Method Of Optimizing A Cellular Network And System Thereof
There are provided a system and method of computerized optimizing neighbor relation tables (NRTs) of access points in a cellular network comprising a plurality of access points (APs). The method comprises: a) obtaining initial handover-related estimations for AP pairs each constituted by a given source AP and its neighbouring APs located in a predefined range and thereby considerable as candidates for an NRT of the given AP; b) generating a handover (HO) prediction model; c) using the generated HO prediction model to assess HO-related counts for each AP pair of the AP pairs; d) using the assessed HO-related counts to generate, by the computer, data usable for NRT optimization; and e) enabling modifying at least one NRT in accordance with the generated data.
Method and apparatus for measuring radio resource use per traffic class in a wireless communication system
A method and apparatus for measuring a use of radio resources in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes allocating radio resources to a plurality of transport blocks, and, if at least one transport block among the plurality of transport blocks overlaps at least one other transport block in terms of the radio resources, a use of the radio resources is measured by calculating a sum of a value determined by dividing the number of radio resources allocated to each of the plurality of transport blocks by the number of radio resources which are used by the at least one other transport block in a duplicate manner.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING WHETHER TO OFFLOAD TRAFFIC TO WLAN
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method by which a network entity, which controls a control plane, determines whether to offload traffic of a user equipment (UE) to a wireless local area network (WLAN). The method can comprise a step of acquiring subscriber information on the UE from a subscriber information server, wherein the subscriber information can include a WLAN offloadability indication for a specific packet data network (PDN) connection. The method can comprise the steps of: determining WLAN offloadability for the specific PDN connection on the basis of the WLAN offloadability indication and configuration information; transmitting the WLAN offloadability indication to network nodes according to the determination; and transmitting the WLAN offloadability indication to the UE according to the determination.
CONTROL APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A control apparatus controls communication when a first communication apparatus configured to perform communication based on scheduling by using a first frequency and a second communication apparatus configured to perform communication by using a second frequency that allows communication without being based on scheduling concurrently communicate with a third communication apparatus. The control apparatus obtains information indicating the load state of the second communication apparatus and decides the distribution of data transmitted to the third communication apparatus with respect to the first communication apparatus and the second communication apparatus based on the information.
TECHNIQUES FOR MANAGING ACCESS COMBINATIONS FOR MULTIPLE ACCESS PROTOCOL DATA UNIT SESSIONS
Techniques for managing access combinations for multiple access protocol data unit (PDU) sessions are described. A communication device may receive control signaling indicating a configuration for a multiple access PDU session associated with a plurality of access links. The plurality of access links may be associated with a first type of access, a second type of access, or a combination thereof. The communication device may select a mode for allocation of a data flow associated with the multiple access PDU session to the plurality of access links based at least in part on the received control signaling. The communication device may allocate the data flow associated with the multiple access PDU session to the plurality of access links based at least in part on the selected mode, and transmit the allocated data flow over the plurality of access links associated with the two types of access.
Method and apparatus for updating handover parameters in open-radio access network (O-RAN) environment
The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for identifying handover requirement by a Radio access network (RAN) controller in open RAN (O-RAN) environment. The O-RAN environment has a virtualized network architecture having at least one RAN controller that is able to control, via an E2 node, a plurality of user equipments (UEs) positioned in a serving cell, a cell covering a location for serving a UE, the serving cell is adjacent to a plurality of neighbour cells. The method includes parallel execution of the operations performed by the RAN controller for each serving cell and each of the neighbor cell and updating CIOs in stepwise i.e., gradually with repeated comparing of the serving cell load parameter with each of the plurality of neighbour cell load parameters and updating the serving cell handover parameter and the plurality of neighbour cell handover parameters based on the comparison.
MOBILE APPLICATION SERVICE ENGINE (MASE)
Third party applications are deployed as “containerized applications” on one or more wireless AP devices. The containerized applications are confined to a pre-allocated segregated disk space within a file system of a wireless AP device. The containerized applications have access to standard Linux services as well as access to advanced features provided by an AP.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE, COMMUNICATION METHOD, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A communication device for offloading communication traffic includes: a first means which identifies an attribute of a terminal based on information included in a message transmitted by the terminal to connect to a wireless network; and a second means which processes the message in such a way that the terminal and a base station corresponding to the attribute of the terminal are connected based on the identified attribute.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING CELL SHAPING
The present invention relates to a method and a device for performing cell shaping. A base station can establish a cell shaping plan on the basis of current states. The current states may be the load of the base station and the traffic space distribution of the base station. The base station transmits a first message to a neighboring base station and receives a second message from the neighboring base station in response to the first message. The first message may include the cell shaping plan, and the second message may include whether or not the neighboring base station can perform cell shaping. The base station can determine whether or not to perform cell shaping on the basis of the second message.
Wireless communication system and method, and dynamic association control apparatus and method
It is provided a dynamic association control apparatus comprising: an information acquisition part configured to acquire information related to an object relay node and to candidate base stations to be associated; a blocking probability calculation part configured to calculate respectively a candidate blocking probability in a case where the object relay node performs association with each of the candidate base stations to be associated according to the acquired information; and an association control part configured to select an object blocking probability from the calculated candidate blocking probabilities, and use a base station corresponding to the selected object blocking probability as an object base station to which the association is transferred, so that the object relay node changes to be associated with the object base station to which the association is transferred.
