Image processing apparatus, image processing system, image processing method, and computer program
A projection control unit performs control such that a first pattern image in which first feature points are arranged is caused to be projected on a projection surface, and a second pattern image including second feature points corresponding to the first feature points is caused to be projected on a planar projection surface. An acquisition unit acquires, from a photographing unit, a first photographed image of the projected first pattern image and a second photographed image of the second pattern image. An extraction unit extracts second connected components in which the second feature points are connected in a predetermined direction and first connected components in which the first feature points are connected. A shift amount calculation unit calculates shift amounts of the first connected components with respect to the second connected components. A first calculation unit calculates correction information for correcting a projection target image based on the shift amounts.
Projection system, image processing apparatus, and calibration method
A projection system, apparatus, and method in which a plurality of projectors project images to form an image as a whole on a projected area which is a screen area on which a content image is projected without a frame. Images for calibration are output by the plurality of projectors, the images for calibration including positioning markers that are indications for positioning to the corners of the projected area. Correction coefficients are calculated based on reference points of the projected area, and a projection target area is defined which corresponds to the screen area.

Projection system, projector, and image adjustment method
A projection system includes a plurality of projectors adapted to project respective images arranged on a projection surface, a control device, and an imaging section, the plurality of projectors is classified into N (N is no smaller than 2) projector groups, the control device makes the projector groups project adjusting images on the projection surface at respective timings different from each other, and then makes the imaging section sequentially image the projection surface on which the adjusting images are projected, at least one of the N projector groups includes two or more projectors, and the two or more projectors project the adjusting images at respective positions not adjacent to each other in the projection surface.
Calibration feature masking in overlap regions to improve mark detectability
A method of displaying an image using at least a first projector and a second projector includes projecting a calibration pattern using the first projector, the calibration pattern being embedded in a first portion of an image projected by the first projector. The method determines a contribution of the second projector to projecting a second portion of the image to an overlap area, the overlap area having a contribution from the first and second projectors, wherein the contribution is an intensity of a color channel. The determined contribution of the second projector to the overlap area is modified to allow the calibration pattern of the first projector to be detectable to a capture device, the modification having a pattern corresponding to the calibration pattern. The image is then displayed using the first projector and the modified contribution of the second projector.
Projection system, and information processing apparatus
A projection system includes image projection apparatuses to project one image onto a projection face based on image information, a projection controller to divide the image information into a plurality of segment image data, and to instruct each of the image projection apparatuses to project corresponding segment image data, a positional deviation detector disposed at each of the image projection apparatuses to detect a positional deviation at the image projection apparatuses, an identification unit to identify which image projection apparatus requires a calibration processing; a projection unit to cause the identified image projection apparatus to project a calibration image information; an image capture apparatus to capture the calibration image information; and a calibration unit to calibrate the segment image data projected by the identified image projection apparatus based on the captured calibration image information.
Technologies for projecting a noncontinuous image
Technologies for projecting a noncontinuous image onto at least a portion of a projection region using a projector of a projection device. The projection device is configured to determine one or more cut-out areas of the projection region. Each cut-out area defines an area within the projection region on which a corresponding portion of the image is not to be projected by the projector of the projection device. The projection device is further configured to update the projection region based on the cut-out area(s) and project, via the projector, the image onto the updated projection region, wherein no portion of the image is projected on cut-out area(s). Other embodiments are described and claimed.
