A television advertisement reduction apparatus. The apparatus is embodied in a housing. The housing has an input and an output. The output connects to a video display. The housing has a processor therein that analyzes television streams. The processor delays the television stream while identifying advertisements. When the advertisements are identified, they can be skipped in the delayed television stream.

A reception device is provided that comprises processing circuitry configured to extract, from a digital broadcast signal based on an Internet Protocol (IP) transmission scheme, a signaling packet that includes a service table including tuning information and bootstrap information for accessing service signaling information. The processing circuitry is further configured to extract, from the signaling packet during an initial scanning process, the tuning information and the bootstrap information, store the tuning information and the bootstrap information extracted during the initial scanning process, and control a tuning process based on the tuning information stored. The signaling packet is received based on a first protocol layer of the IP transmission scheme and the service signaling information is received based on a second protocol layer of the IP transmission scheme.

The platform may additionally include a server system connected with the client application programs via a communication network. The techniques comprise in response to receiving a request for scheduling a livestreaming session sent by a streamer terminal device, causing to display a scheduling setting page on the streamer terminal device; receiving information associated with the livestreaming session to be produced via the scheduling setting page; generating a corresponding scheduling identifier (ID), and associating the information received via the scheduling setting page with the scheduling ID; causing to display an interface element configured to prompt a query for livestreaming scheduling information on an audience terminal device in response to determining that the audience terminal device enters a live room; and in response to receiving a scheduling query request from the audience terminal device, querying scheduling information published by the online streamer and returning the scheduling information to the audience terminal device for rendering and displaying.

An illustrative method generates for display, at a media consumption device, a display of the live event, wherein the display of the live event comprises the occurrence, determines a beginning of the occurrence in the display of the live event, in response to determining the beginning of the occurrence in the display of the live event, generates for simultaneous display, with the display of the live event, interactive content related to the occurrence, determines whether the occurrence in the live event has ended in real time, and in response to determining that the occurrence in the live event has ended in real time, ceases the generating for display of the interactive content related to the occurrence.
