Systems, methods and articles to facilitate selling of advertising inventory
Systems and methods for providing an advertisement marketplace where buyers and sellers can trade mediacast advertisement inventory programmatically at local, national, and/or worldwide levels. The marketplace system may include a seller-controlled marketplace system which connects sellers with buyers and offers revenue management tools for optimizing yields across direct and programmatic channels. The advertisement inventory is bought and sold as canonical inventory units which group similar but discrete advertisement slots together. The marketplace system may include a seller side platform (SSP) for sellers through which sellers can access demand across multiple sales channels and can make advertisement inventory available and accept or reject bids based on marketplace demand.

SWIVEL SEARCH SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for performing an integrated search is provided. An interface is provided that allows users to search and select any data related to a searchable term. Searchable terms may comprise titles of content, actors, and tags. Upon receiving results from the initial search, the user progresses through the initial search by selecting a result from the initial search and conducting a further search of that selection. The search may progress through many layers of searching in order to find information useful to the user and the user may perform actions based upon results of the search. The search implements a display with two columns, the first column displaying selectable data, and the second column displaying results to the selected data. The search is further customizable based upon a privacy level selected by the user.

Data delivery device, system, method, and recording medium
[Problem] In order to improve the likelihood of being able to continue delivery even during degradation of communication quality and improve the efficiency of use of the capability of a transmission path, even with hierarchical encoding having a small number of hierarchies, the present invention comprises: measuring the communication quality of the transmission path with a data receiving device; determining a hierarchical structure of hierarchical data on the basis of the results of measuring the communication quality; generating the hierarchical data of the hierarchical structure by hierarchical encoding of input data; and delivering delivery data of at least some hierarchies of the hierarchical data to the data receiving device.
Automatic rating of crowd-stream caller video
A method comprises receiving video streams from a plurality of mobile devices associated with respective distinct users of a crowd-stream video application, evaluating the received video streams relative to an event of interest, selecting particular ones of the video streams for use in generation of crowd-stream video output based at least in part on results of the evaluating, generating the crowd-stream video output utilizing at least portions of the selected video streams, and providing the crowd-stream video output to one or more servers of a content delivery network for delivery to one or more viewer devices. The video streams illustratively comprise live video streams of the event of interest captured by respective ones of the mobile devices. In some embodiments, evaluating the received video streams relative to an event of interest comprises evaluating the received video streams in terms of at least vantage point relative to the event of interest.

Verifying presentation of video content
The serving of advertisements with (e.g., on) video documents may be improved in a number of ways. For example, a system may (a) accept information defining at least one ad spot associated with at least one instance of an video document, (b) accept offers to have advertisements served in the ad spot(s), and (c) arbitrate among competing advertisements, using at least the offers, to determine at least one advertisement to be served in that ad spot(s). As another example, a system may (a) accept relevance information for an advertisement, (b) determine at least one video document using the accepted relevance information, (c) present information about the video document(s) to an advertiser associated with the advertisement, and (d) accept, from the advertiser, an offer to have its advertisement served with at least one of the video document(s) accepted. As yet another example, a system may (a) accept relevance information for an video document, (b) determine a plurality of advertisements relevant to the video document using the relevance information and serving constraints of the advertisements, and (c) select at least one of the determined relevant advertisements to be served with the video document. Examples of video documents include video files published on the Internet, television programs, live or recorded talk shows, video-voice mail, segments of an video conversation, etc.
