A method, which is performed by an electronic device, for resizing an image having text is disclosed. The method may include determining layout information of at least one text region in the image. The layout information may include at least one of a number, a size, a location, a shape, or a text density of the at least one text region in the image. The method may also select a seam carving operation, a cropping operation, or a scaling operation for the image based on the layout information, a size of the image, and a target image size. The selected operation may be performed to resize the image to the target image size based at least on one of the layout information, the size of the image, or the target image size. The resized image may include the at least one text region.

The image analysis unit determines a first position relationship as a positional relationship between the body text region and the page number region. The image analysis unit detects a disarranged image. The disarranged image is an image of an original document having a second position relationship different from the determined first position relationship.

Cropping image within image preview

A cropping electronic display image is provided in response to selection of an image crop menu option. The cropping electronic display image includes a geometric shape superimposed on the input image. Operation of the user input component changing position of at least one side of the geometric shape within the cropping electronic display image is detected to identify a selected cropped image area. Portions of the input image outside the selected cropped image area are removed to produce a cropped image, in response to completing the process of changing position of at least one side of the geometric shape. The cropped image and the cropped image area are enlarged to fit within the cropping electronic display image.

An example system includes a controller. The controller is to determine a first end point of a previous frame in a first image. The first image is to be printed on a first ribbon. The controller is to determine a second end point of the previous frame in a second image to be printed on a second ribbon. The controller is to create a current frame containing first image data from the first image starting after the first end point, second image data from the second image starting after the second end point, and third image data from a beginning of the first image. The system includes an image engine to form an image corresponding to the current frame on a medium.
