SCHEDULING COMPRESSED VIDEO FRAME FOR IN-VEHICLE WIRELESS NETWORKS
A video stream scheduling unit may schedule resource allocations for each video frame of a plurality of video frames of video streams from a plurality of video sources based on a compressed frame type of the video frame, determine that a total frequency bandwidth of scheduled resource allocations for the frames concurrently due for transmission is greater than or equal to a threshold bandwidth, and receive the video streams from the plurality of video sources based on the scheduled resource allocations. The scheduling unit may delay or cancel a video frame with low priority or may instruct a video source to increase the compression rate of the video stream.
Live view collection and transmission system
A system including a third-party server and a live-view server is disclosed. The live-view server receives, from the third-party server, a request for a live view of each location, structure, or point of interest; identifies at least one vehicle positioned at each location, structure, or point of interest; obtains each requested live view from a live-view camera of the at least one identified vehicle; and transmits, to the third-party server, a dynamic hyperlink associated with each requested live view. The third-party server receives, from a request device, a request for a live view of a specific location, structure, or point of interest; identifies at least one live view, from a live-view database, associated with the specific location, structure, or point of interest; and serves to the request device, via the dynamic hyperlink, the at least one live view.
Automatic preset setup for media content playback
A system is provided for streaming media content in a vehicle. The system includes a personal media streaming appliance system configured to connect to a media delivery system and receive media content from the media delivery system at least via a cellular network. The personal media streaming appliance system includes one or more preset buttons for playing media content associated with the preset buttons. The media contents associated with the preset buttons are automatically determined to be personalized to the user of the system.
CONTROL SYSTEM USING IN-VEHICLE GESTURE INPUT
Provided is a control system using an in-vehicle gesture input, and more particularly, a system for receiving a vehicle occupant's gesture and controlling the execution of vehicle functions. The control system using an in-vehicle gesture input includes an input unit configured to receive a user's gesture, a memory configured to store a control program using an in-vehicle gesture input therein, and a processor configured to execute the control program. The processor performs an information display control for areas layered in a windshield screen according to the user's gesture.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR GENERATING AND DISPLAYING A CUSTOMIZED USER WATCH LIST FOR VESSELS
Systems and methods for displaying onboard service information for vessels are described. In some embodiments, a method comprises receiving a user request to add a particular vessel to a user watch list associated with a user; adding a particular vessel identifier of the particular vessel to a set of vessel identifiers of a set of vessels included in the user watch list; and obtaining status of a service type of an onboard service provided on each vessel of the set of vessels. In response to receiving a request to display the user watch list, first graphical interface data is generated. The first graphical interface data represents: the set of vessel identifiers that corresponds to the set of vessels; a service icon for each corresponding vessel of the set of vessels; and a watch list header comprising labels for the set of vessel identifiers and the service type.
DIRECT MEDIA CONNECTION OF A REAR-SEAT ENTERTAINMENT UNIT
Embodiments of the present disclosure set forth a computer-implemented method comprising a mobile device transmitting a discovery request message, identifying, based on a set of discovery response messages associated with the discovery request message, a set of rear-seat entertainment (RSE) units that are available for establishing a direct wireless communications link, generating a first direct wireless communications link with a first RSE unit from the set of RSE units, and streaming, from the mobile device to the first RSE unit via the first direct wireless communications link, media content for playback by the first RSE unit.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ALERTING USERS REGARDING AVAILABILITY OF UNCONSUMED CONTENT
Methods and systems are described for a media guidance application that limits the incentive for authorized users to share content with unauthorized users, while still allowing users to access content virtually anywhere. Specifically, the media guidance application allows an authorized user to receive only a portion of a media asset that he or she is authorized to access on a different device, after a designated time period, and/or when the remaining portion of the media asset is inaccessible.
FROZEN IMAGE DETECTION
Aspects of the disclosure provide for a method. In some examples, the method includes receiving a video stream comprising multiple frames, analyzing the video stream to compare data values representing an image pixel at a specified location in a first of the frames to data values representing an image pixel at the specified location in a second of the frames, determining that the video stream is frozen responsive to the data values representing the image pixel at the specified location in the first of the frames being the same as the data values representing the image pixel at the specified location in the second of the frames, and taking action responsive to determining that the video stream is frozen.
Variable playback rate of streaming content for uninterrupted handover in a communication system
Embodiments relate to systems and methods for modifying the playback rate of media data in order to improve craft-based media playback system performance during handover events in a communication system.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE DATA FILE PLAYBACK
A method at a computing device, the method including receiving, at the computing device, sensor data from a data source; converting, at a playback tool on the computing device, the sensor data into converted data, thereby bypassing abstraction layers at the computing device; and providing the converted data to at least one synthetic sensor on the computing device, wherein each of the at least one synthetic sensor provides an insight regarding operation of the computing device.
