Systems, methods, and devices for managing segmented media content
A method includes receiving a request to initiate recording of a media object. The media object includes a first plurality of sequential media segments. The first plurality of sequential media segments is associated with a corresponding plurality of metadata files, each of which providing a description of a respective one of the first plurality of sequential media segments. The method includes generating, in response to receiving the request to initiate recording of the media object, a first common metadata file that is associated with the media object as a function of the corresponding plurality of metadata files. The first common metadata file includes sequencing information associated with the first plurality of sequential media segments. The method includes storing the first plurality of sequential media segments based on the sequencing information included in the first common metadata file.
DATA MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND DATA MANAGEMENT METHOD
A data management device includes a data management section and a priority setting section. The data management section acquires data related to board work with at least one piece of additional information regarding the board work, and stores the acquired data in a storage device in which a maximum storage amount is set for each additional information. The priority setting section sets a storage priority that is a priority for continuing storage of the acquired data stored in the storage device. The data management section stores the acquired data in the storage device, and deletes the acquired data stored in the storage device in order from the acquired data having a low storage priority set by the priority setting section when the maximum storage amount for at least one piece of the additional information is exceeded.
Recorded content storage and delivery management
Systems and methods for managing the storage and delivery of recorded content in a network digital video recorder (DVR) system are disclosed. A plurality of requests to record a program may be received, wherein the program may comprise a plurality of segments. A segment from the plurality of segments may be determined to be copied to a first storage. A copy of the segment may be received from a second storage and a plurality of copies of the segment may be created in the first storage from the copy of the segment received from the second storage. The quantity of the plurality of copies of the segment may be equal to the quantity of the plurality of requests to record the program.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DOWNLOADING RESOURCES
The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for downloading resources, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, and belongs to the field of Internet technology. The method includes: receiving a resource access request for a target resource from a client, and determining an access address of the resource access request, in which the access address carries an identifier of the target resource; querying a status of the target resource according to the identifier of the target resource carried in the access address; and sending, in response to the target resource being in a first status, a content distribution network address corresponding to the target resource to the client to cause the client to download the target resource according to the content distribution network address.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONTENT MANAGEMENT
Methods, systems, and apparatus are described herein for analyzing content if an interruption occurs during an output of content so as to synchronize a playback point of the output of content to a live point of the output of content. An output of content may be interrupted for any number of reasons, and during the interruption period, the content may be selectively stored.
METHOD FOR MEDIA STREAM PROCESSING AND APPARATUS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE SAME
A method for processing a media stream is proposed, which includes, at a media distribution unit including a processor: obtaining, based on media stream data received from a media encoder, at least one media data chunk of the media stream, wherein the at least one media data chunk is a separately addressable data unit by a request for media data received by the media distribution unit; generating, based on received media stream data, metadata related to the media data chunk; storing the media data chunk in a memory of the media distribution unit, wherein the memory is used to store media data chunks as separately addressable data units for a memory read from the memory; and updating a list of media data chunks stored in the memory, based on the metadata related to the media data chunk.
Minimizing stall duration tail probability in over-the-top streaming systems
A method executed by a processing system of an edge router deployed in a content distribution network includes receiving a request from an endpoint device for a first file, determining that a portion of the first file is not stored in a cache of the edge router, determining that the cache is at a capacity threshold, selecting a second file to evict from the cache, wherein the second file is one of a plurality of files stored in the cache, wherein each file of the plurality of files is scheduled to be evicted from the cache when a threshold period of time has passed since a last request for the each file was received by the edge router, and wherein the threshold period of time associated with the second file is scheduled to expire soonest among all of the plurality of files, and evicting the second file from the cache.
Server, server control method, server control program, communication terminal, terminal control method, and terminal control program
A server includes a server controller, a server communication unit, and a server storage unit, and is adapted to be connected to a communication terminal via the server communication unit. The server controller stores a video taken by a vehicle during traveling, in the server storage unit, such that the video is associated with a road on which the vehicle is traveling, determines a scheduled traveling route, in response to a request from the communication terminal, obtains the video corresponding to each of one or more roads that constitute the scheduled traveling route, from the server storage unit, and sends the video to the communication terminal, on which the video is displayed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STORING CONTENT ITEMS BASED ON CONSUMPTION HISTORY
Systems and methods for generating a notification for display on a device based on consumption history of a content item are disclosed herein. Control circuitry receives a request to store a content item of a series of sequentially ordered content items. The control circuitry determines whether the request is a new request for a user. Upon determining that the request is the new request, the control circuitry stores a predetermined number of content items of the series of sequentially ordered content items in a storage device. If a threshold amount of the predetermined number of content items has not been displayed on a device, then the control circuitry causes the notification to be displayed on the device.
