A portable terminal comprises: a reading unit that reads the displayed access code; an access unit that obtains information indicating an upload destination of the scanned file based on the reading and, using the obtained information, accesses the upload destination; and a download unit that downloads the scanned tile from the upload destination. The information indicating the upload destination of the scanned file includes authentication information related to an access of the upload destination of the scanned file.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: select an object which is a transmission candidate using (i) attributes of objects managed in a project including plural processes and (ii) an attribute of a user who instructs an operation relating to transmission of an object, generate, for the object which is the transmission candidate, image information obtained by imaging transmission information used for the transmission of the object, and output the generated image information.

A first processing module receives image data transferred from a controller, and executes image processing and a second processing module receives the image data transferred from the controller via the first processing module and executes image processing on the image data. The controller determines color components, of the plurality of color components of the image data, to be processed by the first processing module and the second processing module, based on at least communication amounts produced between the first processing module and the second processing module. Processed data having undergone the image processing performed by the first processing module based on the determined color components is transferred to the controller, and processed data having undergone the image processing performed by the second processing module based on the determined color components is transferred to the controller via the first processing module.

An image processing apparatus connected to an external user terminal includes a scanner unit that optically reads an original to acquire a scanned image, an information acquisition unit that acquires user information, an image storing unit that stores the scanned image in association with the user information, a type acquisition unit that acquires an image conversion type, which indicates a desired converted image type, from the external user terminal, and an image conversion unit that, in response to acquiring the image conversion type, reads out a scanned image from the image storing unit based on the user information and converts the read-out scanned image into an image of the acquired image conversion type.

Cloud-based document management systems are disclosed that provide a direct link between a scanner and cloud storage. In embodiments, a document management system provides a web scanning application that is executable in a web browser. The application can initiate a scan from a scanner in communication with the web browser that is transmitted directly to a remote cloud storage location and indexed by the document management system without requiring storing a copy of the document local to the web browser. Other embodiments allow printing from the web browser directly to the document management system and remote cloud storage. In another aspect, a receipt printer buffer is provided that can provide electronic receipts that may be directly uploaded to the cloud--based document management system.

The target image forming device is specified by the device information correlated by the correlation information.

The system also includes a server that stores data transferred from the information processing apparatus, and controls transferring data to the information processing apparatus based on a request for transferring data received from the information processing apparatus.
