Method for using a paper catalog map with a paper catalog for printing operations
A color printing system includes a printing device and other components that use color printing resources, such as calibration and ICC profiles, to complete color printing operations. These color printing resources are used for a large number of paper types stored in a paper catalog. The paper types can be further placed into paper groups within the paper catalog. The paper groups may be formed by assigning new papers into the paper catalog to those having paper types with existing calibration data and ICC profiles. These relationships are shown in a paper catalog map. The print shop can use the paper catalog map for selling paper types, providing different capabilities for paper types, and other information.
PRINTING DEVICES
An example printing device and method of the printing device is disclosed. A print substance formulation is modulated based on the process characteristic for a selected medium. A print substance is delivered to the selected medium according to the modulated print substance formulation.
Image processing system, control method, and storage medium
An image processing system includes an image forming apparatus, and an image processing apparatus connected to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus forms an image, acquires a chromaticity value that is a result of measurement of a sheet on which the image is formed with use of a sensor in which a characteristic of a light source is fixed, and transmits the acquired chromaticity value to the image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus receives the transmitted chromaticity value, specifies a condition when the result of the measurement using the sensor is acquired, and converts the received chromaticity value with use of the specified condition and information regarding an amount of an optical brightening agent contained in the sheet on which the image is formed.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
An image processing apparatus is equipped with: an image data receiving unit that receives image data; and a print data generating unit that generates multiple value data as print data by performing a halftone process on the image data and converting the image data into at least three values. The print data generating unit administers a halftone process that includes a density fluctuation suppressing process that results in the print data always including a zero value except for a case in which all of the pixels that constitute the image data are converted into a maximum value.
EMULATING 3D TEXTUAL PATTERNS
Example implementations relate to emulating 3D texture patterns in a printer system. One example implementation receives an image having a number of image pixels and selects from a plurality of digital substrates which each correspond to a physical substrate. Each digital substrate has luminance change data corresponding to heights of a 3D texture pattern at respective locations of the physical substrate. An image having emulated 3D texture is generated by adjusting the luminance of the image pixels corresponding to respective locations of the physical substrate and according to the corresponding luminance change data.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and non-transitory recording medium storing image processing program
An image processing apparatus for causing a printer to perform printing includes: a memory storing a color profile including a plurality of corresponding relationships between color values being coordinate values in a color space and recording material values corresponding to respective amounts of recording materials used; and a processor configured to cause the printer to print a color chart. The processor obtains a plurality of specific recording material values being the recording material values corresponding to specific color values being coordinate values of the color space in accordance with the plurality of corresponding relationships included in the color profile, and causes the printer to print the color chart including patches having the corresponding amounts of the individual specific recording material values used.
CONFIGURING COLOR CONCENTRATIONS BASED ON A WHITE-POINT OF PRINT MATERIAL
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to color printing calibration. In a particular example, an apparatus includes a media sensor and a formatter. The media sensor may collect spectral data from light reflected off a print material. The media sensor may include a light source to illuminate a portion of the print material, a diffractor to diffract light reflected off of the print material, and a photo-detector to obtain the spectral data from the light reflected off the print material. The formatter may identify a white-point of the print material using the spectral data and configure color concentrations in the apparatus based on the identified white-point of the print material.
Printing apparatus, printing method and recording medium for recording programs to determine a base coated region from an image of a nail and a design printing region in order to generate print data to perform printing on a nail using a print head
A printing apparatus includes at least one processor which detects color information on a region which is not coated with base and a base coated region which is coated with the base from an image of a nail, sets, in a relation between the base coated region and a desired design, a region which overlaps with the design in the base coated region as a design printing region in which the design is to be printed, sets a region which does not overlap with the design printing region in the base coated region as a nail color coating region which is to be coated with a nail color which is based on color information on the nail and thereby generates print data and a print head which performs printing on the nail in accordance with the print data.
Intelligent media profile management
Systems and methods manage information relating to paper media to enhance the quality of printing by printers. Systems and methods efficiently maintain color management profiles for different papers and ensure that the most appropriate (e.g., optimal) color management profile is employed for color conversion on a specific paper. In particular, embodiments may employ dynamic management of data stored in paper catalogs of printing systems. As such, a paper catalog of a printer device can effectively associate a paper with a color management profile that provides the best possible color reproduction on that paper.
Information processing apparatus, color conversion profile creation method, and learning apparatus
An information processing apparatus configured to store a machine-learned model that learned, by machine learning, a relationship between a type of a printing medium, an amount of a coloring material on the printing medium per unit area, and an image including a linear image and printed on the printing medium; and estimate, based on a selection information and a imaging information, by using the machine-learned model, a limit value indicating a maximum value or a minimum value of an amount of the coloring material to be used for printing on the printing medium by the printing section per unit area; and create, by using the limit value, a color conversion profile including information regarding mapping between a coordinate value in a color space and an amount of the coloring material.
