Symbology encoding in video data
10390030 · 2019-08-20 · ·

A sensor data processing apparatus can be coupled to multiple image sensors of different types. The apparatus encodes symbology metadata in metadata space of image frames and maintains raw data from the sensors in the frames. The symbology metadata identifies a type of symbol that can be overlaid on the frame along with a location in the frame that identifies where the symbol can be overlaid. The apparatus transports the frames including the symbology metadata to an output path without overlaying symbology onto the raw data in the frames. Post processing can be performed to selectively overlay symbology in the image of a corresponding frame based on the symbology metadata.

Encoding device, decoding device, streaming system, and streaming method

According to an embodiment, an encoding device includes an encoder. The encoder is configured to generate a video stream. The video stream includes at least a first image group including a plurality of images encoded at a first bit rate and a second image group including a plurality of images. The first image group includes an intra-coded image. The plurality of images of the second image group are associated with the intra-coded image serving as a reference image to decode an inter-coded image, and are encoded at a second bit rate different from the first bit rate and having reproduction timing in synchronization with the plurality of images of the first image group.

A video surveillance system includes surveillance cameras; a video converting and combining unit; an encoder for encoding a combined video from the video converting and combining unit; a decoder for decoding the combined video transmitted from the encoder; a video converting and splitting unit for splitting the combined video decoded by the decoder into the videos captured by the surveillance cameras; and a display device for displaying the videos inputted from the video converting and splitting unit. When combining the videos into one combined video, the video converting and combining unit appends assignment information in which each of the surveillance cameras, rotation information indicating application of a rotation process, and division information indicating whether the corresponding video is a left half video or a right half video are associated with one another. The video converting and splitting unit splits an HD video into SD videos based on the assignment information.

Video routers and related methods with integrated audio mixing and processing

Video routing may include integrated audio mixing, audio processing, or both. An audio subsystem that is integrated with a video router, for example, may receive and mix router input audio signals to provide mixed audio signals, and route the mixed audio signals to router outputs as router output audio signals. Regarding audio processing, input audio signals that include router input audio signals that are received by the video router may be routed as output audio signals. The output audio signals include router output audio signals to be output from the video router. Respective ones of the output audio signals are processed to provide respective processed output audio signals. The input audio signals for the routing also include the processed output audio signals.

METHOD FOR ENCODING RAW HIGH FRAME RATE VIDEO VIA AN EXISTING HD VIDEO ARCHITECTURE

A system for transporting fast frame rate video data from a high frame rate image sensor mosaics and spreads the fast frame rate video data in 19201080p30 video frames for transporting via an existing standard video architecture. Packing information, spreading information, and unique ID/timestamps for each frame is encoded in metadata and inserted in ancillary metadata space of the 1080p30 video frames. A robust encoding scheme generates the metadata and ensures that the transported video can be reassembled into its original fast frame rate form after being spread over multiple channels.

SEAMLESS SWITCHING BETWEEN MULTICAST VIDEO STREAMS

A packet-based video network including: two or more video data sources, each configured to launch video data packets onto the network as multicast data packets each associated with a multicast group identifier corresponding to that video data source; and a video data destination configured to receive and process video data from a video data source by joining a multicast group corresponding to that video data source, and execute a switching operation to switch from receiving video data from a first video data source to receiving video data from a second video data source by leaving a multicast group of the first video data source and joining a multicast group of the second video data source. The video data destination is configured to process video data corresponding to a video frame which, at end of a frame period, represents a most recently received video frame from the first video data source.
