PRESENTING PERSONALIZED ADVERTISEMENTS IN A MOVIE THEATER BASED ON EMOTION OF A VIEWER
A method for presenting advertisements based on emotion of a viewer is provided. A first emotional state of a viewer wearing smart glasses is detected using first sensor data captured by a sensor of the glasses. A rate is set according to the detected first emotional state. A set of advertisements is displayed on the smart glasses according to the set rate while a movie is played so that the advertisements are perceived by the viewer as overlaying the movie.
Interactive computer system for providing television schedule information
The present invention provides systems and methods for providing television schedule and/or listing information to a viewer, and for allowing the viewer to link, search, select and interact with information in a remote database, e.g., a database on the internet. The television schedule and/or listing information can be displayed on a variety of viewer interfaces, such as televisions screens, computer monitors, PCTV screens and the like. The television schedule and/or listing information may be stored on the viewer's computer, television, PCTV, or a remote server (e.g., a website), or the television schedule and/or listing information may be downloaded from a remote database to the viewer's computer, television or PCTV.
Recipient specific lists for distribution of media content
There is provided a system and method of recipient specific lists for distribution of media content. The method comprises obtaining at least one unique identifier (UID), wherein the at least one UID identifies a content, and wherein the at least one UID identifies a recipient location and presentation data, generating a recipient specific list (RSL) using the at least one UID, wherein the RSL includes at least one content identifier, and wherein the RSL includes at least one recipient identifier, and transmitting the RSL to an encoded content transport stream creator for creation of an encoded content transport stream. The at least one recipient identifier may correspond to a broadcast affiliate television recipient or a multichannel video programming distributor. Additionally, the RSL may contain primary content, such as television programs, movies, commercials, and promotional programming, as well as secondary content, such as content overlays, program schedules, and triggers.
Video-on-demand and targeted advertising
A method and apparatus for aggregating the data for a plurality of individualized programs into a single channel, and allocating the channel bandwidth as-needed for provision of short video programs on an on demand basis, so that the total bandwidth required to provide the individualized channels and associated video clips is substantially reduced. Also provided is a real-time, single-user-targeted individualized advertising associated with the viewer selection that personalizes the user's iTV experience. The advertisements are targeted in real-time based on an immediate interest revealed by the user in a search request for content. Short duration videos are provided so as not to over-tax the individualized on demand channel's limited bandwidth.
Evolutionary parameter optimization for selecting optimal personalized screen carousels
Systems and associated methods are described for providing content recommendations. The system selects a first plurality of subsets of content categories, each subset of content categories comprising a first number of content categories. The subsets are assigned reward scores based on content popularity and duplication. The subset are then iteratively modified to increase the rewards scores. If the reward scores are still low, the process is repeated by selecting a second plurality of subsets of content categories, each subset of content categories comprising a second number of content categories, different from first number.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MULTI-CAST STREAMING
A multicasting download-to-mobile-device service that broadcasts and distributes digital media over cellular networks is described. The most preferred embodiments of the present invention comprise a network that distributes a plurality of media titles (e.g., movies, tv shows, concerts, etc.) via multicast streams where the media titles are stored in local storage on a mobile electronic device (e.g., cellular telephones and tablets) and, by way of a mobile device app, allows users to play the stored media titles locally from their devices using current on demand playback methodologies. In addition, at least some preferred embodiments of the present invention comprise a data carousel that curates and delivers discrete media titles to selected cell towers and/or hubs, thereby providing for relevant media titles to be multicast to discrete regions and not the entire network. Finally, the data carousel may be configured to synchronize relevant titles for discrete users of the service.
Media services devices and methods
A media services device including a display device configured to present user-selectable options corresponding to video-on-demand services, and a video-on-demand application server component configured to provide the video-on-demand services responsive to user selection of the options.
PARAMETER MODIFICATION FOR SELECTING PERSONALIZED ITEM SETS
Systems and associated methods are described for providing content recommendations. The system selects a first plurality of subsets of content categories, each subset of content categories comprising a first number of content categories. The subsets are assigned reward scores based on content popularity and duplication. The subset are then iteratively modified to increase the rewards scores. If the reward scores are still low, the process is repeated by selecting a second plurality of subsets of content categories, each subset of content categories comprising a second number of content categories, different from first number.
DYNAMIC FREQUENCY CAP FOR CONTENT DELIVERY
Systems and methods are directed to selecting and delivering targeted content. In response to a request from a user, a central control component accesses content delivery data and content provider settings. Based on the content delivery data and the content provider settings, the central control component generates content delivery settings that include a plurality of frequency capping (Fcap) rules. The content delivery settings are transmitted to a serving system. A determination component of the serving system accesses user data associated with the user that indicates user preferences. Based on the content delivery settings and the user data, the determination component selects a piece of content to deliver to the user. A delivery component then delivers the piece of content to the user.
AGGREGATION AND PRESENTATION OF VIDEO CONTENT ITEMS WITH DIGITAL ADVERTISING EXECUTION
A video aggregation system for providing a user personalized video content from videos available on the Internet generates a selective feed by combining a first feed and a second feed. The video aggregation system receives a search request from an Internet service and transmits a search reply containing a separately resolvable link to a video content object from the selective feed.
