SYSTEM AND METHOD OF HIGH-RESOLUTION DIGITAL DATA IMAGE TRANSMISSION
A system and method for transmitting still images and a video feed from an unmanned aerial vehicle to a ground station is disclosed. The system includes an aircraft including a digital video camera to capture still images and video frames of an object. A video encoder is coupled to the camera to provide a video output including video packets. A file server is coupled to the camera to provide a still image output including image data packets. A multiplexer is coupled to the video output and the still image output. The multiplexer produces a data transmission including the video packets and the image data packets. A transmitter sends the data transmission to the ground station. The ground station receives the data transmission and demultiplexes the packets into separate video and image data packets. The ground control station may select the ratio the video stream images in relation to the still image to be transmitted from the aircraft.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING PROCESSES OF A BROADCAST SIGNAL
An apparatus for receiving a broadcast signal, the apparatus including a tuner configured to receive transport packets for signaling data and transport packets for delivery objects, a delivery object is a part of a file for video content of a broadcast service: a signaling parser configured to parse the signaling data including session information including an extended file delivery table providing information about delivery of the file, in which the extended file delivery table including file template information: and a data processor configured to generate location information for the file by substituting an identifier in the file template information with a Transport Object Identifier (TOI) in a header of a transport packet for the delivery object. Further, a payload of the transport packet for the delivery object carries a contiguous portion of the delivery object starting from a beginning of a first byte value through a byte value related to a sum of the first byte value and second byte value, the first byte value is a value of start offset information, that is followed by the payload, in the transport packet, and the second byte value is a length of the payload computed by subtracting a size of the header and a size of the start offset information from a total length of the transport packet.
Synchronous playback system and synchronous playback method
A synchronous playback method adapted for enabling a plurality of playback devices to synchronously play media content stored by the playback devices. The method includes performing a time-calibrating operation on a time server by each of the playback devices to obtain a target time error value of each of the playback devices; issuing a plurality of playback commands to the playback devices through a control server; calculating adjusted target time of each of the playback devices according to target time of the received playback command and the target time error value of each of the playback devices through each of the playback devices; and playing a plurality of pieces of target media content corresponding to the playback commands according to the adjusted target time of the respective playback devices through the playback devices.
DECODER EQUIPMENT WITH TWO AUDIO LINKS
Decoder equipment includes a first output suitable for connecting to audio playback equipment, a second output suitable for connecting to video playback equipment, processor means configured to use a first audio link of the first output to deliver a first audio signal coming from an incoming audio/video stream received by the decoder equipment, and to use a second audio link to deliver a second audio signal associated with at least one sound generated by the decoder equipment. The first link presents first characteristics imparting a first latency to the first audio signal and the second link presents second characteristics imparting a second latency, lower than the first latency, to the second audio signal.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONTENT CONTROL
Methods and system for providing content are disclosed. One method can comprise receiving a request for data at a first time, wherein the data comprises a first time duration, determining a buffer size based upon the first time duration, and determining a playback window based upon the determined buffer size and the first time. The method can also comprise synchronizing presentation of content on a plurality of devices.
Transmission apparatus, transmission method, reception apparatus, and reception method for forward error correction frame
The present technology relates to a transmission apparatus, a transmission method, a reception apparatus, and a reception method that allow for reliable notification of a start position of a transport packet or a transport stream during encapsulation of the transport packet or the transport stream in an error correction block. The transmission apparatus generates an FEC block on the basis of an input packet or an input stream, generates an FEC frame on the basis of the FEC block, and sends the FEC frame. A header of the FEC block includes type identification information identifying a type of the input packet or the input stream, information detecting a header error, and a minimum fixed length header having start position information of the input packet or the input stream stored in a payload of the FEC frame. The present technology is applicable, for example, to data transport.

Apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving processes of a broadcast signal
A broadcast reception apparatus includes a packet receiver to receive transport packets for signaling data through a dedicated transport channel, and receive transport packets for a delivery object through other transport channels, wherein the delivery object is a part of a file for video content of a broadcast service, a signaling parser to extract the signaling data including session description information and an extended file delivery table providing information about delivery of the file, and a data processor to recover the delivery object based on the signaling data, and generate location information for the file by substituting file template information included in the extended file delivery table with a Transport Object Identifier (TOI) in a header of a transport packet for the delivery object.
AUDIO METADATA SMOOTHING
The disclosed computer-implemented method for smoothing audio gaps using adaptive metadata identifies an initial audio segment and a subsequent audio segment that follows the initial audio segment. The method accesses a first set of metadata that corresponds to a last audio frame of the initial audio segment and accesses a second set of metadata that corresponds to the first audio frame of the subsequent audio segment. The first and second sets of metadata include audio characteristic information for the two audio segments. The method then generates a new set of metadata that is based on both sets of audio characteristics. The method further inserts a new audio frame between the last audio frame of the initial audio segment and the first audio frame of the subsequent audio segment and applies the new set of metadata to the new audio frame. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
Carriage of ISO-BMFF event boxes in an MPEG-2 transport stream
A method of media streaming implemented by a network device, the method comprising encapsulating a message box into one or more packets in a segment, and sending the segment directly or indirectly to a streaming client.
