Techniques are provided for associating comments with certain positions within a video (or audio) timeline. Multiple users compose comments, such as questions, and cause those comments to be stored in association with the video. Each comment is stored in association with a specific point or section in the video timeline. Later, another user can view the comments and select a particular comment, which causes the video to be played at the position in the timeline associated with the particular comment. Additionally or alternatively, playing a particular portion of a video may cause one or more comments that are associated with the particular portion to be displayed.

Systems and methods of managing content and content requests are described. A data store of profiles of potential content contributors is provided. A request from a first source for content comprising content criteria is received, the content criteria comprising content contributor characteristics and content subject matter. Based on the content contributor characteristics and the profiles, at least a first potential content contributor is identified. At least a portion of the content request content criteria is transmitted to the first potential content contributor. If recorded content is received from the first content contributor, the first source is provided with access to the received recorded content. At least partly in response to acceptance by the first source of the received recorded content, the first source is enabled to publish the accepted received recorded content.

An online video distribution support method is executed by a computer that is communicably connected to a plurality of viewer terminals respectively used by an N number of viewers (N is an integer equal to or larger than 2) who view an online video. The online video distribution support method includes acquiring viewer information during distribution of the online video; calculating an index indicating a viewing situation of the viewers during the distribution of the online video based on the acquired viewer information; and selecting an M number of viewers (M is an integer satisfying 1≤M<N) from the N number of viewers based on the calculated index and outputting information related to the selected M number of viewers.

A system and method for modeling and distributing image data of interest to users is disclosed. Users on user devices such as mobile phones send request messages for image data captured by surveillance cameras of the system. The request messages include information for selecting the image data, such as camera number and time of recording of the image data, in examples. In response, an application server of the system collects the image data from the surveillance cameras, and supplies image data to the users based on a model that the application server creates and updates for each of the users. The model ranks image data of potential interest for each of the users, where the model is based on the information for selecting the image data provided by the users. Preferably, a machine learning application of the application server creates the model for each of the users.

An example system includes a first headset including first sensor to gather first user data from a first subject during exposure to media, the first user data including at least one of psychophysiological data or physiological data; and a first processor to generate first data indicative of an emotional response of the first subject based on the first user data. The example system includes a second headset including a second sensor to gather second user data from the second subject during exposure to the media, the second user data including at least one of psychophysiological data or physiological data; a second processor to generate second data indicative of an emotional response of the second subject based on the second user data and synchronize the second data with the first data to generate synchronized response data; and a second transmitter to transmit the synchronized response data to a central processor.

A program enabler service system providing an interactive service for allowing users to participate in a broadcast program includes: a program-generating unit providing a tool for receiving broadcast program-related information so as to generate information received through the tool in a script format for the broadcast program; a program-executing unit providing information to users participating in the broadcast program through a communication channel provided by the service enabler after reading the information generated in the script format by interacting with the broadcast program; and a service-connecting unit connecting a communication service platform of the service enabler to the program-executing unit.
