MEDIA COMPUTING DEVICE WITH MULTIPLE VIRTUAL SCREENS AND PERSONAL AREA NETWORK CAPABILITY
A media computing device with multiple virtual screens and personal area network capability, comprising a processor, a memory, an HDMI controller operating an HDMI interface, a wireless network interface configured to communicate via a local area network and configured to communicate via a personal area network, a media management subsystem, a virtual screen driver; and an operating system comprising programming instructions stored in the memory of and operating on the processor and configured to operate multiple virtual screens for user interaction via devices communicating via a network.
ENTERPRISE THEATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Novel methods and systems for providing an enterprise theater management system are disclosed. A remote or cloud-based enterprise theater management system uses a ruleset to uniformly control theater playlist presentation for multiple theaters in either a point of sale controlled or fully autonomous manner, including the sequencing of theater cues with the playlist clips.
Systems and methods for monitoring electronic displays
A system for monitoring displayed content, such as advertisements, has at least one sensor that is used to monitor an electronic display and provide information about the operation of the display, such as the content being displayed or whether one or more components of the display are operating correctly. The sensor is selected, positioned, and/or otherwise configured to limit the its ability to collect information in the environment surrounding the display so as to reduce concerns about the use of the sensor in a private or secure environment. The system may be used to confirm that the hardware of the display system is operating correctly and displaying the proper content at the proper times.
Chroma key and presentation system, method, and kit
A chroma key and presentation system, a presentation method, and a presentation kit all for simultaneous use in the presence of an in-person audience and remote audience. The system comprising: a chroma key light source, configured in use to emit chroma key light; a display surface which may be used as a projector screen for displaying projected media for viewing by the in-person audience from a projector, the display surface being at least partially transparent to the chroma key light; a camera disposed on an opposing side of the display surface to the chroma key light source, wherein the camera is configured to receive chroma key light for use in generating a composite image for the remote audience; and a directional light control filter, configured to reduce chroma key light transmission in a direction away from the camera.
DISPLAY APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A display apparatus and a control method thereof are provided. The display apparatus includes: a signal receiver configured to receive an image signal; a signal processor configured to process the received image signal; a display configured to display an image based on the processed image signal; a storage; a user input receiver configured to receive a user input; and a processor configured to display, on the display, at least one candidate profile from among a plurality of candidate profiles, each of which includes different setting information for a plurality of setting items, to select one from among the displayed at least one candidate profile according to the received user input, and to store in the storage in response to the selecting, the setting information for the plurality of setting items includes in the selected candidate profile. Accordingly, the display apparatus may simplify or automate an initial setting process.
MULTI-SCREEN CASTING SYSTEM FOR FLIPPED TEACHING CLASSROOM
The multi-screen casting system for a flipped teaching classroom contains, with the classroom, at least a receiving screen having a video/audio receiving interface connected to a multimedia streaming device, a set of at least two inter-casting devices, and a wireless broad band base station providing dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz) WiFi LAN communications. The multimedia streaming device contains firmware for locating and processing video/audio transmission within the WiFi LAN, and presenting received video/audio or data on the connected receiving screen. Each inter-casting device is one of a notebook computer, a smart phone, and a tablet computer. The inter-casting devices conduct, in a time-sharing manner, peer-to-peer communications among themselves and many-to-one communications to the multimedia steaming device of the receiving screen.
NETWORKED PUBLIC MULTI-SCREEN CONTENT DELIVERY
Interactive, multimedia content is presented on multiple display devices in public areas. The display device includes components for recognizing users in viewing areas and selecting content to present the recognized users. Content may be specifically tailored for the recognized users, and the content may be split up into mini-episodes that are displayed across disparate public display devices. As the users are detected at the different display devices, the mini-episodes of content may be presented in a sequential manner, such that a first mini-episode is played at on a first display device, a second mini-episode is play on a second display device, and so on until the content is entirely played. User interactions to the presented content may also be captured and used in future content selections.
High dynamic range, backwards-compatible, digital cinema
HDR images are coded and distributed. An initial HDR image is received. Processing the received HDR image creates a JPEG-2000 DCI-compliant coded baseline image and an HDR-enhancement image. The coded baseline image has one or more color components, each of which provide enhancement information that allows reconstruction of an instance of the initial HDR image using the baseline image and the HDR-enhancement images. A data packet is computed, which has a first and a second data set. The first data set relates to the baseline image color components, each of which has an application marker that relates to the HDR-enhancement images. The second data set relates to the HDR-enhancement image. The data packets are sent in a DCI-compliant bit stream.
Methods, systems, and media for controlling information used to present content on a public display device
Methods, systems, and media for controlling information utilized to present content using a public display device are provided. In some implementations a method for presenting content on a public display device is provided, the method comprising: (a) initiating communication with one or more display devices; (b) selecting a display device; (c) establishing a communication channel with the selected display device; (d) receiving information related to an area of a screen allocated for use by the user device; (e) identifying content that is to be presented using the selected display device; (f) generating formatted content based on the area of the screen allocated for use by the user device; (g) transmitting the formatted content to the display device using the communication channel; and repeating at least (e) to (g) until (h) determining that presentation of content using the selected display device is to be inhibited.
Method for interactive digital cinema system
A method and system for providing interactive cinema, by collecting digital data from members of an audience in response to content projected in a cinema, processing the data, interfacing the data using a digital content interface with a digital content server, and providing interactive content based on the data.
