Method for identifying video signal source
A method for identifying video signal source is provided. The method includes the following steps. A first identification code is assigned to a first transmitter device by a receiver control unit of a receiver device. A first video data is transmitted by the first transmitter device. The first video data and a first identification image corresponding to the first identification code are combined as a first combined video data by the receiver control unit. The first combined video data is outputted to a display device by the receiver control unit.
System and method for adapting control functions based on a user profile
The vehicle control system/method for adapting a control function based on a user profile may comprise: a gesture recognition module; a user profile module; a function control module; a processor; a non-transitory storage element coupled to the processor; encoded instructions stored in the non-transitory storage element, wherein the encoded instructions when implemented by the processor, configure the system to: identify a user; retrieve a user profile for the identified user; receive at a gesture recognition module, an input indicating a gesture from the user; identify a control function request corresponding to the gesture input; send a verification of the control function request; and receive at a function control module characteristics parsed from the user profile that effect the control function request by the user profile module to adapt a control function command for an adapted control function output by the function control module.
AUTOMATIC VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC DETECTION AND COMMUNICATION
Methods and systems for vehicle diagnostic detection and communication are disclosed. Specifically, a method to monitor the health of vehicle systems and subsystems and diagnose detected anomalies is provided. In the event an anomaly or unhealthy state is detected within a vehicle, subsystem or component, the system may take a number of actions. In one embodiment, the actions comprise notifying a maintenance provider, a regulatory monitor, and original equipment manufacturer. The system may also maintain a vehicle fleet-wide performance database to enable identification and analysis of systemic fleet-wide data.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR GRANTING LOCATION-BASED CREDENTIALS TO A DEVICE
A salient idea is to rely on the fact that a device at some point needs to be powered from an in-home power distribution network and that such a power distribution network, because of its fixed wired nature, may be used to uniquely identify and locate the power delivery point that a given device is powered from, and, by extension, where the device is located. It is proposed to create and leverage a unique identifier source, the signal of which is carried across a power distribution network (typically a domestic power installation). The source may be associated with the power meter of the customer premise, the location and unique identifier of this power meter are known by e.g. the utility provider. While being powered, a device receives this signal source carrying the unique identifier, which is representative of the customer location. The received identifier is further used in granting or denying access to services for that device, depending on whether it matches or not an identifier representative of the intended usage location.
System and Method for Scheduling Clips
An example method involves: accessing a first list that includes ordered clip identifiers C.sub.1 . . . C.sub.n; accessing a second list that includes ordered player identifiers P.sub.1 . . . P.sub.x; making a determination that a clip identifier C.sub.m is an initial one of the clip identifiers C.sub.1 . . . C.sub.n to have a player-identifier assignment-restriction; responsive to making the determination, (i) determining that the clip identifier C.sub.m is restricted to being assigned a player identifier P.sub.z from the player identifiers P.sub.1 . . . P.sub.x, and (ii) assigning to each clip identifier C.sub.1 . . . C.sub.m in reverse order a respective one of the player identifiers P.sub.1 . . . P.sub.x selected in a reverse ordered and looping fashion starting with the player identifier P.sub.z; and traversing the clip identifiers C.sub.1 . . . C.sub.m, and for each traversed clip identifier, causing a player identified by the one of the player identifiers P.sub.1 . . . P.sub.x assigned to the traversed clip identifier to load a clip identified by the traversed clip identifier.
Content supply device, content supply method, program, terminal device, and content supply system
The present disclosure relates to a content supply device, a content supply method, a program, a terminal device, and a content supply system that make it possible to receive streaming data from an origin server having the shortest communication distance. According to a first aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a content supply device that supplies a plurality of pieces of streaming data that include content of a same subject and differ in attribute, according to an adaptive streaming technique, the content supply device including: a metafile generating unit configured to generate a metafile that is for a reception side to select a supply source of the streaming data and that describes region identification information of the supply source; and a delivering unit configured to deliver the streaming data to the reception side as the supply source via a network, according to a request from the reception side based on the metafile. The present disclosure can be applied to a system in which content is delivered in a streaming manner.

Network device, information processing method, and HDMI device
It is made possible to easily acquire and use various kinds of information of each HDMI device in an HDMI cluster. A database in which at least an HDMI CEC logical address, an HDMI CEC physical address, and acquisition destination information for acquiring unique information are registered for each HDMI device in an HDMI cluster is included. A processing unit performs processing using this database. For example, the processing unit transmits the database to an external device. Also, for example, the processing unit displays an HDMI device in an HDMI cluster, a connection status thereof, and unique information of each HDMI device on the basis of this database.
Driver facts behavior information storage system
Methods and systems for tracking user behavior, the user behavior including one or more of: one or more user actions and one or more user interactions with a vehicle. A storage system stores the user behavior, where the tracked user behavior is associated with a driver and the storage system is capable of storing the tracked behavior for the driver from a plurality of vehicles.
INTERACTIVE CONTENT ACQUISITION USING EMBEDDED CODES
Methods and devices are provided to facilitate acquisition of information associated with a multimedia content through embedded watermarks. One such method includes obtaining a server code for embedding into a content. The server code identifies a particular domain name registered to a registrant entity and provides a mapping to an Internet address of a metadata server. Upon receiving an indication that a trigger event is associated with a particular segment of the content, a first watermark payload is formed and embedded in the content. The watermark payload includes the server code, an interval code and a first trigger value. The interval code identifies the particular content segment and the first trigger value indicates that additional information associated with the particular segment is. Detection of the first trigger value from a subsequently distributed content enables a query to the metadata server for acquisition of metadata.
