SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CREATING AN ASYNCHRONOUS SOCIAL WATCHING EXPERIENCE AMONG USERS
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for creating a co-watching experience among audience members who are physically apart when watching the media asset. A media guidance application may monitor a sound of the first user. In response to the sound being detected during the monitoring, the media guidance application may determine whether the first user emitted the sound based on an occurrence in the video. In response to determining that the first user emitted the sound based on an occurrence in the video, the media guidance application may store the sound in connection with a timecode of the video corresponding to a time when the sound is detected. When the video is displayed to a second user, the sound of the first user may be played back based on the timecode of the video stored in connection with the sound. In this way, even if users are physically apart, or may watch a media asset at separate times, by sharing and playing back recorded vocal expression of a user, other users may perceive the vocal expression of the user to create a co-watching experience.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR DISTRIBUTING INFORMATION VIA MULTIPLE FORMS OF DELIVERY SERVICES
Systems and methods of managing content and content requests are described. A data store of profiles of potential content contributors is provided. A request from a first source for content comprising content criteria is received, the content criteria comprising content contributor characteristics and content subject matter. Based on the content contributor characteristics and the profiles, at least a first potential content contributor is identified. At least a portion of the content request content criteria is transmitted to the first potential content contributor. If recorded content is received from the first content contributor, the first source is provided with access to the received recorded content. At least partly in response to acceptance by the first source of the received recorded content, the first source is enabled to publish the accepted received recorded content.
Brand and Ad Messaging Recall Method and System
A video ad or video message is played for a viewer. After the video has played, it is removed from the screen or display and the viewer is presented with a quiz about the message sent by the video ad. The format of the quiz can take one of a variety of formats, all generally enjoyable to the viewer and easy for the viewer to respond to. If answered correctly, a benefit relevant to the activity the user was engaged in inures to the viewer. The advertiser has successfully imparted a message to the viewer, the message relating to the brand, a specific product or server, the company and the like.
Bullet screen posting method and mobile terminal
The present disclosure discloses a bullet screen posting method and apparatus, and belongs to the field of video playing technologies. The method includes: displaying a voice input button on a playing interface during a process of playing a video; receiving a press-and-hold signal acting on the voice input button; collecting voice information by using a microphone within duration of the press-and-hold signal; invoking a voice conversion module, and converting the voice information into text information by using the voice conversion module; and sending, by a video playing application, a bullet screen posting request to a background server, where the bullet screen posting request carries the text information. The method resolves a problem in the related technologies that when a user enters a comment in an input box, an input interface occupies an entire screen or occupies a large part of a screen, and normal watching of a video by the user is affected.
LIVE CONTENT STREAMING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A live media streaming system and method is presented herein. The system and method includes broadcasting a live media stream in at least one of a plurality of themed broadcasting channels, the live media stream being transmitted from a broadcasting device corresponding to a broadcasting user. A jump zone (a physical region or area) is selected or defined based upon predetermined jump zone criteria corresponding to the at least one of the plurality of themed broadcasting channels. Further, a next broadcasting user is selected, wherein the user is located within the physical geographic region of the jump zone. Once the next broadcasting user is selected, a live media stream is broadcasted from the next user's broadcasting device.
Systems and Methods for Displaying Synchronized Additional Content on Qualifying Secondary Devices
A method of displaying secondary content on secondary screen devices, comprising the steps: providing a primary screen content that is displayed on a theater screen; providing secondary screen devices that contain or have access to secondary screen content that is played in synchronicity with the primary screen content. The secondary screen content may include content that is available to all at a specific time point in the movie and content that is only available to users that have earned the right to watch the content. The earned content may be content that is integral and contextual to the primary screen content. Preferably, the earned content may be additional information, plot, or anagnorisis content that is not available in the primary screen content.
System And Method For Recommending A Content Service To A Content Consumer
A system for assisting a content consumer to select content services, the system including a processor that is configured to execute a matching algorithm. The matching algorithm comprises interviewing the content consumer for questions in a plurality of categories, determining a point system for answers obtained by the interviewing step, wherein the answers indicate entertainment interests of the content consumer; calculating a service score for each content service based on the point system, wherein the service score indicates an agreement between a content service and the entertainment interests of the content consumer; and selecting a pre-determined number of content services based on the service score.
DYNAMIC LIBRARY DISPLAY FOR INTERACTIVE VIDEOS
A video library interface provides a listing of interactive videos and information associated with the videos and is dynamically updated as a user views the videos and makes decisions that affect the playback of the episodes. More specifically, an interactive video that includes different traversable video paths is provided to and interacted with by a user. Based on user interactions received during presentation of the video, different video paths within the interactive video are traversed. In addition, a video library display including a visual depiction of information associated with a plurality of videos is provided. The video library display is dynamically modified based on one or more interactions made by the user with respect to the interactive video.
Method for providing interactive services
It is provided a method for providing an interactive service. At the side of a device among a plurality of devices, each being assigned one of two types, the method comprises the steps of receiving a first request associated with the interactive service requesting for responses associated with the interactive service, wherein the first request includes conditional information associated with the devices; and in response to an input from a user, if said device is of a first type, sending the response; and if said device is of a second type, sending the response only if the device meets the conditional information included in the first request.
System and method for generating real-time, event and user-based responses and analytics
The invention relates to a computer implemented system and method for compiling real-time user emotion data in connection with an event as the event is taking place, then aligning targeted communications based on that data. The method may comprise the steps of: providing a user interface for a personal computing device enabling a user to publish statements and provide real-time responses to an event, wherein the user interface receives real-time responses from the user as unstructured text or a selected response; receiving the user's real-time responses; recording response content, response timing, bio data and a user location for the user's real-time responses; compiling the user's real time responses with responses from other users in a group to generate aggregated response data; distributing the aggregated response data to the group; generating real-time emotion data for the user, and sending a targeted communication to the user based on the real-time emotion data.
