response to IMS processing failure

A method and system for responding to a processing failure of an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). An example method includes a computing system detecting the processing failure of the IMS and responsively causing one or more user equipment devices (UEs) to forgo using the IMS for voice over IP (VoIP) call placement and to instead use an alternate VoIP calling service for VoIP call placement. For instance, a given UE may be configured by default to use the IMS for VoIP call placement, but the UE may detect an IMS processing failure and may responsively instead make a next VoIP call placement attempt using an alternate VoIP calling service, such as a third party VoIP calling application running on the UE.

System for transiting emergency communications

Described are techniques for determining an emergency event and associating label data with emergency communications to ensure that the emergency communications are provided with a greater quality and priority than non-emergency communications. When a quantity of communications associated with a network exceeds a threshold value, policy data may be generated and provided to network devices. The policy data may be configured to cause the network devices to transit communications associated with label data with high quality and connectivity. Correspondence between communications from the network and stored values indicative of emergency communications may be used to determine emergency communications from other data. Label data may be associated with the determined emergency communications to cause network devices to transit the communications in the manner indicated by the policy data.

CALL FLOW SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE IN A LEGACY TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method of operating a network server, such as a mobile application gateway, connect devices on a cellular or carrier network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network, such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise.

Device, software module, system or business method for global real-time telecommunication

A telecommunication device for real-time communication at a border between a global transport network and a private domain of a communication network may include a proxy for a communication protocol, means for traffic using real-time communication protocols to traverse a firewall, means for real-time traffic initiated by the communication protocol to traverse a firewall, means for measuring and collecting value information about the real-time traffic over the global transport network, means for creating mutual trust between the telecommunication device and a second device with which it communicates; and means for authorizing usage of a feature for a mutually trusted communication participant.

Method and device for supporting voice service in wireless communication system

A method for supporting a voice service of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system; and a Mobility Management Entity (MME) apparatus therefore. The method according to one embodiment includes transmitting an update location request (ULR) message to a home subscriber server (HSS); and transmitting a Notify Request message including a single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) capability, when the MME determines that the SRVCC capability is changed. If the MME knows a homogeneity of support of an IMS voice over PS session in all TAs (Tracking areas) or all RAs (Routing Areas) related to the MME, the ULR message includes an information element. If the MME fails to know the homogeneity of support of the IMS voice over PS session due to a lack of information including Voice over IMS related capability information of the UE, the ULR message does not include the information element.

Selecting refresh periods in an IP network
09800626 · 2017-10-24 · ·

A registration server in an IP network is provided. The server is configured to act, after receiving a request for an initial registration or for refreshing a registration with the IP network, or for an initial subscription or for refreshing a subscription to a given service made available on the IP network, to select for the client device sending the request a value for the corresponding refresh period. The server is also configured to select the value as a function, at least, of the type of authentication used by the client device for authenticating itself with the IP network.

Systems and methods for implementing bearer call-back services

The present disclosure is directed at systems, methods and media for providing bearer call-back services for bearers that have been rejected or pre-empted by a network apparatus in a core network. In some embodiments, if a network apparatus enters a state in which it becomes necessary to reject or pre-empt a bearer associated with a user equipment (UE) (e.g., due to load conditions in a radio access network, the core network, or an application server), the network apparatus can send to the UE a call-back message when the network apparatus exits the state that precipitated the bearer rejection or pre-emption. By sending a call-back message, the network apparatus can save the UE from multiple unsuccessful attempts to establish a bearer, or from waiting an unnecessarily long time before establishing a bearer.
