The medium receiving section also serves as a support tray that supports the document to be inserted into the document movement path or the document exiting from the document movement path.
DOCUMENT FEEDING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A document feeding device 10 of an image forming apparatus 1 includes a housing 14 that houses a document conveyance mechanism 15, and a document set tray 16. An upper cover 12 of the housing 14 is openable and closable with respect to a fixed cover 11, and the document set tray 16 is swingably supported. A closed position of the upper cover 12 with respect to the fixed cover 11 is set to a position overlapping with a movement trajectory M of the document set tray 16 during a swinging operation, and it is possible to open the upper cover 12 in connection with the swinging operation of the document set tray 16.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus, including: a hinge configured to support an original conveying unit pivotably relative to an image reading unit; a swing pedestal configured to support the hinge; a swing axis configured to support the swing pedestal swingably relative to the image reading unit; and a first abutment portion and a second abutment portion configured to abut the image reading unit so as to form a space between the image reading unit and the original conveying unit, wherein the first abutment portion that is in a state not in contact with the image reading unit can be brought into contact with the image reading unit by the swing pedestal swinging about a swing axis in a state in which the second abutment portion is in contact with the image reading unit.
Multi-function apparatus
A multi-function apparatus employs an in-body sheet discharge type configuration. The image forming device includes a front door and a multi-purpose tray. The front door is movable between a closed position set along a side surface at one side of a case of the image forming device and an opened position opened at the one side with respect to the side surface. The front door has an opening formed therein. The multi-purpose tray is provided to be selectively located at a non-use state at which the multi-purpose tray closes the opening and an in-use position at which the multi-purpose tray opens the opening. When the front door is located at the closed position and the multi-purpose tray is located at the non-use position, an upper end surface of the multi-purpose tray is exposed upward.
SHEET DISCHARGING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet discharging apparatus includes a discharge unit and a stacking portion. The stacking portion includes a first supporting portion including a first part and a second part provided with an interval therebetween in a width direction of the sheets, and configured to support a first sheet having a width larger than the interval between the first part and the second part, and a second supporting portion provided at a position between the first part and the second part in the width direction and below the first supporting portion in a gravity direction, and configured to support a second sheet having a width smaller than the interval. The second supporting portion includes a recess portion where the second supporting portion is recessed in the gravity direction to be lower than a height at which the second supporting portion comes into contact with a lower surface of the second sheet.
DOCUMENT FEEDER USING SINGLE MOTOR AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
An image reading apparatus includes an image sensor, a document feeder, and a processor. The document feeder includes a first driving device, a second driving device, a third driving device, a first sensor, and a second sensor. The first driving device includes a pick-up member to move documents from a tray to a document conveying path using a driving force through a first clutch. The second driving device is to move the tray with the documents to a side of the pick-up member using a driving force through a second clutch. The third driving device to move the documents along the document conveying path onto the image sensor using the driving force of the motor The first and second sensors detect the documents on the document conveying path. The processor controls an operation of the first clutch based on the signals of the first and second sensors.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes: a supply tray, which supports sheets to be supplied and includes a movable plate configured to move from a first position to a second position as the sheet supported by the supply tray is decreased, the second position being higher than the first position; a discharge tray; a conveyance guide; a reading sensor; a discharge unit, which includes a discharge opening to discharge the sheet conveyed by the conveyance guide to the discharge tray and is configured to move from a third position to a fourth position as the sheet supported by the paper feed tray is decreased, the fourth position being higher than the third position; and a first drive source, which generates a drive force, wherein the discharge unit is configured to move by receiving the drive force and to transmit the drive force to the movable plate.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes: a recording unit that performs recording on a medium; a medium discharging section that discharges the medium on which recording has been performed; a medium receiving section that receives the medium discharged by the medium discharging section; a face-down discharge path that guides, to the medium discharge section, the recorded medium with a recorded side thereof facing downward; a document movement path that is provided at an upper part of a housing constituting an outer casing of the recording apparatus and along which a document moves; and a reading unit provided in the document movement path to read the document. The medium receiving section also serves as a support tray that supports the document to be inserted into the document movement path or the document exiting from the document movement path.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes: an apparatus main body having a recording unit that performs recording onto a recording medium; and a document reading mechanism unit having a reading unit that reads a document and a document transport unit that transports a document to the reading unit, the document reading mechanism unit being provided in an upper part of the apparatus main body, wherein the apparatus main body includes: a feed roller that feeds the recording medium toward the front of the apparatus; and a frame having a frame surface intersecting the horizontal direction, the frame being located between the feed roller and the recording unit in an apparatus depth direction, and a part of the document reading mechanism unit overlaps the feed roller in the apparatus depth direction, and overlaps the frame in the vertical direction.
