SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VIEWING-SESSION CONTINUITY
The present disclosure is generally directed to media systems configured to receive and play media assets. In particular, methods and systems are provided for improved media asset session continuity across such media systems. Systems and methods are provided herein for continuing media asset sessions across media systems or media devices in a way designed to minimize manual intervention, for example, by determining a likelihood (e.g., a probability) of a user requesting media session continuation of an ongoing media asset or a segment thereof across two or more devices.

Enabling motion parallax with multilayer 360-degree video
Systems and methods are described for simulating motion parallax in 360-degree video. In an exemplary embodiment for producing video content, a method includes obtaining a source video, based on information received from a client device, determining a selected number of depth layers, producing, from the source video, a plurality of depth layer videos corresponding to the selected number of depth layers, wherein each depth layer video is associated with at least one respective depth value, and wherein each depth layer video includes regions of the source video having depth values corresponding to the respective associated depth value, and sending the plurality of depth layer videos to the client device.
Internet enabled video media content stream
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method that includes receiving weblink information, receiving media content, inserting the weblink information into a digital frame, providing the plurality of digital frames as a video stream to a consumer media device, displaying, by the consumer media device, the video stream, receiving, by the consumer media device, a user input to pause the video stream during the displaying of the video stream to pause the video stream to display a current digital frame of the plurality of digital frames, receiving, by the consumer media device, a user input indicating a selection of a portion of the current digital frame, determining selected Weblink information for the portion of the current digital frame, and providing a connection to a website associated with the selected Weblink information to the consumer media device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Method and apparatus for automatic HLS bitrate adaptation
A media player system is provided for receiving and processing a media program that uses a time interval interval t.sub.D required to decode N.sub.D frames of the media program segment. The media system receives the requested media program segment, processes the segment and determines if the throughput of the media program differs from the desired presentation throughput by a tolerance amount. Both decoding and rendering performance are determined and used to determine presentation throughput, and to determine if heavier or lighter variants of the media program should be requested for subsequent media program segments.

Media streaming
A method for streamed playback of media in a media client from a remote media service includes: a) determining address information for locating the service and for a starting time; b) by the address information, requesting and receiving a first media package from the service; the package having decoder configuration information, one or more frames, associated timing information for playback frames, and a pointer to a subsequent part of the media stream; c) configuring a decoder of the client by the decoder information; d) starting playback of the stream in the client at the starting time by providing the frames to the configured decoder; e) by the pointer, requesting a remaining portion of the media having subsequent frames of the media stream and associated timing information; f) receiving the subsequent frames as a stream and continuing playback by providing the subsequent frames and associated timing information to the configured decoder.
Playback method, system, device and readable storage medium of live broadcast content
The present application discloses techniques for playback of live broadcast content. The techniques comprise receiving a request of playing live broadcast content from a client computing device, wherein the request comprises information indicating a first address associated with the live broadcast content, and the request further comprises a playback time parameter indicating a playback time length; generating a second address based on a current system time parameter, the first address, and the playback time parameter; obtaining live broadcast content based on the second address and transmitting the live broadcast content to the client computing device.
