Systems and methods for integrating a set-top box with internet content
Methods, systems and computer readable media for controlling a set-top box includes receiving at processor a request from a user to access a web page. The content of the web page is scanned at the processor for items relating to content that may be available through the set-top box. The processor then provides a web page to the user with an embedded widget which the user can use to select commands to be executed by the set-top box. The processor receives the widget command and sends the widget command to the set-top box for implementation.
Synchronizing and dynamic chaining of a transport layer network service for live content broadcasting
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a processing system of a communication node routing data packets for a first streaming session between a viewer node of a plurality of viewer nodes and a content streaming server through the communication node without interrupting delivery of content data to the viewer node, establishing a second streaming session with the content streaming server to receive the content data, creating a first and second replacement connections by imitating a connections with the content streaming server and the viewer node, receiving a control packet over the second streaming session from the content streaming server, and splitting the first streaming session responsive to receiving the control packet. Other embodiments are disclosed.
METHOD AND SYSTEM OF PUSH-TEMPLATE AND URL LIST FOR DASH ON FULL-DUPLEX PROTOCOLS
A method and system of message exchange for controlling flow associated with multimedia streaming services from a server to a client using DASH are disclosed. In one method, one or more Push Directives are sent from a client to a server to indicate information related to media data requested. At least one selected Push Directive uses one URLTemplate that comprises a list of media parameter values, and where each media parameter value corresponds to one media parameter associated with one media segment requested. The server then pushes one or more groups of data for the media data requested to the client according to the list of media parameter values. In another method, at least one selected Push Directive uses one URLTemplate that includes a first number to represent a number of repeating difference of media parameter values associated with requested media segments.
Systems and methods for autonomous broadcasting
Computer-implemented systems and methods provide for the autonomous broadcasting of video data, audio data, or video and audio data during an event, wherein the broadcasting can be schedule in advance and from a remote location (i.e., over a network).
Method and system for integrated stacking for handling channel stacking or band stacking
A satellite reception assembly may comprise a housing configured to support receipt and handling of a plurality of satellite signals. The housing may comprise circuitry incorporating integrated stacking architecture for supporting and/or providing channel and/or band stacking whereby particular channels or bands, from multiple satellite signals that are received via the satellite reception assembly, may be combined onto a single output signal that may be communicated from the satellite reception assembly to a gateway device for concurrent distribution thereby to a plurality of client devices serviced by the gateway device.
Systems and methods to test media devices
A method includes receiving, at a control server from a first terminal, first input selecting a first media device and a second media device. The first media device and the second media device are coupled to a media switch. The method includes updating control data to generate updated control data in response to the first input. The updated control data associates the first media device with a location of a facility. The location is associated with a port number of a particular controller. The method also includes sending a signal from the control server to the media switch to instruct the media switch to send a first video output of the first media device and a second video output of the second media device to the first terminal.

Other embodiments are disclosed.
System, method, and protocol for transmission of video and audio data
An improved backhaul protocol is provided, as well as computer-implemented systems and methods for autonomously broadcasting video data, audio data, or video and audio data during an event, wherein the broadcasting can be scheduled in advance and from a remote location (e.g., using a web browser), and wherein the video/audio data is streamed to a remote user over a network using the improved backhaul protocol.
