OPTIMIZING DIGITAL VIDEO DISTRIBUTION
Systems, methods, and apparatus include computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium, including a system for ranking videos. Videos are identified that have been presented at client devices. For each video, session start data is identified that specifies a lead video that initiated presentation to a user during a presentation session. For each lead video, presentation times over multiple user sessions are determined, a scaled presentation time is obtained, user sessions for which the lead video initiated presentation of videos are identified, and an aggregate video presentation time attributable to the lead video is determined. For each given video, a presentation score is determined based on a scaled presentation time of the lead video relative to a sum of the aggregate video presentation times for the lead videos. The videos are ranked based on the presentation scores. A user interface is updated to present the ranked videos.
RADIO STATION PROVIDER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A method may include receiving radio station data associated with multiple radio stations from one or more radio station providers and filtering the radio stations based at least in part on playback availability. Playback availability may include a broadcast right associated with the one or more radio station providers. The method may also include removing duplicate radio stations and supplying a searchable radio station directory to a platform or a client device.
GENERATING VIDEO SUMMARY
A computer-implemented method includes receiving a viewer request for playing a video summary of a video, wherein the viewer request includes a length of the video summary, generating the video summary of the viewer-requested length comprising a set of frames selected from the video based on audience reviews of the video, and playing a video stream of the video summary.
Systems and Methods for Creating Broadcast Media Channels Playing Media Contents Based on User Ratings
There is provided a system including a non-transitory memory storing an executable code and a hardware processor executing the executable code to provide access to a plurality of media contents in a content repository, wherein each of the plurality of media contents has a rating, receive a rating input from a user device assigning a user rating to a first media content of the plurality of media contents, update the rating of the first media content based on the rating input, if the rating of the first media content exceeds a threshold, add the first media content to a programming queue of a broadcast channel, and transmit the first media content to a plurality of user devices on via the broadcast channel.
Measuring the True Impact of an Ad, Commercial or FSI Coupon
A system for pre-testing advertisements commercials and coupons to determine their impact is on respondents. The system improves upon current existing forms of advertisement which are often inaccurate regarding users' true interests, and which do not make a respondent follow through with his or her answers, making it difficult to know if his or her answers are accurate. In the system, respondents are compelled to spend their free time reading further if they have real interest in the advertisement, and/or or to give information such as their email address or home address to get further information. This type of pre-testing allows a more accurate determination of whether respondents are truly interested in the goods or services in the advertisements that they are shown.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ARRANGING OVER-THE-TOP CONTENT IN USER INTERFACES
Methods and systems are described herein for a media guidance application that arranges media listings in a user interface based on a quality of service associated with a content provider for each media listing.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING CROWD SOURCING TO SCORE ONLINE CONTENT AS IT RELATES TO A BELIEF STATE
A method comprising: during a first time period, obtaining one or more first content ratings of a particular content item from one or more first users, each first content rating defining a first user measure of a belief state of the particular content item; and generating a first content score for the particular content item, the first content score defining a crowd-sourced measure of the belief state of the particular content item; during a second time period, obtaining one or more second content ratings from one or more second users for the particular content item, each second content rating defining a second user measure of the belief state of the particular content item; and generating a second content score for the particular content item, the second content score defining a second crowd-sourced measure of the belief state of the particular content item; comparing the second crowd-sourced measure of the belief state of the particular content item against each of the one or more first content ratings of the particular content item to determine an expertise value for each of the one or more first users; and issuing the expertise value to each of the one or more first users.
Hot video clip extraction method, user equipment, and server
A system including a server, a first terminal and a second terminal, where the server is configured to: send video content to the first terminal and the second terminal, respectively, where the video content includes a first hot clip and a second hot clip; send a first tag of the first hot clip to the first terminal; and send a second tag of the second hot clip to the second terminal; the first terminal is configured to display the first tag on a play time axis of the video content, where the first tag is located in a first location of the play time axis; and the second terminal is configured to display the second tag on the play time axis of the video content, where the second tag is located in a second location of the play time axis.
Systems and methods for playing media assets stored on a digital video recorder while a customer service representative is online
Improved technical functionality is provided to dynamically select and seamlessly play advertisements immediately before playing of a recorded program upon selection of the recorded program for playing, or upon other detected events and conditions associated with the set-top-box (STB) or user. In some embodiments, this is performed by using metadata which may be delivered to and stored on a digital video recorder (DVR) prior to recording the program, providing a technical solution to enable opportunities for additional advertisement impressions. Playing of the advertisement may also or instead occur upon the recorded program finishing playing. Thus, the technical solution provides the additional opportunity for the content creator and/or the satellite television or cable service provider to sell advertising spots in addition to those already sold for breaks within the recorded program.
INTERACTIVE INFORMATIONAL INTERFACE
Example embodiments described herein relate to an interactive interface system to maintain a user support profile, wherein the user support profile comprises a plurality of media content that includes user support content, receive a message request from a client device wherein the message request includes an identification of the user support profile and corresponding message content that includes a natural language request, convert the natural language request to a query term, perform a query upon the plurality of media content associated with the user support profile based on the query term, identify relevant media content based on the query, and cause display of the relevant media content within a chat interface at the client device. The interfaces generated and displayed by the interactive interface system therefore enable a user to access user support without having to navigate to a separate interface.
