There are provided a printing system, a method of generating a halftone processing rule, a method of acquiring a characteristic parameter, image processing device and method, a halftone processing rule, a halftone image, a method of manufacturing a printed material, an ink jet printing system, and a program which are capable of reducing an operation load of a user and acquiring a halftone processing rule appropriate for the printing system. A characteristic parameter acquisition chart including a pattern for acquiring characteristic parameters related to characteristics of the printing system is output, and the output characteristic parameter acquisition chart is read by image reading means. The characteristic parameters are acquired by analyzing the read image of the characteristic parameter acquisition chart, and halftone processing rules that define the processing contents of halftone processes used in the printing system are generated based on the acquired characteristic parameters.
METHOD FOR GENERATING SUBSTRATE-DEPENDENT COMPENSATION PROFILES AND FOR COMPENSATING FOR POSITION-DEPENDENT DENSITY FLUCTUATIONS
A method for compensating for position-dependent density fluctuations of print nozzles in any inkjet printer by a computer. The computer produces, for all substrates used, compensation profiles for the position-dependent density fluctuations over all print heads of the inkjet printer and applies the compensation profiles to compensate for the position-dependent density fluctuations in the inkjet printer. The computer determines in each case printer-specific or print head-specific influences and print substrate-specific influence factors with a generic reference print substrate, from which a reference compensation profile is produced which depends on the surface coverage and location. From this the computer produces a total compensation profile which is used to compensate for position-dependent density fluctuations.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING GRAYSCALE OF DISPLAY PANEL
Disclosed are a method and a device for adjusting grayscale of display panel, the method includes: obtaining a current image by performing image acquisition of a display panel; identifying an nonuniform block in the current image, detecting original output brightness and original input grayscale of the nonuniform block; determining a target input grayscale corresponding to a preset target brightness according to an actual Gamma curve value, wherein the actual Gamma curve value is obtained by testing the display panel; taking a difference between the original input grayscale and the target input grayscale as a grayscale compensation value of the nonuniform block.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An object of the present disclosure is to reduce density unevenness and streaks of an image that is printed in a case where it is not possible to implement sufficient correction only by the correction for a defective nozzle. One embodiment of the present invention is an image processing apparatus that performs processing for an input image for an image forming apparatus performing printing on a printing medium by using a print head in which a plurality of printing elements is arrayed, the image processing apparatus including: a storage unit configured to store density characteristic information indicating an output density for each tone for each of the printing elements; a target value acquisition unit configured to acquire a target characteristic indicating a target value for each tone; and a first correction unit configured to correct the input image based on the density characteristic information and the target value.
RECORDING CONTROL DEVICE, RECORDING APPARATUS, AND RECORDING CONTROL METHOD
A recording control device includes: a test pattern recording control unit; a correction value calculating unit that calculates a correction value of the ink amount of each nozzle, based on a reading value of the ink recording area of the recorded test pattern; and a correction recording control unit, in which the maximum ink amount of the ink recording area corresponding to the reading value used by the correction value calculating unit to calculate the correction value is smaller when a medium type of a recording medium on which the test pattern is recorded is a second recording medium in which the ink is easier to bleed than a first recording medium than when the medium type of the recording medium on which the test pattern is recorded is the first recording medium.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRINTING THREE-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURES WITH IMAGE INFORMATION
A method and system for printing 3D structures using 2D monochromatic images (for example, greyscale images) is provided. The method can include instructing a printing device to print a 2D monochromatic image using print material in a reservoir known to contain a structural print material. Greater amounts of print material are printed in locations corresponding to relatively darker regions of the 2D monochromatic image.
Grayscale Adjustment Method and Grayscale Adjustment Device for Display Panel
A grayscale adjustment method of a display panel, a grayscale adjustment device and a display device using the same are provided. The grayscale adjustment method includes steps of capturing an image of the display panel to obtain a current image; identifying a non-uniform block in the current image, and detecting an original output brightness value and an original input grayscale of the non-uniform block; determining a target input grayscale corresponding to a preset target brightness value according to an actual gamma curve value, wherein the actual gamma curve value is obtained by testing the display panel; and setting a difference between the original input grayscale and the target input grayscale as a grayscale compensation value of the non-uniform block.
Method of stitching overlapping printhead segments
A method of printing an image using a printing system having first and second overlapping printhead segments. The method includes the steps of: (i) identifying a strip of the image to be printed in an overlap region of the first and second printhead segments; (ii) determining a stitching technique for the first and second printhead segments; and (iii) printing the image using the first and second printhead segments, the printing including stitching the first and second printhead segments in the overlap region using the determined stitching technique. The stitching technique may be a butt stitch or a feathered stitch, dependent on image content in the strip.
Method for controlling density of image to be formed by image forming apparatus having developer and humidity sensors
An apparatus converts image data based on a conversion condition, forms an image using a developer, measures the developer, and measures humidity. The apparatus determines a first density of an image when a mode of the apparatus changes from a power saving mode in which the apparatus cannot form an image to a normal mode in which the apparatus can form an image, from values measured, based on a first determination condition, determines a second density of an image when the apparatus has formed images on a predetermined number of sheets in the normal mode, from values measured, based on a second determination condition that is different from the first determination condition, and generates the conversion condition based on the first density and the second density.
IMAGE SIGNAL PROCESSING DEVICE, DITHER PATTERN GENERATING METHOD, AND DITHER PATTERN GENERATING PROGRAM
A storage device stores dither patterns composed of three-dimensional block consisting of the number H of dots in a horizontal directionthe number V of lines in a vertical directionthe number F of frame directions. Each value from a minimum value to a maximum value of dither values of n bits is written in each address of the storage device corresponding to each dot. When each value is written into the storage device, processing of obtaining a spatiotemporal density value indicating a degree of density of an address in which a dither value has already been written in a predetermined three-dimensional area centered on each of the addresses in which a new dither value is writable, and processing of selecting an address having the smallest spatiotemporal density value among the addresses in which a new dither value is writable and writing a dither value are repeated.
