A communication apparatus for transmitting a virtual viewpoint video receives an acquisition request for a virtual viewpoint video, acquires viewpoint position information indicating a viewpoint position for the virtual viewpoint video from an apparatus that made the acquisition request, and transmits a virtual viewpoint video segment corresponding to the viewpoint position information to the apparatus that made the acquisition request. The virtual viewpoint video is video data in a format in which a video from any viewpoint position in a three-dimensional space can be rendered, and the virtual viewpoint video segment is generated by encoding the virtual viewpoint video as a two-dimensional video based on the viewpoint position information.

STREAMING-BASED VR MULTI-SPLIT SYSTEM AND METHOD
A streaming-based VR multi-split system and method are provided. The system includes a control system, a manipulation terminal and at least one experience terminal. The control system includes a streaming media server, a streaming coding and decoding interaction module and a VR platform. The streaming decoding and interaction processing module is configured to receive a video stream sent by the streaming coding and decoding interaction module, collect interaction data at one side of the manipulation terminal in real time, and transmit the interaction data to the streaming coding and decoding interaction module. The streaming coding and decoding interaction module sends a video picture code of the VR platform to the manipulation terminal, and pushes the video stream corresponding to the interaction data to the streaming media server. A presentation picture corresponding to an operation of the experience terminal is acquired by the streaming media server.

AUTOMATED VIDEO CROPPING
The disclosed computer-implemented method may include receiving, as an input, segmented video scenes, where each video scene includes a specified length of video content. The method may further include scanning the video scenes to identify objects within the video scene and also determining a relative importance value for the identified objects. The relative importance value may include an indication of which objects are to be included in a cropped version of the video scene. The method may also include generating a video crop that is to be applied to the video scene such that the resulting cropped version of the video scene includes those identified objects that are to be included based on the relative importance value. The method may also include applying the generated video crop to the video scene to produce the cropped version of the video scene. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
AUTOMATED VIDEO CROPPING
The disclosed computer-implemented method may include receiving, as an input, segmented video scenes, where each video scene includes a specified length of video content. The method may further include scanning the video scenes to identify objects within the video scene and also determining a relative importance value for the identified objects. The relative importance value may include an indication of which objects are to be included in a cropped version of the video scene.
