GENERATING A LIVE MEDIA SEGMENT ASSET
A system is provided for generating a live media segment asset. Manifest data and indexed metadata are inserted to a live media segment asset manifest based on an identifier in a received request. The indexed metadata is associated with a media segment from an indexed media content referenced in a first programming schedule. A live media segment asset is generated based on a context parameter and the insertion of the manifest data and the indexed metadata. The indexed media content is referenced by the identifier for the generation of the live media segment asset.
BROADCAST RECEPTION DEVICE, BROADCAST RECEPTION METHOD, AND BROADCAST RECEPTION PROGRAM
A broadcast reception device includes: a program recording execution unit that stores, into a recording-content storage area, program identification information for identifying a broadcast program, and storage-destination information for specifying a server device storing the broadcast program; a reception function execution unit that transmits the program identification information and the program storage-destination information to the server device specified from the program storage-destination information; and an output unit that outputs sound information and image information on the broadcast program transmitted from the server device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STREAMING MEDIA CONTENT DURING UNAVAILABILITY OF CONTENT SERVER
Systems and methods are described herein for streaming during unavailability of a content server. Upon determining that there are conditions indicating buffering issues during delivery of a media asset, a server determines a first group of devices suitable for receiving the media asset from the server and sharing the media asset on a peer-to-peer network. Then, the server determines a second group of devices suitable for receiving the media asset on a peer-to-peer network from a first group device. The server then determines groupings within which to share and receive the media asset. Next, the server transmits instructions to the devices in the first group to maintain in buffer and share certain portions of the media asset with the second group devices within their grouping. Finally, the server updates information detailing the media asset portions the devices are maintaining in buffer and sharing.
METHOD FOR RECEIVING A UNIVERSAL RESOURCE IDENTIFIER (URI) MESSAGE IN A VIDEO WATERMARK AND DEVICE FOR RECEIVING A UNIVERSAL RESOURCE IDENTIFIER (URI) MESSAGE IN A VIDEO WATERMARK
A system for broadcasting that includes a watermark payload.
Media channel identification and action with multi-match detection and disambiguation based on matching with differential reference-fingerprint feature
A computing system compares various reference fingerprints each representing a reference media stream broadcast on a different respective known channel, and the computing system determines that a plurality of the reference fingerprints match each other, thus defining a multi-match group of the matching reference fingerprints. In response, the computing system identifies a fingerprint feature that could define a distinction between the reference fingerprints, and the computing system resolves the multi-match based on the identified feature, thereby determining the channel carrying the media stream being rendered by the media presentation device. And the computing system could then take channel-specific action based on the determined channel.
Method and apparatus for efficient delivery and usage of audio messages for high quality of experience
A method and a system for virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, or 360-degree Video environment is disclosed. The system receives Video Streams associated to audio and video scenes to be reproduced and Audio Streams associated to audio and video scenes to be reproduced. There are provided a Video decoder which decodes signal from the Video Stream for the representation of the audio and video scene; an Audio decoder which decodes signal from the Audio Stream for the representation of the audio and video scene to the user; and a region of interest processor deciding, based e.g. on the user's viewport, head orientation, movement data, or metadata, whether an Audio information message is to be reproduced. At the decision, the reproduction of the Audio information message is caused.
Delivery of different services through different client devices
A system that handles delivery of service(s) through a client device, includes an interactive service provider, a video service provider, and a client device. The interactive service provider inserts at least one of digital watermarks and digital fingerprints in non-programming media content. The video service provider transmits a media stream of the media content that includes programming media content and the non-programming media content. The client device detects at least one of the inserted digital watermarks and the digital fingerprints in the playback duration of the media content and renders overlay graphics on the media content. The client device activates at least one of input devices paired with the client device and the rendered overlay graphics. The client device further receives trigger responses over activated overlay graphics and displays an interactive view to enable delivery of service(s) in response to the trigger responses.
Adaptive Bitrate Streaming Time Shift Buffer
Various embodiments describe methods, systems, and devices for deploying live media content as a time-shifted playback. Exemplary implementations may receive, from a client computing device, a content request for a time-shifted playback of live media content. The time-shifted playback may use a unique copy of a live media content configured for playback associated with the content request. The content request may indicate a past point in time in the live media content from which the time-shifted playback originates. The client computing device may be provided access to an assigned private path for accessing segments of the time-shifted playback starting from a requested segment that corresponds to the indicated past point in time. Access by the client computing device to further segments of the time-shifted playback may be prevented in response to determining that the subsequent content request for playback of the second live media content is received.
Automatically serving different versions of content responsive to client device rendering errors
In some embodiments, a system is provided, and computer-executable instructions cause the system to: obtain, at an edge server of a content delivery network, a request for a content item from a client device; determine that the there are multiple versions of the first content item that require varying amount of resources to serve including a first version, and a second version requiring more resources to serve than the first version; select the second version; send the second version; determine that the client device is not properly rendering the second version of the content item; and in response to determining that that the client device is not properly rendering the second version, send the first version.
Method and system for codec of visual feature data
A method and system for codec of visual feature data is provided. First protocol format visual feature data generated by an intelligent front end and a certificate identity used to uniquely identify a corresponding first protocol format are received. The first protocol format visual feature data is converted to a same type of second protocol format visual feature data according to the certificate identity. The second protocol format visual feature data is received and parsed according to the second protocol format to obtain original visual feature data that are generated by the intelligent front end and contained in the first protocol format visual feature data.
