Video recorder

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for recording video data of an event. The apparatuses include a processor communicating with memory. The memory stores video data of the event captured by a camera, and the video data includes a series of picture frames of the event. A loop buffer also stores video data of the event captured by the camera. A rule-based engine stored in the memory uses a set of rules to store the contents of the loop buffer in the memory. The apparatus utilizes the loop buffer to provide video data prior to occurrence of the event.

SPHERICAL VIDEO EDITING

Systems and methods provide for editing of spherical video data. In one example, a computing device can receive a spherical video (or a video associated with an angular field of view greater than an angular field of view associated with a display screen of the computing device), such as by a built-in spherical video capturing system or acquiring the video data from another device. The computing device can display the spherical video data. While the spherical video data is displayed, the computing device can track the movement of an object (e.g., the computing device, a user, a real or virtual object represented in the spherical video data, etc.) to change the position of the viewport into the spherical video. The computing device can generate a new video from the new positions of the viewport.

This invention relates to a network interface device. A first capture device interfaces with a first external information source to capture first external information. A processor processes the captured first external information and stores it in a first media. The processor initiates the storage of the first captured information at an initial time and completes storage of the first captured information at a completion time, thus providing a stored defined set of first captured information. A transmitter transmits the defined set of stored captured information to a remote location on a network. A remote processing system is disposed at the remote node on the network and includes a database and a receiver for receiving the transmitted defined set of first captured information. A data converter is operable to convert the received defined set of first captured information to a second format. The database stores the set of converted captured information.

Data sterilization for post-capture editing of artificial reality effects

In one embodiment, the system may receive a serialized data stream generated by serializing data chunks including data from a video stream and contextual data streams associated with the video stream. The contextual data streams may include a first computed data stream and a sensor data stream. The system may extract the video data stream and one or more contextual data streams from the serialized data stream. The system may generate a second computed data stream based on the sensor data stream in the extracted contextual data streams. The system may compare the second computed data stream to the first computed data stream extracted from the serialized data stream to select a computed data stream based on one or more pre-determined criteria. The system may render an artificial reality effect for display with the extracted video data stream based at least in part on the selected computed data stream.

VIDEO CONTENT MEDIUM AND VIDEO REPRODUCTION APPARATUS

In a format in which a graphic is transmitted to a display apparatus after being combined with a content video, luminance of the graphic is fluctuated by dynamic metadata control. A video content medium relating to technology disclosed in the description of the present application is a video content medium on which one or more video streams, control information, and graphic information including a menu or a subtitle are recorded, wherein at least one of the video streams is a video having a wide luminance range, and graphic transition time information indicating a transition time to switch between luminance range adjustment functions when a graphic is combined is stored together.

Method and system for indexing video data using a data processing unit

A method for processing video data is performed by a data processing unit (DPU). The method includes obtaining, by the DPU of an edge device, video data; processing the video data to obtain video data chunks and indexing attributes; generating indexing metadata based on the video data chunks and the indexing attributes; processing the video data chunks and indexing attributes to generate contextual attributes; generating contextual metadata based on the contextual attributes and the video data chunks; associating the indexing metadata and the contextual metadata with the video data chunks; and storing the indexing metadata, contextual metadata, and the video data chunks in storage.

REPRODUCTION DEVICE, REPRODUCTION METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

The present technology relates to a reproduction device, a reproduction method, and a recording medium that enable content having a wide dynamic range of brightness to be displayed with an appropriate brightness. A recording medium, on which the reproduction device of one aspect of the present technology performs reproduction, records coded data of an extended video that is a video having a second brightness range that is wider than a first brightness range, brightness characteristic information that represents a brightness characteristic of the extended video, and brightness conversion definition information used when performing a brightness conversion of the extended video to a standard video that is a video having the first brightness range. The reproduction device decodes the coded data and converts the extended video obtained by decoding the coded data to the standard video on the basis of the brightness conversion definition information.
