CONFIGURABLE DOCUMENT SERVER
A configurable document server is described. In some embodiments, the configurable document server can enable administrators to set an option that prevents documents from being routed to users when the configurable document server experiences some types of errors. When the configurable document server determines that such an error condition exists, it may prevent the routing of the corresponding document. By preventing documents causing errors from being routed, the configurable document server enables administrators to improve the accuracy of document workflow and thereby improve productivity of users.
Communication apparatus and method for determining connection
A communication apparatus includes: a controller that controls processing to perform facsimile; a first controlling unit that controls a voltage between lines that perform facsimile in accordance with control by the controller; a detector that detects a voltage change between the lines; and second controlling unit that discharges electric charge accumulated in between the lines so as to enable the detector to detect a voltage change between the lines when the first controlling unit is turned off. The controller determining whether connection to the lines is made based on the voltage change detected by detector.
DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DATA PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The present invention provides a data processing apparatus that allows an administrator to know when transmission indicated in a transmission result stored in a communication management report transmitted as a file has been carried out from a file name of the communication management report. The data processing apparatus includes a file generation unit configured to generate a file, based on an execution history including at least a processing time of data and a processing result of the data, and a file name generation unit configured to generate a file name of the file based on the processing time.
COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD
A communication system includes a processor configured to communicate, when an abnormality has occurred in communication based on a first communication method, with a first communication system that is communicable using communication based on a second communication method, and cause the first communication system to transmit a piece of information to a target of communication using communication based on the first communication method.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An object is to improve convenience for a user in a case where an error diagnosis is performed in an information processing apparatus performing a data transmission process. In order to achieve this object, in display control of a GUI (graphical user interface) to perform diagnosis processing for identifying a cause of a failure in regard to a job of data transmission which fails to be performed, screen display in the GUI is controlled so that the user can recognize a job which is a target of the diagnosis processing.
IMAGE TRANSMITTING APPARATUS, IMAGE TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An image transmitting apparatus includes: a transmission circuit that, in response to an input lock signal switching from a first logic state to a second logic state, transmits, to an image receiving apparatus, transmission data, the transmission data being data in which a clock signal is superimposed on image data, the first logic state indicating that communication has not been established, the second logic state indicating that communication has been established; and a lock-signal masking unit that receives the lock signal from the image receiving apparatus, and that, even when the received lock signal enters the second logic state and then varies to the first logic state, only in the case where the first logic state continues for a preset time or longer, outputs a lock signal of the first logic state to the transmission circuit.
IMAGE TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION SYSTEM, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM, AND IMAGE TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION METHOD
An image transmission and reception system includes an image reception apparatus including a receiving circuit that extracts a clock signal from transmission data transmitted from an image transmission apparatus, acquires image data from the transmission data by using the extracted clock signal, and in a case where the clock signal is extractable from the transmission data, changes a lock signal, which indicates whether or not communication is established, from a first logical state indicating that the communication is not established to a second logical state indicating that the communication is established, and a lock signal transmission control unit that adds error detection information calculated by using code information, which includes information on a logical state of the lock signal output from the receiving circuit and notification information other than the logical state of the lock signal, to the code information, and outputs the code information with the error detection information as serial data to the image transmission apparatus, and the image transmission apparatus including a transmission circuit that transmits the transmission data in which the clock signal is superimposed on the image data to the image reception apparatus in a case where an input lock signal changes from the first logical state to the second logical state, an image transmission control unit that controls transmission of the image data to the image reception apparatus via the transmission circuit, and a lock signal receiving control unit that receives the serial data transmitted from the image reception apparatus, outputs notification information corresponding to the code information included in the received serial data to the image transmission control unit in a case where there is no inconsistency between the code information and the error detection information included in the received serial data, and outputs the lock signal in the logical state indicated by the code information to the transmission circuit.
