An example system includes a controller. The controller is to determine a first end point of a previous frame in a first image. The first image is to be printed on a first ribbon. The controller is to determine a second end point of the previous frame in a second image to be printed on a second ribbon. The controller is to create a current frame containing first image data from the first image starting after the first end point, second image data from the second image starting after the second end point, and third image data from a beginning of the first image. The system includes an image engine to form an image corresponding to the current frame on a medium.

An image processing apparatus includes first and second detecting units, a conveying unit, a reading unit, a setting unit, an executing unit, a storing unit, and a correcting unit. The first detecting unit detects a size of a set document. The conveying unit conveys the set document. The second detecting unit detects a size of the conveyed document. The reading unit reads an image of the conveyed document and generates image data. The setting unit sets a setting value based on the detected size before the document image is read. The executing unit executes image processing on the image data, based on the set setting value. The storing unit stores the image data. The correcting unit corrects, where the size detected by the second detecting does not match the size detected by the first detecting, the stored image data based on the size detected by the second detecting unit.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section capable of forming an image on a sheet of paper based on an input image, a display section for displaying the input image, an operation section which receives a user's input operation to designate three or more arbitrary number of points inside the input image displayed on the display section as adjustment points, and designates at least one destination of the three or more adjustment points, and an image processing section which calculates each moving amount of the adjustment points from position information on the destinations of the adjustment points designated by the operation section so as to adjust a position of an image of a region enclosed by the three or more adjustment points.

An image processing apparatus scans an image of a document into image data, splits the image data into a plurality of areas to generate split image data, magnifies the split image data, and aggregates the magnified split image data at least based on a font size of one or more characters included in the split image data.

An image processing apparatus includes an image acquiring portion, a pair generating portion, first through third determination portions, and an image combining portion. The image acquiring portion acquires an image for each page of a booklet. The pair generating portion arranges the images in order of the pages of the booklet, and generates pairs from the arranged images, each pair being a pair of adjacent pages in a spread state of the booklet. The first determination portion determines whether a drawn image is present in a band-like region including a boundary between two images in each of the pairs. The second determination portion determines whether there is drawing continuity between the two images. The third determination portion determines whether the two images have to be combined, on the basis of determination results of the first and second determination portions. If so, the image combining portion combines the two images.

A method and apparatus for cropping annotated images are provided herein. During operation an image will be analyzed to determine any annotation existing within the image. When annotation exists, the annotated portion is cropped and displayed as the preview (thumbnail) within, for example, a messaging application.

A system for printing and cutting shapes on a product is provided. The customized printing system may include a communication module that receives an image and an identified parameter for the product. The system may also include an apportionment module that determines a die-line file and an image file to be printed on the product, with a real-time preview displayed by the communication module, via a user interface. The die-line file and image file may be transmitted to a production module, which can be in communication with a printer and a cutter. The printer may print the image on the product, while the cutter cuts the shape out of the product based on the die-line file. This system enables efficient and accurate production of printed products with customized images and shapes using artificial intelligence and/or machine learning. A method of printing an image on a product is also provided.

An image reading apparatus includes a document setting table, an image data generation unit, a downsized image data generation unit, a document information generation unit, and an image cropping unit. The image data generation unit reads a plurality of source documents placed on the document setting table and generates image data representing the plurality of source documents. The downsized image data generation unit generates downsized image data by reducing a size of the image data. The document information generation unit analyzes the downsized image data to detect respective positions of the plurality of source documents and generate document information indicating the detected positions. The image cropping unit cuts out a plurality of regions from the image data according to the document information and acquires a plurality of items of cropped image data respectively representing the plurality of source documents.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a display unit, an operation unit, and a controller. The controller causes, before printing an image, the display unit to reduce and display, with respect to each of setting items for printing, images to each of which a processing indicated by one of the setting items is applied. When a user designates one of the images to which the processing indicated by one of the setting items is applied, the controller accepts an instruction to print the image, reflecting the processing indicated by the setting item corresponding to a designated image, and causes the display unit to reduce and display the images to each of which the processing indicated by a remaining setting item not designated by the user, and the processing indicated by the designated setting item corresponding to the designated image, are applied, with respect to remaining setting items.

Handwritten notes are captured organized and stored by a system as a digital representation. The system includes a notebook having a set of pages, wherein each page has placed thereon a folio identifier representation, such representation including a page identifier. The system also includes a non-transitory computer readable medium encoded with instructions, which, when running on a camera-equipped computing device at a time when the camera thereof views a page of the notebook, cause performance of processes. The processes performed by the instructions include: processing an image associated with the page, detecting and decoding the folio identifier representation to provide a page identifier for the page, and if the image has not been previously captured, then capturing the image of the page and saving the image in an image store.
