MEDIA RESOURCE PLAYING AND TEXT RENDERING METHOD, APPARATUS AND DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The present disclosure provides a media resource playing and text rendering method, apparatus and device and a storage medium. The method comprises: determining, on the basis of a first data box type or a first group type, a region of interest of an omnidirectional video and at least one media resource associated with the region of interest; and playing at least one media resource associated with the region of interest.
MOVING IMAGE DISTRIBUTION METHOD, MOVING IMAGE REPRODUCTION METHOD, MOVING IMAGE DISTRIBUTION APPARATUS, AND DISTRIBUTION DATA STRUCTURE
A moving image distribution method and a moving image distribution apparatus for reducing an increase in server load due to a change in a user's line of sight includes storing a video stream for each viewpoint of a plurality of viewpoints defined on a sphere with a camera as a point of observation, the video stream covering the sphere, and distributing the video stream to a user terminal. The distributing including distributing the video stream for the viewpoint other than a nearest viewpoint, corresponding to a line of sight determined by the user terminal, on the sphere.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING MEDIA THAT REPRESENTS A PORTION OF AN EVENT TO A PORTABLE SUBSCRIBER DEVICE
An illustrative example embodiment of a method includes determining that at least one first condition is satisfied indicating that a subscriber is an event attendee, determining that at least one second condition is satisfied indicating that the subscriber is at least likely to desire observing media representing at least a portion of the event, and providing the media representing at least the portion of the event to a portable subscriber device based on the first condition and the second condition being satisfied.
Digital media system
A digital media system is configured to support any one or more of multiple features with respect to virtual-reality content. Examples of such features include directional picture-in-picture (PIP) windows based on viewing direction, directional audio based on viewing direction, user recommendations based on anomalous viewing times of certain visual features in video content, dynamic adjustment of time-to-live (TTL) durations prior to requesting deletion of video files uploaded to a content distribution network, dynamic adjustment of durations of video files to upload based on network capacity, dynamic adjustment of quantities of video files per set to upload based on network capacity, dynamic resizing of top-depicting or bottom-depicting regions within the picture areas of sets of video files, dynamic resizing of the picture areas themselves within sets of video files, or any suitable combination thereof.

Method and apparatus for adjusting view for target device, electronic device and medium
A method and an apparatus for adjusting a view for a target device, an electronic device, and a computer-readable medium are provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure. A specific implementation of the method includes: determining whether a currently playing video is a video of a first type in response to detecting a change of a posture of the target device; and adjusting a display direction of the video-stream-play view to match the posture of the target device and adjusting a display position and/or transparency of the at least one video-stream-play interactive control in response to determining that the currently playing video is the video of the first type. This implementation achieves matching of the view with the posture of the target device and enhances adaptability of the video-stream-play interactive control with the adjusted video-stream-play view.
Systems and methods for region-of-interest tone remapping
Systems and methods are described for providing viewers of adaptive bit rate (ABR) streaming video with the option to view alternative streams in which an alternative tone mapping is applied to one or more regions of interest. The availability of streams with alternative tone mappings may be identified in a media presentation description (MPD) in an MPEG-DASH system. In some embodiments, the streaming video is divided into slices, and alternative tone mappings are applied to regions of interest within the slices. When a server receives a request from a client device for alternative tone mappings of different regions, slices with the appropriate mapping may be assembled on demand and delivered to the requestor as a single video stream. Tone mappings may be used, for example, to highlight particular players in a sporting event.

Method and device for transmitting video content and method and device for receiving video content
The present disclosure relates to a method and device for transmitting and receiving video content including three-dimensional (3D) data. The method of transmitting video content through a plurality of assets includes identifying whether content transmitted through an asset is a sub-picture; when the content transmitted through the asset is the sub-picture, generating sub-picture asset information comprising information about other sub-pictures constituting a composition picture together with the sub-picture; and transmitting the sub-picture asset information and the content.
Bitstream structure for viewport-based streaming with a fallback bitstream
A method, computer program, and computer system is provided for splitting viewport bitstreams. A first coded video bitstream is at least partially encoded using a first Group-of-Pictures (GOP) structure at a first resolution. A second coded video bitstream structured into a plurality of tiles is encoded using a second GOP structure at a second resolution, whereby the second GOP structure includes fewer coded pictures than the first GOP structure. A streaming bitstream for decoding or rendering is created using the first coded video bitstream and the second coded bitstream.
