Interactive multimedia package methods and systems are provided. An interactive multimedia package system may generate, manage, deliver, and/or play interactive multimedia packages with various digital media. An interactive multimedia package may be incorporated into any platform such as physical media (e.g., CDs, DVDs, etc.), web services (e.g., download, or streaming), and other applications. A user may shop directly off of the digital media that he or she is experiencing (e.g., watching a movie, viewing a digital news, reading an e-book, playing a video game, etc.) The user may be directed to an e-commerce website, a digital storefront, or a list of items associated with an object, by clicking on the object of interest in the digital media.

The objects appearing in the video may be passively up hearing, rather than explicitly introduced or offered for sale as part of the original video content. However, the supplemental information allows such users to discover and/or purchase new products through interactivity with the video content.

Method, system and computer program product for obtaining and displaying supplemental data about a displayed movie, show, event or video game

Method, system and computer program product for providing additional information to a handheld device (HHD) about a displayed point of interest in video programming displayed on a multimedia display. A image of the video programming captured by a HHD camera can be used at a remote server to identify the video programming by matching it with archived programming. If identified, additional information related to the video programming can be obtained/provided. A region within a particular frame of displayed video programming can be selected at the HHD to access additional information about a point of interest associated with the region. The additional information can be displayed on the HHD or a secondary display, in response to selecting the region to access the additional information from a remote server.

A computer-implemented method of remotely influencing a performer at a live event via a customer mobile device is disclosed herein. The method includes: displaying a graphical user interface configured to receive user inputs; receiving a first user input including a user request for the performer at the live event; presenting predetermined terms and conditions associated with the user request; receiving a second user input including a user acceptance of the terms and conditions associated with the user request; transmitting the user request to a host server upon receiving the user acceptance of the terms and conditions associated with the user request; receiving a confirmation of the terms and conditions associated with the user request from the host server; and transmitting the user request for receipt by a performer mobile device of the performer during the live event.

The present technology pertains to managing a sample of a media item using a non-fungible token (NFT) and an associated smart contract. The present technology includes identifying a portion of the media item as a sample, and creating an NFT referencing assignment of a right associated with the sample of the media item. The NFT has an associated smart contract defining a condition upon satisfaction of which the right associated with the sample will be assigned. The present technology may also include identifying market data of the media item, where the market data includes at least one of a list price and historical sales volume for the media item, and identifying charts data, critical review scores, and social media interaction with the media items. The market data can be used to determine a spot price for the sample of the media item.

System and method to identify an item depicted when media content is displayed

A method includes receiving, at a media device, media content from a media content server. A portion of the media content includes a first item concurrently depicted with a second item. The method includes receiving an input indicating a selection of the second item within the media content. The method includes, in response to the input, sending an identification request for information corresponding to the second item to an identification server in response to the input. The identification request includes data relating to a depiction of the second item. The method also includes receiving the information from the identification server in response to the identification request. Other embodiments are disclosed.
