An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to receive, from a first user, a change instruction to change a setting content of a shared operation element, the shared operation element being an operation element configured to process data and shared by plural users including the first user and a second user different from the first user, and, in a case where the second user uses the shared operation element after receiving the change instruction from the first user, notify the second user of a changed setting content of the shared operation element.

An image processing apparatus includes a providing unit configured to provide, to a second user given an authority of tenant administrator from a first user having an authority of shared office administrator, a function of designating an allowable number of print sheets with respect to a tenant to which the second user belongs or a third user who belongs to the tenant to which the second user belongs, wherein, in a case where the third user, when authenticated, uses a print processing function, the third user is allowed to use the print processing function up to an allowable number of print sheets designated by the second user, who is a tenant administrator of the tenant to which the third user belongs.

Provided is an image forming device capable of managing a printing result of a specific content as a use history of a user designated in advance. According to embodiments, an image forming device includes a printer, a memory, and a processor. The printer forms an image on a medium. The memory stores information indicating a designated user with respect to a specific content as a printing person to print the specific content. When printing of a specific content for which a designated user as a printing person is stored in the memory in correspondence is requested, the processor controls printing of the specific content by the printer with the designated user as the printing person.

A printing device is implemented to activate a hidden function by inputting tap sequences on a tap screen. The hidden function includes displaying an icon of a title of a secret document on a display screen without showing the content of the secret document. A method for activating the hidden function using tap sequences is also disclosed. The method compares the input tap sequences with a plurality sets of predetermined codes, each of which corresponds to a hidden function. When the input tap sequences match one set of predetermined codes, the method activates and executes the hidden function. By executing the hidden function, the secret document is printed. The tap sequences are tapping actions that do not generate tangible symbols that are reviewable on the tap screen. By doing so, the confidential document is further protected.

A service providing system includes a device; and an information processing system. The information processing system stores each user of the information processing system and each user of an external service system in association with each other. The device accepts a specification of a first application and a user of the information processing system; acquires data for which a user of the external service system, associated with the user of the information processing system, has an authority, among data relating to the first application included in the external service system; displays a screen to accept a selection of one piece of data from the acquired data; accepts the one piece of data for which the selection is accepted via the screen; and requests the external service system to store information acquired by the device in association with the accepted one piece of data.

The information processing system stores each user of the information processing system and each user of an external service system in association with each other. The device accepts a specification of a first application and a user of the information processing system; acquires data for which a user of the external service system, associated with the user of the information processing system, has an authority, among data relating to the first application included in the external service system; displays a screen to accept a selection of one piece of data from the acquired data; accepts the one piece of data for which the selection is accepted via the screen; and requests the external service system to store information acquired by the device in association with the accepted one piece of data.
