Systems and methods for program source display
The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for displaying a program source indicator. A program may be selected within an electronic program guide. Metadata associated with the program may be received, wherein the metadata comprises a source identifier. A source identifier may be an Internet-streaming service, a broadband TV service, a satellite TV service, and/or a digital video recorder database. Based on the source identifier, a source indicator may be retrieved. A program source indicator may be a superimposed image, icon, or other visual indicator. The source indicator may then be temporarily overlaid on the program content within the electronic programming guide.
Method and device to transfer a video stream between a host device and an electronic descrambling device
A method to transfer a video stream from a host device comprising a controller configured for bulk transfers to a descrambling device, comprises: forming a chain out transfer comprising a chain out header linked with multiple chain out descriptors, the first chain out descriptor pointing to an out description packet containing at least one producer ID, the second and subsequent chain out descriptor pointing to chunks from the video stream, the last chain out descriptor being configured to generate an interrupt; forming a chain in transfer comprising a chain in header linked with a plurality of chain in descriptors, each chain in descriptor pointing to a descrambled chunk; requesting the controller to process the chain; receiving the description packet by the descrambling device and using key data associated with the chunks to descramble them; receiving by the controller the descrambled chunks and triggering an interrupt on the last chunk.

Using content identification as context for search
Techniques for using contextual information relating to content presented by a television as part of a search query for an information search are presented. A search management component, at a given moment in time during presentation of television-related content by a communication device in or associated with a television, identifies contextual information associated with a section of the television-related content and generates a content identifier timestamp associated with the contextual information and the section of television-related content. A search component augments a search query using the contextual information to facilitate customization of a subset of search results based on the contextual information. The contextual information in the search query can facilitate disambiguating the search query or promoting a search result over another search result in the subset of search results, based on the contextual information, to facilitate customization of the subset of search results.

CONTENT TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A content encoding system for generating content to be output to a client device, the system comprising a content obtaining unit operable to obtain video content for display at the client device, an asset determining unit operable to determine one or more assets to be associated with the display of the video content at the client device, an asset package identifying unit operable to identify one or more asset packages comprising respective ones of the determined assets, and determining one or more asset package identifiers associated with those packages, and an encoding unit operable to generate an encoded stream comprising the video content and the one or more asset package identifiers.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DETECTING CONTENT WITHIN MEDIA STREAMS
Systems and methods are provided for detecting a content type of content within a media stream. A computing device may receive a media stream and define a set of media segments that each represent a portion of the media stream. The computing device may identify a first media segment that includes a first boundary and a second media segment that includes a second boundary. The computing device may predict whether the subset of media segments that are positioned between the first media segment and the second media segment include content of a particular content type. The computing device may then transmit an indication of the prediction.

Methods and apparatus to monitor media
Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture to monitor media are disclosed. An example apparatus includes first means for performing a first mapping of a first media identifier and timestamp to a second media identifier in a look-up table (LUT), the first media identifier and timestamp based on media obtained from a server, the first media identifier to identify the media, means for determining a third media identifier and a second timestamp based on media monitoring information (MMI) obtained from the server, the MMI obtained from the server in response to an access of the media identified by the third media identifier by a media device, second means for performing a second mapping of the third media identifier and the second timestamp to the first media identifier and timestamp in the LUT, and means for crediting access of the media to the media device based on the second mapping.
