Image forming device, image reading device, non-transitory recording medium storing computer-readable program, image forming method, and image processing device
An image forming device includes: an image forming unit that forms an image on a transfer medium; and a controller that controls multiple image readers capable of performing image reading for the same surface of the transfer medium, and acquires reading results from the image readers. The controller is capable of performing failure/no-failure determination for the image on the transfer medium based on the reading results, of switching image reading by the multiple image readers between reading by a first number of image readers and reading by a second number of image readers, the second number being smaller than the first number, and of enabling, while the second number of image readers perform reading, at least one of the other image readers to execute a maintenance operation for the at least one of the other image readers.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS WITH DETECTION OF ABNORMAL PIXELS
An original image is read as an aggregate of a plurality of pixels in which adjacent pixels have different colors (R, G, and B) in a main scanning direction and in a sub-scanning direction, and the read pixels of the respective colors are stored in a line memory in association with information on relative positions of the pixels with respect to another pixel. Then, the stored pixels are sorted so that pixels having the same color are adjacent to each other, and an abnormal pixel (dust) not present in the original image is detected based on the state of the sorted pixels. With this, the dust not present in the original image is detected without increasing the cost, and the dust is corrected without forming a conspicuous trace of correction.
Control apparatus detects an error in image processor and reboots the image processor before transmits printing data to printing apparatus
An information processing apparatus that is capable of resuming an interrupted process without applying the time and effort more than needed to a user. A data transmission unit transmits execution data to a process execution apparatus. A detection unit detects an abnormal state of the information processing apparatus. A reboot unit reboots the information processing apparatus. An obtaining unit obtains an execution condition of the execution data by the process execution apparatus. The reboot unit reboots the information processing apparatus when the detection unit detects the abnormal state of the information processing apparatus. The transmission unit transmits the execution data to the process execution apparatus based on the execution condition obtained by the obtaining unit when the information processing apparatus was rebooted.
Maintenance system, maintenance server, and maintenance method
A maintenance system includes a plurality of apparatuses and a maintenance server. Each apparatus: transmits log data indicating a state of the apparatus to the maintenance server; receives a prediction model from the maintenance server, the prediction model predicting the occurrence of an abnormal state of the plurality of apparatuses; determines whether the abnormal state of the apparatus occurs based on the prediction model to generate a determination result; and transmits the determination result indicating the occurrence of the abnormal state of the apparatus to the maintenance server. The maintenance server: generates the prediction model based on the log data received from each of the plurality of apparatuses; and issues an instruction of a maintenance work for one or more of the plurality of apparatuses that transmit the determination result.
Image forming apparatus determining failure when reactivated before preparing a printing operation
An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of parts each configured to operate to form an image; and at least one processor configured to control an operation of the image forming apparatus. The at least one processor has a function of executing the following processing: error detection processing of detecting occurrence of an error of each part; failure portion identification processing of identifying a failure portion which is a cause of the error; and determination processing of determining, in a case where the image forming apparatus is reactivated after the identification of the failure portion by the failure portion identification processing, whether there is a failure in a part corresponding to the failure portion information before execution of a preparation operation for enabling an image forming operation.
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for batch print voiding
Various methods and systems for a printer having verifiers are disclosed herein. Such methods provide for voiding a printed media in a batch printing run. The methods further correspond to identifying the printed media that is printed as part of the batch printing run as a failed media in an instance an assigned grade fails to satisfy a predetermined threshold, marking the printed media as a failed printed media, determining one or more subsequently printed media that were printed after the failed printed media, and reprinting the printed failed media in a next available media after the one or more subsequently printed media.
Information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium for acquiring and storing additional processing program
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to acquire an additional processing program for performing additional processing in response to a connection of an additional processing apparatus configured to perform the additional processing for a function of the information processing apparatus, and store the acquired additional processing program in the information processing apparatus.
PIPE CONNECTION DECISION DEVICE THAT DETECTS WRONG PIPE CONNECTION, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A pipe connection decision device includes a first material including a plurality of first pipes each having a connector receiver attached to one end, a second material including a plurality of second pipes each having a connector attached to one end, a plurality of light emitters respectively provided on the plurality of connector receivers, a plurality of light receivers respectively provided on the plurality of connectors, a storage device, a display device, and a control device. The control device causes the display device, upon deciding that the color of received light accords with an allocated color, with respect to all of the plurality of light receivers, to display a first message, and causes the display device, upon deciding that the color of received light discords with the allocated color, with respect to at least one of the plurality of light receivers, to display a second message.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus prints an image on a sheet. The image forming apparatus includes a casing, a plurality of open/close devices, a plurality of fans, and a control device. The casing includes a plurality of openings and a plurality of ventilation holes. The plurality of open/close devices are attached to the casing, and configured to open and close the respectively corresponding openings. The plurality of fans each generate an airflow from inside of the casing to a corresponding one of the plurality of ventilation holes. The control device controls operation of the plurality of fans. The control device also detects occurrence of an event that restricts execution of the printing, identifies a type of the event, selects at least one of the plurality of fans according to the type of the event, and drives the selected fan.
