In-Stream Controls for National Video Distribution
Systems and methods are described for delivering regional content for a lineup over a national network. A content provider may select a particular regional broadcast for inclusion in a regional service lineup. The content provider may be able to broadcast multiple, or even all, services nationally. At regional distribution centers, a multiplexer may select only those services that are desired for the region in response to in-stream signals. In some instances, a single region-specific version of a given service may be selected from multiple versions broadcasted nationally. The regional lineup, including the selected services, can then be multiplexed and transmitted to customers throughout the region.

Method and device for transmitting video content and method and device for receiving video content
The present disclosure relates to a method and device for transmitting and receiving video content including three-dimensional (3D) data. The method of transmitting video content through a plurality of assets includes identifying whether content transmitted through an asset is a sub-picture; when the content transmitted through the asset is the sub-picture, generating sub-picture asset information comprising information about other sub-pictures constituting a composition picture together with the sub-picture; and transmitting the sub-picture asset information and the content.
VOD PRODUCT RENDERING CONTROLLER
A product rendering controller (PRC) manages the overall process of creating video-on-demand (VOD) assets or products from source assets that are obtained from a wide variety of different content sources (e.g., web-based sources) and which are in a wide variety of different native media formats. The source assets are converted to video transport streams such as an MPEG transport stream and transcoded as necessary to create the VOD products. The PRC determines the VOD products that need to be generated, pre-caches data that is to be incorporated into VOD products, and selects the pool of video product generators that is to be used to convert the source assets to VOD products.

Video aware transmission and multiple input multiple output layer processing
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a communication device may classify a set of packets of streaming video content based at least in part on one or more video characteristics; assign the set of packets to a plurality of transport blocks based at least in part on classifying the set of packets, wherein a first transport block is associated with a first set of values for a set of communication parameters and a second transport block is associated with a second set of values for the set of communication parameters, and wherein the set of communication parameters is associated with a layer mapping technique; and provide the plurality of transport blocks for transmission based at least in part on assigning the set of packets to the plurality of transport blocks. Numerous other aspects are provided.
CONFORMANCE WINDOW PARAMETERS IN VIDEO CODING
Methods and apparatus for video processing are described. The video processing may include video encoding, video decoding or video transcoding. One example video processing method includes performing a conversion between a video comprising a picture in a video unit and a bitstream of the video according to a format rule. The format rule specifies that, responsive to a width of a picture being equal to a maximum allowed picture width in the video unit and a height of the picture being equal to a maximum allowed picture height in the video unit, a conformance window flag in a picture parameter set corresponding to the picture is set to a zero value.
Reception apparatus, reception method, transmission apparatus, and transmission method for indicating presence or absence of signaling information in a payload of a packet
A reception apparatus receives a content transmitted in an IP transmission system, acquires, based on first control information that is transmitted in a first layer in a protocol stack of the IP transmission system and includes information indicating whether second control information transmitted in a second layer higher than the first layer exists, the second control information, and controls operations of units that process the content based on the second control information.

Control Information for a Wirelessly-Transmitted Data Stream
Control information for configuring an audiovisual device to present multimedia content according to a first service type may be generated. A method may include generating first control information for configuring an audiovisual device to decode a multimedia stream, generating first data that indicates a structure of the first control information, and transmitting the first data and the first control information. The first control information may be generated according to a first protocol version. Second data and second control information may be similarly generated and transmitted according to a second protocol version. Disclosed techniques may facilitate receiving devices to determine whether they support received wireless transmissions and decode the transmissions based on the control information.
