Packed I-Frames
Systems and methods for enabling playback control functions of a media player are disclosed. For example, a user of a client device receiving streaming playback of a video stream may perform rewind and fast forward control functions. The client device may implement these playback control functions by retrieving an enhanced playback segment. Using the enhanced playback segment, the media player may display selected frames at a predetermined interval while maintaining a visual cadence that is pleasing to a viewer. In the described embodiments, a client device may render a video stream, receive a command to control a fast forward or rewind playback mode for the video stream, and retrieve, from a distribution server or associated edge cache, one or more enhanced playback segments adapted to implement the user command.
Information processing device, information processing method, playing device, playing method, and program
The present invention relating to an information processing device, information processing method, playing device, playing method, and program that enables playing of stereo image (3D image) contents appropriately. In the case that 3D playing using Base view video and D1 view video is instructed, “10000.ilvt (ref_to_D1-B_interleaved_file_name) described in interleaved_file_info ( ) of the PlayList file is specified, and Base view video chunks and D1 view video chunks are read out from an optical disc through a UDF file system. The Base view video chunks and D1 view video chunks that are read out are supplied to a decoder unit and played. The present invention is applicable to a playing device compatible with the BD-ROM standard.
Coordinating image sensing with motion
A method may include generating one or more control signals configured to control a velocity of an image sensing system based on a rate of recording pixels frames in the image sensing system. In some embodiments, the method may alternatively or additionally include generating one or more control signals configured to control the rate of recording in the image sensing system based on the velocity of the image sensing system. In some embodiments, a portion of image pixel data for a pixel frame may be output for transmission to a remote receiver. In some embodiments, the output data may include a recently recorded image data pixel for those surface resolution cells for which there is no currently stored reference image data pixel of a previously recorded pixel frame that is the same or is different by less than a threshold amount as the recently recorded image data pixel.
Method and video device for accessing information
A method and video device are disclosed for accessing information. In an embodiment of the present invention, part of data included in a title, being played, read from a storage medium or extracted from a broadcast signal is extracted and sent to a server over a network, and information corresponding to the part of the data (i.e., information related to the data and complete data of the data) is received from the server and played. Rather than the part of the data, information related to a position of the data, (e.g. a time point at which the playing of the data starts within the title or a radial position or a physical address at which the data is located in the storage medium) may be sent. The data may be data that forms audio, a frame-shaped video clip or a frame-shaped picture included in the title.
Image processing apparatus for correcting a distortion of a still image generated from a frame image of a moving image, image capturing apparatus, image generation apparatus, and image processing method
An image processing apparatus that records a moving image used for generating a still image by a generation unit, comprises: a correction amount calculation unit configured to calculate, for each frame of the moving image, a correction amount for correction of a rolling shutter distortion of an image signal based on a shake amount detected by a camera shake amount detection unit; and a recording unit configured to record the correction amount in association with an image for each frame of the moving image, wherein the generation unit corrects an image of a selected frame from among the images of the frames based on the associated correction amount, and generates a still image.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method, recording medium, playback apparatus, playback method, and program
There is provided an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, a recording medium, a playback apparatus, a playback method, and a program that are designed to prevent an unnatural change in luminance during random access. The information processing apparatus according to one aspect of the present technology generates dynamic metadata including information regarding luminance of a picture, and encodes HDR video data such that the dynamic metadata is added to each picture serving as a random access point. For example, the dynamic metadata can be allowed to be added to the first picture of a GOP, the first picture serving as the random access point during fast-forward playback/rewind playback or cueing playback. The present technology can be applied to a Blu-ray (registered trademark) Disc player.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
According to various example embodiments of the present disclosure, an electronic device may include: a camera; a display; at least one memory; and a processor operatively coupled to the camera, the display, and the memory. According to various example embodiments of the present disclosure, an electronic device may include: a camera module including a camera; a display; a memory; and a processor operatively coupled to the camera module, the display, and the memory, wherein the processor is configured to acquire an image through the camera module in response to entering a capture mode, to display the acquired image as a preview image through the display, to acquire a still picture from the image in response to an operational instruction for capturing the still picture, to acquire a video from at least one part of the preview image, to generate a still picture file of an image format based on the still picture and a video, and store the still picture file in the memory.
Electronic device
An electronic device includes: a communication unit that is engaged in communication with an external device; a control unit that adds image information into transmission data to be transmitted to the communication unit; and a decision-making unit that makes a decision in correspondence to information indicating a recipient of the transmission data as to whether or not to allow photographing location information included in the image information to be included in the transmission data.
Media player configured to receive playback filters from alternative storage mediums
A media player configured with a first removable memory reader, such as a DVD drive, and a second removable memory reader, such as a flash memory reader, adapted to communicate with a removable memory containing filter data. The media player is configured to allow filtered playback of a multimedia presentation, such as a movie. Filtered playbabk causes certain portions of the multimedia presentation to be skipped, muted, blurred, cropped, or otherwise modified to eliminate or reduce potentially objectionable scenes, language, or other content. The second memory reader provides a convenient medium for the loading of filter information, whether data files, executable program code, or the like, to local memory of the media player to employ during filtered playback. Alternatively, the filters may be accessed from the removable storage media during playback rather than loading to local memory.
USER CONTROL FOR DISPLAYING TAGS ASSOCIATED WITH ITEMS IN A VIDEO PLAYBACK
A video scene is displayed in a either a tag mode or a tagless mode. The video scene depicts a plurality of visually perceptible items. The tag mode displays one or more visually perceptible tags in conjunction with the video scene. Each tag is associated with a visually perceptible item appearing in the video scene. The tags are categorized into a plurality of categories. In response to a request to display the video scene in the tag mode for a first one of the plurality of categories, the display device displays the video scene in the tag mode displaying tags in the first one of the categories. In response to a request to display the video scene in the tag mode for a second one of the plurality of categories, the display device displays the video scene in the tag mode displaying tags in the second one of the categories.
