METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTING AUDIO/VIDEO STREAM IN AUDIO/VIDEO STREAM DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, AND DYNAMIC PARENT NODE
Method for distributing an audio/video stream in an audio/video stream distribution system, and a dynamic parent node are provided. The system includes an information exchange center and distribution subsystems. The distribution subsystem includes an edge node layer, a static parent node layer, and a dynamic parent node layer. The method includes: receiving a stream-pulling request initiated by a stream-pulling client, and determining whether there exists an audio/video stream to which the stream-pulling request is directed in the first dynamic parent node, the stream-pulling request including an area identity provided by the information exchange center; determining a second dynamic parent node in a second distribution subsystem corresponding to the area identity based on pre-configured subarea information when there does not exist the audio/video stream in the first dynamic parent node; and obtaining the audio/video stream from the second dynamic parent node, and feeding back the audio/video stream to the stream-pulling client.
Geolocationing System and Method for Use of Same
A geolocationing system and method for providing awareness in a multi-space environment, such as a hospitality environment or educational environment, are presented. In one embodiment of the geolocationing system, an array of gateway devices is provided. Each gateway device includes a gateway device identification providing an accurately-known fixed location within the multi-space environment. Each gateway device includes a wireless transceiver that receives a beacon signal from a proximate wireless-enabled personal locator device. The gateway devices, in turn, send gateway signals to a server, which determines estimated location of the wireless-enabled personal locator device with transmitted signal strength modeling.
Set-top box with enhanced features and system and method for use of same
A set-top box with enhanced features and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the set-top box, the set-top box is deployed to provide an interactive portal in a hospitality establishment having multiple rooms, such as a hotel. The set-top box generates a default interactive portal as well as a guest-specific interactive portal, which is generated from a guest configuration profile having information including guest identification, a guest channel preference presentation, and a guest service preference presentation with guest account information. The guest configuration profile may also enable the creation of a local area wireless network with substantially the same behavior as the guest's home wireless network. The guest configuration profile may further enable the control of in-room amenities, such as temperature control, lighting, shades, and availability, for example.
Providing over-the-air content to any device
Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for providing over-the-air (OTA) content to electronic devices. Some embodiments operate by automatically providing program listings of OTA content to the electronic devices, wherein the program listings are displayed in user interfaces of the electronic devices; receiving a user selection of particular OTA content from one of the electronic devices; receiving electronic signals containing OTA content from an antenna; processing, using a tuner, the received electronic signals to extract the particular OTA content therefrom; and transmitting the extracted OTA content to the electronic device for playback. In some embodiments, the extracted OTA content is stored in storage of said the electronic device for future on-demand playback to the user.
Program, recording medium, and reproducing apparatus
The problem to be solved is to make it possible to download via a network, efficiently manage, retrieve, and reproduce an external content associated with a content recorded on a recording medium. To solve the problem, a program is used which controls reproduction of information located on a recording medium and related information. The program includes the steps of: obtaining from the outside specific information associated with predetermined information recorded on a recording medium; and obtaining medium identification information located on a recording medium; wherein if the specific information has been obtained, a storage unit in a reproducing apparatus is controlled to associate the specific information with the medium identification information for storage.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING PROGRAMING DATA USING MULTIPLE TECHNOLOGIES
Various embodiments of a system includes receiving a request to display a content and employing an antenna system to receive content data that is representative of the content. The antenna system includes a first antenna, a second antenna, and a third antenna. The system further utilizing at least three arrangements to collect the content, wherein a first arrangement includes receiving the content data broadcasted over the air to extract the content from the content data, a second arrangement includes establishing a wireless communication connection with a network node device operated by a first telecommunication service provider to collect the content data from a server, and a third arrangement includes connecting to a hot-spot having a connection to a second network node device operated by a second telecommunication service provider to collect the content data from the server. The system further transfers the content to the display component, which is collected utilizing the three arrangements.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSOCIATION OF A SONG, MUSIC, OR OTHER MEDIA CONTENT WITH A USER'S VIDEO CONTENT
In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for association of a song, music, or other media content with a user's video content. The system enables a user to associate a song, music, or other media content that is associated with an audio clip and a song metadata of a media content, with a video they are about to create, or have created, to create a video moment. A recipient of the video moment can hear the audio clip in combination with the video content, and also view the song metadata overlay, to determine the name of the song and artist that was used in the video, or optionally access the song at a media server, for further listening by the recipient.
System and method for using a website containing video playlists as input to a download manager
Systems and methods for enabling the download of a set of media files with a specific order and specific contents and, more particularly, to enabling a download manager to automatically receive the information it requires to retrieve those elements required to replicate a streaming edit through local playback after the downloads complete.
Remote wireless sniffer management
An example method may include receiving, from a wireless sniffer, sniffer data for a window of time, where the sniffer data may include wireless signal data. The method may also include obtaining corresponding access point data from an access point in a wireless network for at least part of the window of time for which the sniffer data is received. The method may additionally include analyzing the sniffer data and the corresponding access point data to assess performance of the wireless network.
Method and apparatus that processes programing data by multiple technologies
Various embodiments of a system includes receiving a request to display a content and employing an antenna system to receive content data that is representative of the content. The antenna system includes a first antenna, a second antenna, and a third antenna.
