Beverage preparation systems with brew chamber securing mechanisms
Various beverage preparation systems, components, and methods are disclosed. In some embodiments, the system includes a brewer machine and a beverage pod. The brewer machine can include a brew chamber unit, which can receive the beverage pod. The brew chamber unit can be adapted to receive multiple beverage pod types. Some embodiments include a drawer that includes the brew chamber and that moves to present the brew chamber unit to a user. Certain embodiments include locking mechanisms.

Method of supplying disposable brew baskets to a beverage dispenser
A method includes the steps of: providing an electric coffee brewing machine; providing a single-use, disposable brew basket, inserting the disposable brew basket into the electric coffee brewing machine; brewing a single cup of coffee with the electric coffee brewing machine; and discarding the disposable brew basket after the single cup of coffee has been brewed. The electric coffee brewing machine has a cold water reservoir, an electric heating element for heating the water, and a basket receiving recess. The disposable brew basket has a bottom wall and at least one side wall extending generally upwardly from the bottom wall to define a brewing reservoir for receiving heated water from the electric coffee brewing machine. The bottom wall of the basket has at least one port located in a central portion thereof to permit brewed coffee to flow from the disposable brew basket. The disposable brew basket is inserted into the basket receiving recess of the electric coffee brewing machine before brewing.

A low DC and/or AC voltage machine for preparing espresso coffee or other beverages, having a support structure provided with a heat exchanger, one or more heating elements with low energy consumption for heating water in a container, a water circulation pump, thermostats for adjusting the water temperature, a solenoid valve and a filtering and delivering unit, provided with a fixed portion communicating with the heat exchanger and a movable portion formed by a filter supporting body shaped for housing a cup, supporting the capsule containing the metered powder of the beverage, or a filter for receiving the loose powder, or a filter for receiving a paper waffle. The filter supporting body may be displaced from a lowered position for loading the element for preparing the beverage, to a raised position for the infusion of the beverage, and again in the lower position for discharging the exhausted element.

POWDER HOLDER FOR A DRINKS PREPARATION DEVICE
The invention relates to a powder container (1) that can be removably received in a drinks preparation device, wherein the powder holder (1) comprises a housing element (2), a brewing chamber wall (3), a guide element (5) and a brewing chamber base (4) mounted such that it can move in an axial direction, wherein the brewing chamber base (4) is designed to sealingly contact the brewing chamber wall (3) and has filter means for retaining a drinks substrate during a brewing process. According to the invention, the guide element (5) is in the form of a torque conversion sleeve and a first guide (10) is arranged on the guide element (5), wherein the brewing chamber base (4) and the brewing chamber wall (3) are guided in the first guide, and wherein the guide element (5) and the first guide (10) are configured such that a rotation of the housing element (2) relative to the brewing chamber wall (3) brings about an axial adjustment (8) of the guide element (5) relative to the brewing chamber wall (3) and an axial adjustment (8) of the brewing chamber base (4) relative to the guide element (5), such that a two-stage, additive axial adjustment (8) of the brewing chamber base (4) relative to the brewing chamber wall (3) between an uppermost and a lowermost position takes place.
COFFEE LIQUID EXTRACTION DEVICE
The present invention discloses a coffee liquid extraction device, comprising: a machine body equipped with a worktable; a portafilter assembly that performs reciprocating motion on the worktable, wherein the portafilter assembly includes two portafilters used for holding coffee grounds; a tamping mechanism disposed above the portafilter assembly and mounted on the machine body, the tamping mechanism being used to compress the coffee grounds within the portafilters; extraction heads mounted on the machine body, comprising two extraction heads that are equally spaced on both sides of the tamping mechanism; the line connecting the center points of the two extraction heads is parallel to the line connecting the center points of the two portafilters; the extraction heads are used to extract the compressed coffee grounds within the portafilters. This coffee liquid extraction device integrates the functions of tamping coffee grounds and extracting coffee liquid.
BREW BASKET FOR AN AIRCRAFT GALLEY COFFEE MAKER
A brew basket for a brewing apparatus includes a bottom wall including a dispensing opening and a peripheral wall extending from the bottom wall to define a basket opening configured to receive a coffee filter (pillow) pack. A structure is installed within the basket opening for providing liquid channels between a back side of the structure and an interior surface of the peripheral wall. The structure may include a number of perforated sidewall spacers mounted to the interior surface of the peripheral wall. The structure may include an insert spacing ring insertion into the basket opening, wherein the insert spacing ring includes a sidewall with perforated sidewall protrusions.

The present invention concerns a machine (1) for preparing an infusion beverage, comprising: a machine body (10); a filter holder (2) removably constrained to the machine body (10), comprising a seat (2a) for at least one ingredient (100), preferably powdered, for a beverage preparation; a piston (3) constrained to the machine body (10); wherein said machine (1) comprises a motor (M, M) adapted to relatively move said filter holder (2) and said piston (3) between one another, so that to couple said piston (3) with said seat (2a) for, during use, defining an infusion chamber (6) and compressing said at least one ingredient (100) in said seat (2a).
COFFEE MACHINE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING A COFFEE DRINK
A coffee machine including a machine unit and a portafilter device with a coffee receiving space and a brewing filter. The portafilter device is removable from the machine unit. The machine unit includes a movably mounted brewing piston, a brewing water preparation device for producing and delivery hot water under pressure into the coffee receiving space of the portafilter device, and a holding and guiding device for receiving and holding the portafilter device on the machine unit.
The holding and guiding device has a linear guide device for the linear insertion of the portafilter device into the machine unit.
