Lossless transport stream compression from constant bitrate to variable bitrate to constant bitrate
Techniques for lossless transport stream compression from constant bitrate to variable bitrate to constant bitrate are described. An exemplary method includes generating elementary stream data from an encoder; receiving the generated elementary stream data in a packetizer; generating a transport stream output in the packetizer; and in a statmux, for consecutive NULL packets generated by the packetizer, counting a number of NULL packets between non-null packets and dropping those NULL packets, modifying a next packet to indicate the number of NULL packets dropped using a field in the next packet, and sending the next packet to a receiver.
Timecode generation and assignment
A timecoding technique for determining and assigning timecodes for variable frame rate video. Content identified for timecode assignment is decoded, and for sequential frames of the content, portions of timestamps are compared to determine if the frames are from a same time period (e.g., from the same second in time). For a subsequent frame from the same time period, an index is atomically incremented, a timecode generated from a combination of the time period and the index, and the timecode assigned to the frame. For a subsequent frame from a different time period, the index is initialized, a timecode generated from a combination of the different time period and the initialized index, and the timecode assigned to the frame. Accumulated durations of frames may be used in place of timestamps, in some instances.
Video coder-based code rate control method and device, and video server
The invention is applicable to the field of videos and provides a video coder-based code rate control method and device, and a video server. The method comprises the following steps: in the video playback process, when a code rate needs to be switched, modifying time stamps of frames transmitted to the video coder in a switching process; transmitting, to the video coder, the frames having modified time stamps; and for each frame output by the video coder, restoring the time stamp of the output frame to be the original time stamp. The present invention avoids the stuttering resulted from interruption of coding, providing a very smooth switching process.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING TIMESTAMP OF LIVE STREAMING VIDEO
The present disclosure discloses a method and an apparatus for adjusting a timestamp of a live streaming video, relating to the field of video processing technology. The method includes: acquiring a target audio/video frame of the live streaming video and determining the timestamp corresponding to the target audio/video frame; based on the timestamp corresponding to an audio/video frame preceding the target audio/video frame, deciding whether the timestamp corresponding to the target audio/video frame is abnormal; and if abnormal, adjusting the timestamp corresponding to the target audio/video frame based on the timestamp corresponding to the preceding audio/video frame. The present disclosure ensures that the timestamps of the entire live data stream of the live streaming video are continuously stable and improves the playing stability of the live streaming video.
Architecture and algorithms for high availability statmuxing
Techniques for using statmuxes are described. In some examples, each statmux is to perform activities such as receiving complexity and quality data per frame per encoder of each channel of a first zone of a provider network, wherein a first channel of the first zone is associated with a first source and a second channel of the first zone is associated with a second source; receiving complexity and quality data per frame per encoder of each channel of a second zone of the provider network, wherein a first channel of the second zone is associated with the first source and a second channel of the second zone is associated with the second source; determining, based on the received complexity data and quality data, which channels are to be active, wherein an active channel's content data is to be included in the multi program transport stream output; providing an indication to the channels of which channels have been determined to be active based upon the encoder determination; receiving content data from the encoders of the active channels; and generating a multi program transport stream output from the received content data.
