Prevention of erroneous detection of signal
The present technology relates to a reception device, reception method, and program that can prevent erroneous detection of a predetermined signal, such as a P1 signal, included in, for example, a received signal such as DVB-T2. A correlation calculation unit obtains a correlation value between received signals including a predetermined signal in which an original signal and a duplicate signal obtained from a copy of at least a part of the original signal are disposed. An average power calculation unit obtains average power of the received signals. A normalization unit obtains a normalized correlation value obtained by normalizing the correlation value by the average power. The present technology can be applied to a case where a P1 signal being a preamble signal is detected from a received signal such as DVB-T2, for example.
Transmitting apparatus and receiving apparatus, and signal processing method thereof
A transmitting apparatus includes a frame generator configured to map data included in an input stream to at least one signal processing path to generate a frame, an information inserter configured to insert signaling information to a signaling region of the frame, and a transmitter configured to transmit the frame with the signaling information inserted therein. The signaling information including input stream synchronizer (ISSY) mode information, receiver buffer size information required according to the ISSY mode information, and time information representing a time between a P1 symbol of a preset frame for transmitting a user packet and an output of a preset bit of a first user packet of the user packet.
Mobile media pause and resume
In embodiments, the present invention provides a method and system for managing playback of content delivered to a mobile device with a pause and resume functionality. The method and system including receiving delivered content on a mobile device, initiating playback of the delivered content, pausing playback of the content being delivered to the mobile device in response to an action and resuming delivery of the content upon a request.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING MULTIMEDIA CONTENT
The present disclosure relates to a method of transmitting multimedia content in a broadcast communication system, and comprises the steps of: identifying protocol information mapped for each service corresponding to multimedia content; transmitting service-related information including the identified protocol information mapped for each service; and transmitting multimedia content corresponding to related services to a receiving side by using the identified protocol.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING DATA SERVICES ON VEHICLES
Devices, systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for data communication to and from a vehicle. A device is provided that includes memory storing processor-executable instructions; and at least one processor in communication with the memory that executes the stored instructions to: receive, from at least one user on the vehicle, at least one request for data communication; identify a plurality of communication links available at a current location of the moving vehicle; form an adaptive bonded communication link using the plurality of communication links to aggregate throughput across the plurality of communication links for the requested data communication, wherein the adaptive bonded communication link is configured to adapt to data communication requirements for the requested data communication and to data communication characteristics of the plurality of communication links as the vehicle moves. Corresponding methods, computer system products, uses, and computer-readable media are also provided.
Methods and apparatus to broadcast advanced television system committee video in switched digital video systems
Methods and apparatus are disclosed to broadcast advanced television system committee (ATSC) video in switched digital video (SDV) systems. An example SDV broadcast method includes accessing an instruction to de-multiplex at least one of a plurality of multiple program transport streams, the instruction identifying a first program stream of the plurality of program streams for inclusion and a second program stream of the plurality of program streams for exclusion based on a rating region table (RRT). The plurality of program streams are de-multiplexed according to the instruction.
Control information for a wirelessly-transmitted data stream
Control information for configuring an audiovisual device to present multimedia content according to a first service type may be generated. A method may include generating first control information for configuring an audiovisual device to decode a multimedia stream, generating first data that indicates a structure of the first control information, and transmitting the first data and the first control information. The first control information may be generated according to a first protocol version. Second data and second control information may be similarly generated and transmitted according to a second protocol version. Disclosed techniques may facilitate receiving devices to determine whether they support received wireless transmissions and decode the transmissions based on the control information.
Display apparatus
A display apparatus transmits a picture acquisition request for getting picture information to an external image apparatus connected through a predetermined interface to the display apparatus from the external image apparatus at predetermined intervals and gets a plurality of pieces of picture information from the external image apparatus to be displayed. The plurality of pictures may be switched at predetermined intervals, for example, to be displayed, so that the plurality of pictures may be displayed in a so-called slide show manner. A plurality of pictures for thumbnail may be produced from the plurality of pieces of picture information and be arranged together to be displayed in one picture screen of a display device.
ADVANCED DATA CELL RESOURCE MAPPING
An example method of mapping a plurality of modulation symbols of a plurality of physical layer pipes present in a frame to a resource grid of data cells for the frame is described. The modulation symbols of the plurality of physical layer pipes are represented by a two-dimensional array comprising the modulation symbol values for the plurality of physical layer pipes and the resource grid of data cells is represented by a one-dimensional sequentially indexed array.
Tuner device
Disclosed is a tuner device including an input terminal, a separator, a first amplifier, a second amplifier, and a tuner. The input terminal receives an input of a reception signal of satellite digital broadcasts. The separator is connected to the input terminal and adapted to frequency-separate a first signal and a second signal. The first signal is in a low-frequency domain of the reception signal, and the second signal is in a high-frequency domain of the reception signal. The first and second amplifiers respectively amplify the first and second signals. The tuner receives an input of output signals from the first and second amplifiers.
