Methods and apparatus for using track derivations to generate new tracks for network based media processing applications
The techniques described herein relate to methods, apparatus, and computer readable media configured to perform media processing tasks. A media processing entity includes a processor in communication with a memory, wherein the memory stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform receiving, from a remote computing device, multi-view multimedia data comprising a hierarchical track structure comprising at least a first track comprising first media data at a first level of the hierarchical track structure, and a second track comprising task instruction data at a second level in the hierarchical track structure that is different than the first level of the first track. The instructions further cause the processor to perform processing the first media data of the first track based on the task instruction data of the second track to generate modified media data and an output track that includes the modified media data.
Apparatus, systems and methods for control of sporting event presentation based on viewer engagement
Systems and methods are operable to present a sporting event on a display based on a determined level of viewer engagement and a determined team preference of the viewer. An exemplary embodiment presents a neutral viewpoint video content segment on the display during the first period of game play when the viewer has a neutral team preference, alternatively presents a first team alternative video content segment on the display during the first period of game play when the viewer has a preference for the first team, or alternatively presents a second team alternative video content segment on the display during the first period of game play when the viewer has a preference for the second team.
Multi-camera device
This specification describes: using a first camera of a multi-camera device to obtain first video data of a first region; using a second camera of the multi-camera device to obtain second video data of a second region; generating a multi-camera video output from the first and second video data using a first video mapping to map the first video data to a first portion of the multi-camera video output and using a second video mapping to map the second video data to a second portion of the multi-camera video output; and generating an audio output from obtained audio data, the audio output comprising an audio output having a directional component within the first portion of the video output and an audio output having a directional component within the second portion of the video output, wherein generating the audio output comprises using a first audio mapping to map audio data having a directional component within the first region to the audio output having a directional component within the first portion of the video output and using a second audio mapping to map audio data having a directional component within the second region to the audio output having a directional component within the second portion of the video output.
Immersive viewing experience
This patent discloses a method record imagery in a way that is larger than a user could visualize. Then, allow the user to view naturally via head tracking and eye tracking to allow one to see and inspect a scene as if one were naturally there viewing it in real time. A smart system of analyzing the viewing parameters of a user and streaming of customized image to be displayed is also taught herein.
Method and device for transmitting video content and method and device for receiving video content
The present disclosure relates to a method and device for transmitting and receiving video content including three-dimensional (3D) data. The method of transmitting video content through a plurality of assets includes identifying whether content transmitted through an asset is a sub-picture; when the content transmitted through the asset is the sub-picture, generating sub-picture asset information comprising information about other sub-pictures constituting a composition picture together with the sub-picture; and transmitting the sub-picture asset information and the content.
System and method for augmented reality via data crowd sourcing
The present teaching relates to method, system, medium, and implementations for augmenting data via data crowd sourcing. Local data are acquired by one or more sensors deployed on a first device. Augmented data are obtained where such augmented data are generated based on the local data and remote data from at least one second device and are rendered on the first device.
Method and device for assigning video streams to watcher devices
A process for operating an electronic computing device to assign video streams to watcher devices. The electronic computing device detects objects of interest within a field-of-view of a camera as a function of incident context information. The electronic computing device obtains video display characteristics associated with watcher devices and further determines, based on respective positions of the objects of interest within the field-of-view, a plurality of sub-regions each enclosing at least one of the detected objects of interest and having one or more video attributes. The electronic computing device then assigns, based on the video display characteristics associated with the watcher devices and the video attributes of the sub-regions, each of the sub-regions to a respectively selected one of the watcher devices. The video streams respectively captured corresponding to each of the assigned sub-regions of interest are then transmitted to the respectively selected one of the watcher devices.
MEDIA PROCESSING METHOD, DEVICE AND SYSTEM, AND READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided in embodiments of the disclosure are a media processing method, device and system, and the computer-readable storage medium. The media processing method includes: in a media file, describing position information and/or position change information of a user; and processing the media file to determine a video to be played. As such, by describing position information and/or position change information of a user in the media file, the video frame can be adjusted in real time according to the position of the user, thereby improving the quality of viewing by the user and improving user experience.
Systems and methods for changing a users perspective in virtual reality based on a user-selected position
Systems and methods are described for a media guidance application (e.g., implemented on a user device) that allows users to select any arbitrary position in a virtual reality environment from where to view the virtual reality content and changes a user's perspective based on the selected position.
Live concert/event video system and method
One aspect of the invention is a method of providing video to attendees of a live concert. Video of different views of the live concert is captured. A plurality of video streams are provided to attendees of the live concert while the live concert is occurring. The plurality of digital video streams enable an attendee of the live concert to select which of the plurality of digital video streams to view using a portable digital device associated with that attendee such that the attendee may choose from among the different views of the live concert.
