Managing Telephone Based Channel Communication In A Group-Based Communication System
20210029245 · 2021-01-28 · ·

Techniques for facilitating messaging in a group-based communication system between a calling device and one or more client devices. A first user operating a calling device may send a request to a call server computing device to send a call-based communication via the group-based communication system. The call-based communication may include voice or textual data. The call server computing device may receive the call-based communication and may format the call-based communication to send to the group-based communication system. The call server may send the formatted call-based communication to the group-based communication system for presentation via the one or more client devices.

Methods and systems for a communications and information resource manager

Methods and systems are disclosed for managing the communications and information resources of a user. Identity information relating to the user is received. The user's preference for withholding an incoming communication is obtained. An entry is created in a message log for the withheld communication. The user is not notified of receipt of the withheld communication, yet receipt of the withheld communication is logged in the message log.

Scheduling communication system and method

A scheduling communication system and method are disclosed. The system comprises a gateway comprising a telephony interface, a data repository; and, a scheduling interface. The gateway stores, in the data repository, a registration for a user associated with a booking, the registration including a telephone number for the user. Upon receiving a data communication at the scheduling interface on the booking, the gateway triggers a telephone call via the telephony interface to the user's telephone number and outputs verbal information on the booking. Upon receiving an input from a user during a call from the telephone number via the telephony interface, the gateway generates a data communication on the input and communicate the data communication on the input via the scheduling interface.

TELECOMMUNICATION AND MULTIMEDIA MANAGEMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS

A telecommunication and multimedia management apparatus and method that supports voice and other media communications and that enables users to: (i) participate in multiple conversation modes, including live phone calls, conference calls, instant voice messaging or tactical communications; (ii) review the messages of conversations in either a live mode or a time-shifted mode and to seamlessly transition back and forth between the two modes; (iii) participate in multiple conversations either concurrently or simultaneously; (iv) archive the messages of conversations for later review or processing; and (v) persistently store media either created or received on the communication devices of users. The latter feature enables users to generate or review media when either disconnected from the network or network conditions are poor and to optimize the delivery of media over the network based on network conditions and the intention of the users participating in conversations.

Systems and methods for automatically providing an individualized voice message to a specific individual who attempts to initiate a voice call with a user during a period of unavailability are provided. A processor may receive, from a first telecommunications device associated with a first Mobile Station (MS), an individualized voice message for a second telecommunications device associated with a second MS via a telecommunications network. The processor may further receive an indication that the second telecommunications device is attempting to initiate a voice call with the first telecommunications device. The processor may determine that a first user associated with the first telecommunications device is not available, and may transmit the individualized voice message to the second telecommunications device.

Communication management system, communication system, communication control method, and recording medium

A communication management system, a communication system, a communication control method, and a recording medium. The communication management system manages sharing of data between a plurality of communication terminals and transmits storage location information indicating a storage location of image data, the storage location information to be received by a first communication terminal of the plurality of communication terminals, receives a notice indicating a start of uploading of the image data to the storage location indicated by the storage location information, the notice transmitted by the first communication terminal, transmits the notice indicating the start of uploading of the image data, the notice to be received by a second communication terminal of the plurality of communication terminals, receives stroke data for reproducing a stroke image, the stroke data transmitted by the first communication terminal, and transmits the stroke data, the stroked data to be received by the second communication terminal.

Multi-channel topic orchestrator

People provide content such as a recorded text or audio on various platforms, such as recorded telephone lines, social media, or web chats. The techniques described in this patent document can be used to obtain a set of topics that characterize the words in the recorded text or audio for each platform. By identifying topics being discussed on several platforms and by correlating topics between the platforms, a multi-channel topic orchestration server can generate a timeline that shows when the topic appeared on the various platforms.
