A radiofrequency (RF) wireline communications system includes an interference filter for filtering interference noise at a cable interface that couples a cable of the system to functional circuitry. The interference filter includes a first termination resistance element coupled between a first cable conductor and a system ground, and a first termination reactance element coupled to the first termination resistance element. The first termination reactance element has a first termination reactance value selected to direct signals on the first cable conductor, having predetermined frequency characteristics, away from the system ground, and the first termination resistance element has a first termination resistance value selected as a pull-down resistance for interference signals having other than the predetermined frequency characteristics, that are not directed by the first termination reactance element away from the system ground, to cause the interference signals, having other than the predetermined frequency characteristics, to propagate to the system ground.

Described herein is a system and method for a microservices architecture for dynamic channel migration based on real time traffic load. Traffic loads on a first and second radio frequency (RF) channels used by a transceiver to communicate with a plurality of modem devices may be monitored, where the first RF channel is transmitted at a higher frequency than the second RF channel. Based on the monitored traffic loads of the RF channels, data traffic may be migrated from the first RF channel to the second RF channel. Finally, the plurality of modem devices may be notified of the migration.

A system includes an input and a plurality of outputs. The system also includes an in-home network adapter configured to connect to and be positioned between the input and the plurality of outputs. The system also includes a splitter configured to connect to and be positioned between the in-home network adapter and the plurality of outputs. The input is configured to receive signals in a first bandwidth and signals in a second bandwidth. The in-home network adapter is configured to allow the signals in the second bandwidth to pass from the input to the plurality of outputs and from the plurality of outputs to the input. The in-home network adapter is configured to attenuate or prevent the signals in the first bandwidth from passing from the input to the plurality of outputs, from the plurality of outputs to the input, or both.

Hybrid full duplex communications in a radio frequency cable network

Systems and methods presented herein provide for improved duplex communications in an RF cable network comprising a plurality of CMs. In one embodiment, a system includes a CMTS operable to transmit downstream communications to the CMs and to process upstream communications from the CMs. The system also includes a duplex RF communication path between the CMTS and the CMs. The CMTS is further operable to transmit a control signal that directs a first of the CMs to transmit, to direct the remaining CMs to receive the transmission from the first CM, to direct the CMs to report received power levels of the transmission from the first CM, and to calculate RF isolations of the remaining CMs with respect to the first CM based on the reported power levels.

Premises apparatus and methods for aggregated high-capacity data services

Premises apparatus and methods for providing aggregated high-bandwidth, low-latency data service over a content delivery network including existing wireline infrastructure. In one embodiment, a network architecture having service delivery over at least portions of extant hybrid fiber coax (HFC) infrastructure is disclosed, which includes standards-compliant ultra-low latency and high data rate services (e.g., 3GPP and IEEE Std. 802.11 services) via a common service provider. In one variant, an expanded frequency band (e.g., 1.6 GHz in total bandwidth) is used over the coaxial portions of the HFC infrastructure, which is allocated to two or more sub-bands. Premises apparatus are used to support multi-service integration (e.g., aggregation of mobile wireless, premises, and other services), as well as incipient IoT applications and technologies.
