An example system for a vehicle includes a central unit and an input device, wherein the central unit has a first interface for connecting to a first mobile device and a second interface for connecting to a second mobile device, wherein the central unit is configured to assign the first mobile device to a driver and the second mobile device to a passenger in the vehicle, wherein the central unit is configured to output information on a call directed to the first mobile device, wherein the central unit is configured to detect an input by means of the input device during the outputting of information, and wherein the central unit is configured, based on the detection of the input, to redirect the call to the second mobile device.
Vehicle media player
A vehicle media player includes a media player module, a microphone module electrically connected to the media player module, a cigarette lighter connector; and a connection cable having two opposite ends that are electrically connected to the media player module and the cigarette lighter connector, respectively. The microphone module includes a first casing, a second casing, a unidirectional microphone, a protective housing, and a microphone support. The unidirectional microphone is fixed to the microphone support, and one end of each of the first casing and the second casing is received in one end of the protective housing.
ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING WIRELESS COMMUNICATION WHILE DRIVING
A system, apparatus, and method for preventing wireless communication while driving is presented. The system including a text prevention device configured to be installed in a vehicle and detect mobile computing devices within the vehicle. The text prevention device is further configured to establish a connection with detected mobile computing devices and serve as a proxy device to receive signal transmissions transmitted from and received by the mobile computing devices preventing the mobile computing devices within the vehicle from distracting the driver during operation of the vehicle.
Modular customizable ruggedized protective case for mobile device
A modular ruggedized protective case for a mobile communications device is disclosed. In embodiments, the protective case includes a flexible (e.g., rubberized) primary housing partially enclosing the mobile device and itself partially surrounded or enclosed by a rigid secondary housing. The secondary housing includes port protectors for concealing or shielding connector ports (e.g., USB, HDMI, AC, other like power/data inputs) of the mobile device. The protective case includes an adapter for a type cover keyboard, e.g., capable of partially covering the display surface of the mobile device when closed and serving as a keyboard or other input device when opened; the type cover adapter attached to a connection port and provides for transmission of control input from the type cover to the mobile device when the mobile device is enclosed in the protective case.
SCHEDULING FOR FOCUS TIMES WITHOUT DISTRACTION
A communication device comprising: one or more processors and one or more memories supporting communication, the device comprising a plurality of modes, including at least a normal mode and at least one focused mode, wherein the normal mode is distinct from the focused mode, and wherein, when the device is in the focused mode one or more features of the device are at least partially disabled, and wherein the one or more features of the device that are at least partially disabled in the focused mode include one or more features relating to communication supported by the device, wherein the device is configured to: support a user interface (UI) for setting one or more focused time periods, and wherein the device is further configured to switch to the at least one focused mode during the focused time periods.
END-FIRE ARRAY MICROPHONE ARRANGEMENTS INSIDE A VEHICLE
The present application discloses exemplary arrangements of an end-fire microphone array inside a vehicle and exemplary digital signal processors configured for the end-fire in-car microphone array. The exemplary digital signal processors may be configured in two modes, a phone call mode and an automatic speech recognition mode. In each mode, the exemplary digital signal processors are improved for enhanced SNR. Different end-fire microphone array arrangements are also disclosed.
Smartphone holding assembly
A smartphone holding assembly for supporting a personal electronic device in a vehicle includes a drawer that is slidably integrated into a dashboard of a vehicle. A base is coupled to the drawer, a disk is rotatably coupled to the base and the disk is exposed when the drawer is positioned in the extended position. A stand is movably coupled to the disk. The stand is positionable in a deployed position to support a personal electronic device at a preferred angle for viewing during driving. A wireless charger is integrated into the base for charging the personal electronic device. The wireless charger is in electrical communication with a power source comprising the electrical system of the vehicle.
Method and system for logging vehicle behaviour
A mobile telecommunications device configured to log driving information associated with a vehicle is described. The mobile telecommunications device comprises: a sensor set comprising an image sensor and at least one of an audio sensor, an accelerometer or a positioning module, or a combination thereof; a user interface; a processor; and a memory. The mobile telecommunications device is configured to: determine, based on the inputs received by the user interface and sensor data from the device's sensor set, a start of a driving period during which the mobile device is removably affixed to the vehicle and the vehicle is in use, wherein the start of the driving period is determined without data from sensors of the vehicle; process the sensor data from the sensor set during the driving period to derive driving information associated with how the vehicle is driven; and store a selection of the driving information to the memory. The driving information comprises images captured by the image sensor and the mobile telecommunications device is controlled by a downloaded application to process the captured images to make a safety determination for the vehicle and in response to making an unsafe determination for the vehicle, to issue an alert signal.
Mobile Device Communication Access and Hands-Free Device Activiation
Apparatuses, systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for analyzing an incoming telephonic event (e.g., call, message, and/or notification) to a mobile device during operation of a vehicle in relation to a combination of factors to determine if the incoming telephonic event is to be allowed to be received during vehicle operation. The mobile device may receive the incoming telephonic event during operation of the vehicle. An incoming telephonic event analysis application operating on the mobile device may apply a soft block preventing the incoming telephonic event from being displayed on the mobile device. Based on the incoming telephonic event data, vehicle operational data, user preferences, hands-free device activation, and driver and road ratings, the incoming telephonic event analysis application may determine whether or not to maintain the soft block or allow the incoming telephonic event to be displayed on the mobile device during operation of the vehicle.
